Family app sharing doesn't share already paid apps

My brother can't get the app, it says he has to pay. He is in my family on apple, and I already paid for these games, but it still says the price for him to pay. I set that purchases and subscriptions are both shared (this app is a purchase, not a subscription, but this is irrelevant). The app in question is Monument Valley 2.
Why doesn't it show as purchased/free download for my brother?
ps.
It just came to my mind that, maybe the purchases are only shared in sense that a certain payment method is "shared". In my opinion, nothing is shared here, and in this case, only the card would be charged multiple times for each family member. If this is the case (if the "sharing" applies only to the sharing of a mean of payment, between family members), then this my question is not relevant.

I have used **iCloud** on my Mac to store my **Desktop and Documents** folders for years.
I have an extra terabyte of iCloud storage that I'm not using, so I'd like to let a family member use it.
I have enabled "Family" in System Settings, and invited the family member, who has accepted (there is an explicit message that "All plans can be shared with up to five family members").
But, the other person is still getting a warning that iCloud Drive is **full at 5 GB**.
Can anyone confirm that it is possible to share iCloud Storage between family members, and point me to what I might be doing wrong?
**Is there some difference between iCloud and iCloud+** that might be at work?
My main computer just says iCloud in the settings, but the family members' computer says "Upgrade to iCloud+ for more storage".

I've two kids under 13 set up in my Family Sharing with access to my 2TB iCloud storage.
For some reason, my son has an amount set of 5GB, which is way too low for what he needs on his iPad. His sister has way more (over 200GB) and I don't understand why. I've been looking on forums to see if and how I can change this 5GB limit (as I've plenty of memory available), but I haven't found anything yet.
Can anyone advise me on how I can sort this out?

Can someone explain the impact / process for moving an *adult* Apple account from one family group to another?
I am astonished that I can’t find any clear answer from a Google search - surely this is a common thing to want to do?
In particular, if the account has more than the base level iCloud storage used, what happens to that storage during the (brief) period when the account is in neither family?
One of the answers to this question:
https://apple.stackexchange.com/q/370462
Suggests that basically it wouldn’t be possible to push more data while the account is briefly over capacity - that wouldn’t be a problem, provided no data is lost and things work normally again from the point of joining the new family group.

I currently have a family plan for two people: myself and my friend. I also have a HomePod, on which I listen to my music.
My friend has an Android phone with the Apple Music App (but has a MacBook).
Can we the HomePod find her Apple Music playlists from Apple’s streaming cloud and let us play her songs via Siri and my HomePod ?

How can they mute a messages thread on their watch?

I want both of us to have permission to administer the account and use our own payment methods if we choose. Options?

As my daughter grows, I wanted to change the settings of **Content & Privacy Restrictions > Content Restrictions > Web Content**, from **Allowed Websites Only** to **Limit Adult Websites**.
But radio buttons don’t seem to work. It asks for the PIN, but after changing, two buttons are selected. It is the same on the child’s and parent's device.
I tried turning off ST, and restarting, and turning on again, but it looks like it gets back to Allowed Websites Only mode.
Is there a way to reset that without signing off iCloud?

I'm trying to create an account for my child who is 8. I've learned that family sharing is the way to go, however it requires adding a credit card to the payment method. Now I do have a credit card but this method is not available for India.
So what would be the best way to create an account through which my child can log in? I've already created a standard user account but I'd want to monitor what's happening in that account and if possible, also control it without actually logging into it.
I've looked at screen time but I am worried if screen time settings could be changed from within the standard user's account? I'd like to use screen time from my own administrator account but I want the settings to be transparent to my child.

I have Family Sharing with 3 other family members through my iCloud+ account (2GB). Right now, we are not sharing storage, and each of the other family members has either a 200GB or 50GB individual plan.
From Apple's Support pages, I understand that if I go to my Account Storage and select "Share With Family," each person will have the option to join the shared storage plan or keep their current individual plan.
What is **not** clear is whether a family member can later choose to switch back to an individual storage plan without leaving the family group (i.e., going back to the way things were after I started sharing my storage but before they chose to leave their individual plan and use the shared storage). They should still have Family Sharing for other items (purchases, location sharing, and non-storage subscriptions) -- they just want to opt out of the shared storage plan after they opted in.
Has anyone experienced this or does anyone know that the option exists?

