Can an iPhone 12 Pro possibly survive in 5m / 16ft deep lake-water for 24 hours?
So yesterday night I dropped my new phone in a lake... We couldn't go after it at the time because it was too deep and too dark. I want to hire a diver if there is any chance that my phone is still working by now, but it's hard for me to figure out how (un)likely that actually is. I know the specifications say 30 Minutes in 2m deep water but I can imagine that the actual ability of the phone to stay underwater could be much better in some cases.

Can iPhone 12 be used safely in pouring rain?

After some googling, I see many articles on circumstances where an iPhone ***can*** be used, but none that say definitely that is perfectly okay to actually do so (or whether it's risky to do so). Also problematic is that most of the top google results come from news paper websites, which are not technical in nature, and therefore not the best sources of such specific questions, and often word sentences to avoid committing to any specifics (and worse, some are speculative i.e. written *before* the details were released by apple!).
Question: if it's pouring rain and you're going out into it, can you continue a phone conversation while walking in that rain?
Assumptions
- That the [device should be thoroughly dried afterward before charging or using any any peripherals](https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT207043)
> If your iPhone has been exposed to liquid, unplug all cables and do not charge your device until it’s completely dry .. allow at least 5 hours
- That the rain is falling like normal (i.e. it is not [pressurised](https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT207043))
> To prevent liquid damage, avoid .. pressurised water or high-velocity water, such as when showering, water skiing, wakeboarding, surfing, jet skiing and so on

Water damage on an iPhone 6s - Sound not working (Locked into Headphone mode)

Luckily, my iPhone worked perfectly perfectly after I turned it on again apart from it wouldn’t play audio, because it thought it had headphones plugged in when it didn't. Can anybody tell me why this is and what to do?
Also, the iPhone 6s apparently has water damage indicators, how may I find these?

What can the LCI (liquid contact indicator) tell you?
So the iPhone official website states 1. "An LCI will activate when it contacts water or a liquid containing water. So the iPhone official website states
1. "An LCI will activate when it contacts water or a liquid containing water. The indicator's color is normally white or silver, but when it contacts water or a liquid containing water, it will turn fully red. An LCI won't activate because of humidity and temperature changes that are within the product's environmental requirements."
I also know that
2. Once the LCI changes color it does not come back; i.e. it's permanent
Can it tell you whether(=can you infer from the two statements above whether it is true that)
3. If no amount of moisture was present during the history of its use, to light the LCI, then no moisture was present to seep into the iPhone and damage it.
4. If no amount of moisture was present during the history of its use, to light the LCI, then no moisture was present to seep into the iPhone and expose the user to non-charging electrocution risk* (unless of course your hands are wet again)
non-charging electrocution risk = electrocution risk while not having the iPhone charged.

How water-resistant is the iPhone, really?
Some iPhones were advertised as being "water resistant" so I thought that there was no problem with keeping them in the bathroom out of the bathtub so that I could listen to music. Will they be safe? After all, if you can submerge an iPhone under liquid water for 30 minutes, then water vapor, which is filled with similar sized water molecules while having much lower density of water (and hence the minerals that come with the water) should be of no concern. Am I wrong?

Does the iPhone 8 have any sort of water resistance or waterproof manufacturing?
I recently got the iPhone 8. After some research, I found that it had the IP67 rating. I'm not sure what this means though especially for a steamy room. Does this rating mean that it is fully waterproof, or is it only waterproof for a certain number of meters?

It would seem clear that the device is not waterproof, but has this been specifically reported or verified after the announcement?

In a few days I am going for a swim in the ocean and am going to swim there for a while. I just want to ask if the Apple Watch Series 2 is capable of being in seawater, which has salts rather than regular pool water.

Is liquipel the best protection on the market? Are there other custom shops that could do anything to make a MacBook either resistant to liquid or even waterproof?
