This annoys me a bit as I've got sensitive eyes and I would love to find a solution. Haven't found anything on macos official websites

I'd like to strip out all footage in screen captures where there is no onscreen motion or changes. These are screen captures of non-motion video sources like leaderboards in a game. I would think there are two ways to do this: one would be to get my Mac to act like a security cam with a motion-detector, and only record when there are screen changes. The other way, which I'll probably have to resort to if I can, is to detect when frames change, and introduce cuts. But I can't find a way to do either. I use Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci. Any thoughts?

I have a dull issue with the iPhone 11 Pro. All the apps are being opened from the right side(motion looks confusing, which bothers me a lot.) I have tried force-restart, clearing RAM, and everything in settings, but nothing fixed the issue. Phone is up to date and once I restart the device, issue comes back in a few days. Has anyone had the same problem? Thanks in advance.

We all know and use the replicate option in Motion5 and it works great. but I can not find the option to randomize the start offset, or how to do this. So just a double check to hear from fellow users. *Let's say you have the one single band EQ in the timeline.it moves greatly up and down like a real equalizer meter would do. But this is just 1 bar, and I want at least 10 or 20 or 30 of them posed next to each other, like a real equalizer look. ok the replicator makes a great option to clone it 30 times or any number. Perfectly and nice 30 peaces of audiobars, next to each other. Looks like a real EQ window now, but one big problem: They are all moving the exact same , all going up and all going down in the same time.* I tried to insert a randomizer. but this did not do the job to randomize the offset start point, and make them look moving all different up and down. Of course there is another solution: I can copy the 1 single bar EQ, and pasting it 30 times. **Is Copying the single bar EQ and pasting it 30 times the only way to get this done?** The randomizer is supposed to do the job and I cannot fix this. **Did I mis something? Hope to hear from anyone soon and thanks a lot!**

I have a short sequence loop in Motion 5. The file loops for 3 seconds, but my video is 30 seconds in length. I want to repeat the short sequence file 10 times, so it fits the 30 seconds. The only way I found to do this is to stretch it, but then it plays 10x slower. I don't want the speed to be slower. I am just trying to keep the loop on repeat for 30 seconds on normal speed, but there is no button for repeat to do this. Maybe it is hidden somewhere and I cannot find it.

Is it possible to export sharp pixels (similar to nearest neighbour interpolation in Photoshop, or image-rendering: pixelated in CSS) from within Motion? I would like to work with small 1:1 pixel objects and scale them — but I don't want them antialiased. In Premiere you get this rendering setting with Draft mode. Unfortunately Motion's Draft mode doesn't seem to use nearest-neighbour interpolation.

I have a project in process where the mask has shifted. I want a co worker to look at it and try to fix the issue. When I shared it to dropbox, they could not open it in motion, I'm assuming because all the media files did not accompany it. How do I do that so they can continue working on the project and all that I have done is not lost?

My video editing needs are very, very pedestrian and seldom. I have no real need for Final Cut Pro. When I do make videos, however, I like to customize titles a bit more than what iMovie allows. So Motion 5's relatively low price caught my eye immediately. I know that Motion's main strength is putting together parameterized effect packages that can be exported to and used wholly within FCPX. But if its standalone functionality is full-featured and relatively hassle-free, it might be worth it. So; advice?

1. I have imported a raster map into Apple Motion. 2. I have drawn a bezier path on top of the map and used the Write On behavior to make the path slowly reveal itself (like a travel map during any adventure movie showing the route taken). 3. I've added a camera so that I can zoom and pan the camera over the path as it appears. However, as I attempt to move the camera over the route, the path itself shifts above the map surface, making the path inaccurate with relation to the underlying map. Of course, this is because the angle of the camera is changing, which makes the path appear to shift on top of the map. What I don't know is: how do I add camera moves over a Write On bezier path while not causing the path to appear to shift on the map? Obviously, I'm doing something wrong with the camera, but I don't know what.

Woke up this morning, and 3 apps are not working. Pixelmator, FCPX and Motion all are getting the same message, e.g., “Pixelmator” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “Pixelmator” and download it again from the App Store. As a test, I tried deleting Pixelmator, and downloading it again, but I get the same message. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, because I have a lot of editing to do!

I currently use After Effects / Premier Pro at work. For my home use I need a new laptop and am considering a Mac. The deciding factor will be cost and if iMovie/Motion can do what I want. (I'll probably eventually get Final Cut but its going to be a while due to budget) If I use Motion to create lower thirds, title sequences, and playing a bit with other special effects like particle systems and such... afterwards can I export them with a transparent / alpha background to import into iMovie? I read https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/17682/how-useful-is-motion-5-without-final-cut-pro-x but it doesn't really cover this. Says I would have to slice up the movie and do the Motion work on top of the exact segment I want it. Until I can afford to upgrade to FCP would Motion and iMovie give me the tools I'm looking for?
