I’m working with a notation software and I would need to space certain graphical elements evenly within a predetermined space (e.g.: I set a 5cm space and I have 5 elements, they need to be precisely 1cm from each other), something that the software cannot do on its own (that is, without printing on paper, measuring, then moving the objects, then printing again and so on...).
The ideal solution would be to have a floating ruler on the screen or a superposed grid similar to millimetric paper that would still allow click-through (i.e.: interaction with the program below it).
Is there an app that provides this tool?
Thank you very much

The ping metric is the graph on the far right.
Does anyone know if something like this is available for OS X? I use it to ping my router and my DNS name server so that I always have a graphical indicator on my connection quality, and if there are problems I know if the source is inside or outside my router.
So far, the only "alternative" is the CLI

ping
command, which just doesn't present the information in as easily digestible format as Perfgraph.
I don't need all the other functions of Perfgraph, I just want that ping plotter!
Thanks all!

I have created a spreadsheet on numbers to track profit/loss of cryptocurrency investments. I have taken the data for the current value of the cryptocurrency using stock quote so it updates every few minutes. I have a total profit amount at the bottom of the spreadsheet that changes as the figures do. I’d like to create a line graph that shows the profit going up and down over time. I’m not sure how to make the x axis correspond to a date and how to link this with the profit, I don’t really want it to update every few minutes as the figures do but possibly once daily. Can anyone help please?

How to add colors for Charts in Numbers v6
Numbers 6.2.1 limits you to six colors for a Chart, which is a problem when creating a donut chart with more than six segments. Is there a way to add colors if needed? I've found this question being answered for earlier versions of Numbers, but it's unclear how to do it in v6.

In numbers or pages for ios, Is it possible to force a trend line to start at (0,0)?

I was wondering, if, in whatever the newest version of ios, numbers, and/or pages, it is possible to force a trendline through a point on a 2D scatter graph (e.g. the origin (0,0)). I was hoping to not have to buy excel just because one teacher wants this specific thing.
Edit: Here is a list of what my teacher requires me to do (its a college biology class):
1) Show numbers to 1-2 spaces past decimal point.
2) Adjust document page setup so all cells of a table appear on the same page.
3) Always plot the independent variable on the X-axis
4) Always plot the dependant variable on the Y-axis
5) Label both axes with the quantity being measured
6) Except where data is processed as a ratio, the numbers must be associated with specific units. Include on the graph axes or in table cells.
7) Number the axes appropriately at regular intervals
8) Show the equation for the trend line.
9) There must be a good title [insert long explanation here]
10) If there is more than a single data set plotted on a graph, distinguish between them via shapes or colours.
11) Adjust the scales of the X- and Y- axes so that:
a) All data points fit on the graph
b) Both axes are reasonably close to the same length.
c) You are using a reasonable portion of the overall page of graph paper.
12) a) For a standard curve, from which values will be extrapolated (**which I am doing in this case**), draw a best-fit straight line. In a linear graph the line is typically forced to go through the origin.
1
b) For graphs that aren't standard curves, if the points seem to line up in a straight line or if the relationship is known to be linear, dea a best-fit straight line (which may or may not go through the origin)
c)....(not applicable to my question)
d)....(not applicable to my question)
e) Smoothing curves for aesthetic reasons "MUST" be avoided.
f) Adding portions of lines on graphs for which there is no data must be avoided.

How to draw a mathematical graph on mac
I want to draw two plots 1. at x=1, y=3, at x=2, y=9 2. change the above plot so that y=exp(y), x is unchanged. I know this might seem silly to ask, but I do not have any experience to draw a mathematical plot. Is there any built-in app to do so? I'd be very appreciated for your help.

This one has been irking me for quite a while. I've made a few plots in a Pages graph (as well as their R^2 values). It is especially useful to move the equations around, especially when there are multiple plots on the same graph.
I have tried everything that comes to my mind, such as clicking multiple times or dragging in strange ways, but it seems as though I can not move the equations on the graph at all. They remain on the top left corner. When I try clicking on them and dragging, the graph is moved instead of the equations.
Is it possible to move these equations around? The only other way I'm seeing it copying and pasting these equations into textboxes, but that likely would be a huge headache in terms of layouts as well as updating the graphs' data (and thus their trend line equations).
[Here](https://streamable.com/u9lev) is a video of the issue I am describing.

Sorry if I am unclear. I will make amendments at the earliest opportunity if clarification is required.

I would like to be able to publish these charts to the web; I have heard of people using Excel for this, but I don't own Excel for Mac and I'm not sure if the same abilities are present in the Mac version of it

I want to transpose the X- and Y-axes on a chart in Numbers 3.1. How the heck can I do this?
The first chart I made was able to sum my columns up to 100 just fine:
However, when I try it with fewer columns/geographies, it transposes the selection:
Even when I transpose the cells, it still forces the data to display incorrectly and there is no option to swap the axes:
I'm so frustrated with this! How can I make it plot correctly? Thanks!

I had a headless Linux desktop that I used to poll my Time Machine and graph network statistics off of, but that computer is currently undergoing repairs, so I'm left with the remaining computers I have in the house, which are all Mac.
I have no specific requirements that I consider as a sticking point. My baseline of features would be something with the granularity that Cacti/RRDTool provide. Graphs with scalable units of time/history (configurable is a plus!), quick/easy to get started with little installation is preferable, something that perhaps just runs as a daemon/program and doesn't require a web server and detailed tailored configuration (read: discovery) would be just fine, and possibly even preferred.