I originally created apple IDs for my kids in a format like this: FirstMLast@icloud.com
Since then, I've become more privacy conscious and would like to replace these with anonymous accounts that protect my kids' identities and limit their potential for being doxxed.
They have their own devices and are part of our Apple Family, with ScreenTime already configured. They receive emails at their email addresses, texts with iMessage, and have made app and music purchases we share with Family Sharing. They also have their accounts added to our laptops and have some data stored in the cloud associated with their account.
Should I start over from scratch creating new apple IDs and adding them to our Apple Family? Or is there some way to "fix" their old ones? I don't want to lose their purchases or data, though I recognize I may have to do some work to copy/backup/restore them.

I am setting up Apple Family Share for the first time. Currently my wife and I have separate iPhones with separate Apple IDs (separate purchases and everything else), and we have two iPads for our kids under a third shared Apple ID that shares everything (purchases, iMessage, everything).
Now I’m setting up an Apple Watch SE 2 (cellular), and I’m facing a decision: (1) I become the family organizer or (2) I make the shared account the family Organizer. In both cases I plan to switch the iPads to separate new Apple IDs.
So in the end, there will be five Apple IDs under the family: me, my wife, two kids, and the shared account with purchases I don’t want to lose.
The question is, considering you cannot change family groups often, would it make more sense to make the shared account the “master” Organizer account, my wife and I “parent/guardian” accounts, and the kids with child accounts? Or will I be hassled to sign into the master account to make changes, other than adding new family members, and it would be best for me to be the organizer?
It seems like it would be best to have an account rarely used as the organizer that delegates parent roles, so if I ever needed to drop out (for work reasons maybe?) then I wouldn’t have to dissolve the Family Group. But I have not found this advice anywhere yet. Am I missing something?

The official landing page for the Family Sharing feature states the following:
https://www.apple.com/family-sharing/
> When you set up your family, a shared album is created automatically in the Photos app on all family members’ devices. Everyone can add photos, videos, and comments to the album whenever they like and get notified when something new is added. Family Sharing also sets up a family calendar where everyone can view, add, or change events and appointments, and get an alert when something changes. And anyone can use the Reminders app to send time or location reminders to the family. So when it’s picture day, pizza night, or just a trip to the beach, everyone’s in the know.
My household is new to the Apple ecosystem and did not set up the Family Sharing feature on our devices until after iOS 15 was released. After Family Sharing was set up between both Apple IDs, I found that the apps mentioned in the marketing text above did not create the shared objects in these apps automatically. There is no shared photo gallery for the family, no shared calendar, and no shared reminders list. It is still possible to create these objects manually and share them the old fashioned way, but the feature is not working as advertised above.
It looks like either 1) the shared objects are not being generated, or 2) none of the devices are able to see them due to a bug. A few internet searches show others reporting a similar problem, but none ever reported a solution. None of these were terribly recent.
* 2017: [No family shared folder](https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8069251)
* 2018: [Photos - shared family album missing](https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8362660)
Devices used to set up family sharing
--
* Family member 1 (Organizer)
* iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 15.1
* iPad Air 4th Generation, iPadOS 15.0.2
* Family member 2 (Adult)
* iPhone 13, iOS 15.1
Attempted troubleshooting
--
* Powered off all devices and powered them back on again.
* Verified that all devices were signed in to the correct Apple ID accounts, and that other family members were visible under Settings -> Apple ID -> Family Sharing.
* Verified that Location Sharing for family members was able to be set up between these three devices and worked without any issues.
* Removed family member #2, removed family member #1 (effectively disbanding the family), and restarted Family Sharing from scratch. Re-invited family member 2, set up Location Sharing again, verified that the feature was still working in the Find My app. Still no change within the Calendar, Photos, and Reminders apps.

I don't own all of the devices but they are in a family share (so different Apple ID...). But I can ask them to turn on share options ...
If possible I want all the data in plain format, not some obscure format like Apple's device backups...

My 10-year-old son is set up as a family member with his own Apple account. His iPad, it's set to "Ask To Buy." So, when he wants to download an app from the App Store, I get a notification on my iPhone.
This works great for free apps... but for a paid app (or in-app purchase), after I approve it via the iPhone notification, it asks him to put in a credit card on his iPad.
For obvious reasons, I'm wary of putting my credit card info onto his iPad. But I do want to buy this app for him. I would have expected the "Ask To Buy" notification to go the next step and give me the option to purchase it on his behalf.
How do I do this? I feel like I'm missing something obvious here.
---
*I Googled around for an answer, but to no avail. Lots of info on sharing purchases. But not purchasing initiated on the child's device. If I'm just a bad Googler, point me in the right direction!*
