I am trying to upload panoramic images via iPhone app to Facebook, but it just uploads them as a small, very wide image instead of an interactive panoramic photo. How can this be fixed?

Story going around that in a "secret" Facebook chat, if you take a screenshot, the participants are notified .  I suspect that macOS will not inform Facebook if I use Cmd-Ctrl-Shift-3, especially not if I'm using Safari instead of their stupid app. Is my suspicion correct?

From time to time I get strange colorful lines on my screen in Chrome. It only effects certain websites. I tried disabling "Hardware acceleration" in the settings but that didn't seem to help. What is the cause? Here is a Facebook screen And a Stackexchange screen. Note it only affects the top bar.

In the past, I have posted panoramic photos on Facebook, and Facebook posted them as 360 photos. Recently I have been unable to get Facebook to post any panoramic photo as a 360 photo; instead Facebook will just post it as a really wide photo. I'm using the same camera (iPhone SE) as I did before when Facebook posted them as 360 photos. This problem occurs with both the Facebook website and the Facebook app. How can I get Facebook to post panoramic photos as 360 photos?

When someone calls me on my FB messenger I can only see their short name. I noticed this change after I updated my iPhone to iOS14. Does anyone know how can I change it back? I have multiple people with the same short name and it is very difficult for me to understand who is who. I'm positive that I configured contacts properly like [this](https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202590) yet messenger refuses to show full names.

This week suddenly I’m getting new, unwanted notifications in Facebook iOS app. They do not appear in FB’s website/webapp. They say: > You might still be interested in [Sponsor’s Name]: “[Advertisement Name]… > > Sponsored Under the ellipsis menu, I am given these choices: * *Hide ad* – This will hide this single ad, but it will not stop the next. * *Report ad* – This also will not stop further notification ads. * *Why am I seeing this ad?* – This leads to a maze of legalese. Any ideas on how to stop, disable, prevent, opt out of these new sponsored notifications?

I use an iPhone 14 to watch a Facebook Live Class. The teacher requires that we enable the camera and microphone in settings which I have succeeded in doing. The teacher also requires that a little green camera appear to the right of the comment box in order for him to choose me to answer a question. I am unable to see a little green camera next to the comment box during the Facebook Live thus he is unable to bring into the live class. I have talked to iPhone Customer Service and they have helped me enable the camera and microphone in settings numerous times. They say the problem is with the Facebook settings. Please advise!!!!!

I recently upgraded to MacOS 12.2.1 on an MacBook Air and now there seems to be a problem with messenger notifications. In the messenger app it says: "messenger notifications are turned off", but when open the System Preferences, they are activated. See screenshot: Now what is the status? Are notifications enabled or not? Is that a bug in messenger or in MacOS? The messenger app seems to be up-to-date. How to solve this problem?

I received a Facebook message on my phone B, but cleared the notification. I deleted the Facebook message on phone B. Will phone A still receive the notification even though I cleared everything quickly?

My wife’s iPhone XR has the FB app on it. It will not allow photos to be posted. When you try it says it needs to have access, and takes you to the Facebook settings panel. There is no setting there for photos. There is Siri, notifications, background app refresh and cellular data. Nothing else. On my iPhone there is a page of settings, including photos. I have force quit the app, updated the app, no luck. Suggestions?

I need to know if I create a new Facebook on safari will it log me out of my current Facebook that I’m logged into on the Facebook app?

Is there a way to translate Facebook pages on Chrome/any other browser? I'm not talking about the Facebook built-in Bing translation on individual posts, but the entire page. Things I tried that didn't work: - Using Chrome's built-in Google Translate - Right-clicking and selecting "Translate to English" - Changed the entire site into Chinese/another language and it also did not work: ![Screenshot of a Facebook page in Chinese that Google Translate says is in English ][1] This seems to only be a problem with Facebook. Is there a program/extension that can translate this without me having to individually copy and paste each page?

Is there a way to remove the header and footer that FB adds when I save a page as a PDF (from Chrome on a Mac)? When I ask Facebook to give me an archive of some of my previous posts, I gives me results that link to an archive page, something like this:

which shows thumbnails and 2- to 3-line snippets of all my timeline posts for April 2021. That's really pretty useful for searching. But unfortunately, that page is not searchable. On a Mac, using Cmd+F will only search the framework of the page that has the date text, the displayed snippets of the post contents are not searchable. Cmd+A, Cmd+V will copy the framework text, but not the snippets. If I save it as HTML and reload the saved file, same problem is there. I'm not enough of an HTML guru to figure out how to automate restructuring of the pages. However, I can save the page a PDF and then the full displayed text is searchable. That's what I want. Yay! BUT there is a glitch. FB adds headers and footers to every PDF page that cover over part of the text of the first and last snippet on each. The text is there, hidden. If I search the PDF for text that I know is hidden, Acrobat highlights the area where the text should be, underneath the large colored header or footer bar. So is there a way to get FB to not insert page headers and footers when the web page is saved as PDF? I can save PDFs of other web pages without this kind of problem. Thanks.

