Alternatives to Safari for RSS?
The 3rd party RSS Feed alternatives to Safari that *I've* found are cumbersome...in my opinion. Any simple, and good looking ones out there? (using [NetNewsWire][1] and it looks/feels bloated). Perhaps there's a Safari Extension? [1]: http://netnewswireapp.com

I'm trying to submit a podcast to Podcasts Connect and I get the error > Can’t parse your feed. With a status of >Failed Validation [This](http://superculpodcast.com/RSS) is my feed. I've used multiple rss validators (Here's the list) * [Podba.se](https://podba.se/validate/?url=http://superculpodcast.com/RSS) * [Castfeed validator](https://castfeedvalidator.com/?url=http://superculpodcast.com/RSS) * [W3C rss validator](https://validator.w3.org/feed/) Among others. Every validator says that my rss is good or has nothing bigger than a few warnings, but whenever the Apple validator at Podcasts Connect gives this error I mentioned saying it cant parse the feed, but not any further description. Any Idea of what could my problem be or where is my mistake? UPDATE: Just as a test I tried to submit it to Spotify and it didn't worked.

I have both a Mac (macOS Catalina) and an iPhone (iOS 13.5.1). When I find a podcast in the Apple Podcasts directory I'd like to be able to subscribe to that podcast in any RSS reader, which requires having the RSS URL. Since, not all "podcatchers" have complete/up-to-date directories, having the URL of the actual feed would make it easy to subscribe to any particular podcast. Given that having an RSS feed is a requirement for a podcast being listed in the Apple Podcasts directory, there must be some way to find the RSS URL.

I'm a Google user, have been for years. I've got a well established set of feeds in my Google Reader account. I am also a Google Plus user. I would like to have an easy workflow to go from reading things in Google Reader on the iPad to sharing them on Google Plus. I don't see that happening with the Google Mobile interfaces presented on the iPad, so I come to you, the apple community, to ask if you've got a workflow figured out. I am willing to entertain an alternate RSS reader than Google Reader. I would like to view my RSS feeds on the iPad, and when I see something interesting, share it to Google Plus circles. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I recently had an issue where [some RSS feeds were causing my IT department to think my MBP was infected by ransomware](https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/293603/identify-why-i-get-a-connection-to-ransomware-server) and was connecting to a ransomware server. Ransomware/malware can be 'caught' just by visiting a compromised website so one would like to think RSS readers, mine is Vienna , block the execution of all code in the pages they load. Is that so? [My discussion on Vienna's GitHub page](https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss/issues/975) was far less than satisfactory on the matter. So two things. The first is to bring this issue to people -- I had no idea my RSS reader could be a potential source of exposure to malware. RSS readers offer convenience, but apparently I need now to balance that convenience with the potential risks associated with malware. I believe not many people are thinking of this issue and they might benefit from being aware of it. Two, is there a way of sandboxing a RSS reader (ideally in the most complete way), so that it cannot be a source of malware? is disabling JavaScript and plugins in the RSS browser enough (not really clear what plugins the internal browser has to start with...)?

See this picture for how it looks now - there should be three tabs on the far left. enter image description here Any notions on what happened here? I assume there is a plist I can search through to at least see whether it just lost all my RSS feeds, that would be helpful, though if someone has a hack that would be better. (Yes, I have attempted to use other free RSS readers, but they don't integrate as well with ordinary web browsing as this by a long shot.)

I've been a user of NetNewsWire as my RSS reader for god knows how long... it must be over ten years. Alas when it changed hands the new developer removed my favourite feature - showing the unread articles in a hierarchical menu in the dock. That feature allows the user to very quickly scan the unreads, especially if you have your feeds arranged into many folders/topics. NetNewsWire's dock menu I have become addicted to this feature - so much so that I'm still using NNW version 3. I would like to move to a new RSS reader that will continue to be maintained and has sync features so that I can use an RSS reader on my iPad. However - the new application must have the dock menu feature. I cannot find such an app. Does anyone know if such an app exists? Thanks.

If I click an RSS feed in Safari on iOS 8, ie. from this page , the Podcast app is mysteriously opened, showing the feed as if it were a Podcast. The feed cannot be read however. I would expect the feed to open in Safari itself, since it has the same "Shared Links" section as Safari on OS X. But there seems to be no way to use this section for reading RSS feeds. I can't even delete the Podcast app either, as it seems to be an integrated part of iOS now. So how can I read RSS feeds using native iOS functionality (save from installing a third party RSS reader)?
