I've been having this issue for a while now and even the newest iOS didn't seem to solve it: The problem is that sometimes I just won't receive calls and/or messages. I figured it happens completely random, but **in most cases it happens when the screen is locked** - that means, even if I am passively using phone - listening to music and if the screen is locked, I'd sometimes get missed messages/calls - **It doesn't ring, I don't get any alerts until after I wake up my phone**. Then I get the notification of a missed call or that of a message that was delivered x minutes ago. - **'Do not disturb' is off**, I've also talked to people who couldn't reach me because of this problem and they said the phone was just ringing until the call was eventually dropped. - I've sent the list of missed calls to my carrier in case the problem might be on their side, but they've been unable to find anything out of the ordinary. So I guess the problem must be with the device itself or with the software. - Resetting network settings also doesn't seem to help at all. - Notification preferences in Settings → Notifications → Phone are all good. See comment under answer below: https://apple.stackexchange.com/a/379272/313842 I really like this phone, but if it doesn't serve it's main purpose, what can I do with it?

It seems that this is possible if you press Shift Tab twice, followed by Tab and then Space. (Essentially, it brings the focus to the "Switch User" button, and then pressing Space selects it. I am wondering if there is some less cumbersome keyboard shortcut to do the same thing? --- Alternatively, is there a keyboard shortcut to Fast User Switch when already logged in? (I have searched for this and only found older articles, suggesting the use of 3rd party software).

It seems Dock process is responsible for it on my intel MacBook Pro 2017 running macOS Catalina 10.15.4. Is there any way to prevent this issue from occurring?

I assumed there might be another function associated with this shortcut already, but I couldn't find anything that uses this shortcut in the keyboard shortcuts menu inside system preferences. The weird part is, this works on my old macbook (MacBook Pro 13-inch, intel i3, 2017) as well as on my office macbook (MacBook Pro 13-inch, intel i7, 2019) Am I missing something? --------- **Update:** I am not sure how relevant this is, but I was testing if the keys work properly, to begin with https://keyboardchecker.com/ I used the [delayed screencapture command](https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/120708/how-can-i-take-a-screenshot-while-holding-down-the-control-key#:~:text=Hold%20down%20the%20control%20key,Take%20a%20screenshot) to take screenshots while holding the keys down on the keyboard. I was able to see both the keys being detected individually: enter image description here However when I held ⌥ L it showed "Dead" enter image description here I am really not sure what this means, or if it's relevant to this issue, but I thought I would add this for anyone who might find this useful to help me with my question.

I bought my M1 MacBook Air a few months after they came out, so it's almost 3 years old. It gets *lots* of use. I don't leave it plugged into AC all the time Just yesterday I noticed the ⚠️ graphic overlay on the battery icon on the lockscreen. As soon as a log in, the battery icon goes back to normal. But every time the screen is locked the ⚠️ returns: lockscreen battery icon with If I go into Battery Settings it tells me battery health is normal: Battery Health: Normal If I click on the info icon I see that the maximum capacity is now down to 82%. Maximum Capacity So that seems normal I guess. Nothing telling me the battery is dying yet. So why the scary warning icon? One thing I see that might be it but I'm not sure, is if I do a hardware report, I see that the battery cycle count has just gone over 1,000. It's now at 1,002: Battery Cycle Count So is it standard to get this warning icon when you hit 1,000 cycles with no other clarifying info easily found in the system? I read on the internet about a "Service Battery Warning". Is that what this is? Why is that text not anywhere? Or am I somewhere in a grey zone in-between?

My iPad 6th gen running iPadOS 16.2 is **managed** by my organisation through Meraki (Cisco) (MDM). They have quite recently added a **Lock Screen Footnote** (at the very bottom of the Lock Screen) and I wanted to customize it. I know they added it for a reason and I don't mind it really much but it contains my full name and I would like to only put my first name (or my initials) While I was wandering in Settings in search of that parameter, I came upon the Shared Device Configuration Payload which contained the desired parameter. To get to there, I went Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > Profile > Meraki Management > More Details > Shared Device Configuration Payload > Lock Screen Footnote. ![following steps above (Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > Profile > Meraki Management > More Details > Shared Device Configuration Payload > Lock Screen Footnote) ]Referenced image But, I was not able to edit that footnote (quite comprehensible). I have prospected and fell upon this Apple Developers documentation page about the Lock Screen Message but it did not bring me far since it was only talking about the different available options for administrators to configure. I have also found this Apple Support article which stated that the Lock Screen Footnote was available for : > iPhone and iPad devices enrolled in a mobile device management (MDM) solution. Since this feature is available for iPad devices enrolled in a MDM solution as I am, is it possible for me (not admin) to modify that parameter without any help from my organisation?

I’ve attached a screenshot displaying this. If I change to a different wallpaper the problem is solved, however I like my current wallpaper, especially because it goes dark when dark mode is switched on. Unfortunately it seems to be an image which is not able to be selected in the new iOS so I can’t find it to set it again on a different home screen. Since this problem arose I updated my iOS again to iOS 16.4 but it didn’t solve the problem enter image description here

I'm on High Sierra 10.13.5. Following these steps to use my unblurred original wallpaper on the initial login screen of my Mac worked perfectly. Now I would like to do the same thing with the lock screen. While at work I have to lock the screen every time I step away from my desk. But I've never liked that my wallpaper is blurred while on the lock screen. I searched and searched but I couldn't find any instructions for getting rid of the blur effect on the lock screen, only for the *login screen*, which, as I've said, I've already done successfully. Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the blur effect from the lock screen wallpaper?