For the past three or four days, Facebook will behave reasonably for a few seconds and then will start bouncing all around, maybe a dozen bounces in six or seven seconds. seconds. I hypothesized that either they or Safari was trying to saving up several new posts and trying to add them (to the top of the page) all at once. If Facebook is too stupid to specify in advance the size, that would force Safari to rearrange the page as each one loads. (Because almost every post contains an image.) So I thought I could turn off WiFi, read what's worth reading, then turn it back on and wait for it to stop thrashing. But it did the same thing without internet! It isn't happening for a friend (browser unknown) but it is happening in DuckDuckGo in iPad and Safari on MacBook. Since neither has updated recently, I suspect that Facebook has added some sort of Javascript that they didn't bother to test on a browser using Apple's webkit. (I've been told that Apple requires all browsers on IOS to use Webkit for rendering.) Does that seem like a reasonable conclusion? Any ideas for mitigation. UPDATE: Similar behavior on Firefox but far less intense. One or two bounces in one second and then OK for three or more seconds.

Recently, Facebook introduced a “feature” that makes any link to a Wordpress blog fail. I found a way to reverse those effects for my own blog, but it would be cool to do the same if I were to click such an altered link in Facebook or Google. **Can any of the following be done, and if so, how?** One way (if possible) would be to have JavaScript (or any other language) that runs on page load to check and possibly rewrite links in the page. Not one embedded in the page but applied by the browser to any incoming page. Another would be a way to tell the browser to pass every http(s) through such a function. Do the conversion in a proxy or firewall on anything going out on ports 80 or 443. Or is that coming in? Bonus if I can do it on an iPhone or iPad!

I sign into 8 ball pool using my newly created Facebook account but I have to start all over again in 8 ball pool is there a way I can get back my 8 ball pool data by signing in with my new Facebook account? I have set a time limit with ScreenTime for the usage of Facebook. My phone is properly counting time for the Facebook app and website together and it doesn't disable Messenger when I reach the limit. However, I recently installed Messenger on my Mac and whenever I reach the limit for Facebook, MacOS disables Messenger app too. How can I fix that so that Messenger isn't disabled? I need it as messaging is needed for me to communicate with people, I just want to limit my time scrolling on Facebook timeline?

If I **disconnect from internet**, launch Safari, open Preferences→Privacy→Manage website data, and click Remove All, everything vanishes **except** a cache from fbcdn.net. Selecting that only and clicking Remove also has no change. I know that belongs to Facebook, but why can't I get rid of it? Internet was disconnected, and no tabs were open, so it can't (shouldn't) be that Facebook instantly reloads it. Trying to find it failed. sudo find / -print | grep -i … with various things (fb, cdn, facebook, etc.) for … turns up nothing that seems like a possible fit. (Though it does show a heck of a lot of cruft from apps I haven't used in years!)

When I visit https://www.goodreads.com (MacBook Pro 13" M1) and click on "Sign Up with Email", it takes me to the sign up page (https://www.goodreads.com/user/sign_up?email_signup=true) . Unfortunately, before I can even begin to sign up, Facebook hijacks the page and tries to log me in. I can easily use Firefox to prevent this from happening. Although, I'm just curious (it seems like a fun problem to solve) as to how I can prevent Safari from allowing Facebook from hijacking the sign up process. I have "Prevent cross-site tracking" ticked on the Privacy settings but that's not doing anything. I used the web inspector (I'm not advanced in development, just HTML, CSS, and a little JS) and noticed something. It seems oauth could be the culprit, but that's just my limited knowledge talking. Where do I go from here?

I'm not sure what caused it, but notifications for Facebook Messenger on my iPhone 8 are no longer showing up anywhere (no badges, app icons, or notifications of any kind). However, when I open the Messenger app, I guess it triggers something as at that point it at least updates the badge icon: I've enabled all notification settings I can think of, yet still no notifications. In the Messenger app:
And under Settings > Notifications > Messenger: I'm on the latest version of iOS (14.3) and my Messenger app is up to date (294.0). This seems to be specific to the Messenger app as I receive notifications from other apps (e.g. Messages, Slack) just fine.
