How do I make it so that the other person can't see an old text that I sent to them on imessage?

My phone number is published on the website of a project I run. However, it seems some young people have found it really funny to start prank calling me. It's very annoying and rather humiliating to have them get a laugh out of me at my expense. I would like to block them.
The conventional advice is to enable "Silence Unknown callers" in iOS 13. However, this will block not only Unknown Caller ID but also any number not in contacts. This doesn't work for me, because as a part of the project, strangers will contact me by calling which I do want.
Is there any way to *only* block private numbers/"No Caller ID" in iOS without also blocking people that are not in contacts? It doesn't seem like a hard problem since one can easily tell if it is a number or if it is unknown but I can't figure it out. I've tried the 000-000-0000 trick but it doesn't work.

I looked around quite a bit for an answer to this question but can't find one, so maybe I'm overlooking something obvious.
I recently starting paying my carrier for caller ID. This is great sometimes, but now when receiving calls only the caller ID name is displayed, not the caller's phone number. I can't find any setting to get the caller ID name to display along with the phone number before I answer an incoming call. This is especially difficult when the caller ID text is UNKNOWN CALLER or something similar since I can't tell if the number looks familiar before I answer.
All of this applies to receiving calls from people not in my contacts list.
Is there some way to make callers' phone numbers appear along with caller ID text when receiving incoming calls?
This is an iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 9.3.1 on T-Mobile (US) in case any of that is relevant.

* Headset on a 3.5 mm plug to my mac pro. (Do I need a splitter for mic and audio out?)
* Call display showing the number in an app, that I can cut and paste into a call log.
* Double click dialing.
I *think* I need a USB or internal card modem for this.

Is there anything we can do to get the iPhone's users to see the same Caller ID info when they call us?
We are located in Vietnam if that is relevant in any case.

I get about 20 robocalls a day, and I'm trying to figure out how to prevent unknown numbers from ringing my phone.
Some ideas:
- Have a silent ring and assign that to all non-contact callers. There is currently no way to mass assign a ring (to my knowledge), so this would be very labor intensive.
- Use a Google voice number and let it do all the redirects.
- Use Do Not Disturb but let text and notifications through from apps I want to use.
Has anyone found a good way to do dodge robocalls?

Is there any way to get it to go back to listing the number? There seems to be no option for this under Settings.

Does anybody know how an app like RoboKiller works to route and block incoming calls? My observation is that the RoboKiller service forwards my calls to a managed service which then filters the calls and sends them back to my phone.
I notice that the app adds itself to the "Call Blocking and Identification" extension in iOS. And, the app has the user dial out and turn on conditional call forwarding to what I presume is a RoboKiller phone number. By conditional call forwarding, I mean the app has me dial a phone number using
*71,xxx-xxx-xxxx
on Verizon service.
If it is only "conditional" forwarding, meaning the call has to go unanswered or the line has to be busy before it forwards, then how is the RoboKiller service forcing calls through their system before redirecting them back to me? Is the app able to block a call from *any* number using some feature in CallKit that I am overlooking?
My question is specific about how the call is getting routed through a 3rd party service for filtering and then sent back to me, especially when only "conditional" forwarding is used?

I read that one can block phone calls using a range of phone area code to block by adding them to a blacklist. I was wondering if you could do the opposite, block everything except phone numbers that you "whitelist" in an address range.
If iPhone does't allow it, then maybe it exists as a third party option?

My friend has an issue with her iPhone. For some reason, the phone app suddenly started to show the wrong caller name. After this she tried to logout/login into iCloud and then all callers in the call journal displayed as "00000000". In the Contacts app she can see the correct names with matching phone numbers. Sometimes, the call can have the name of one contact but photo of another one. Contacts are also sometimes shuffled for outgoing calls. Same problem with iMessage.
This is not a new phone, there have been no restores from backup recently, also there have been no new iOS devices connected to this Apple ID recently. She has been using the same phone company for a long time (Vodafone).
And these 00000000000 calls are not spam, it's a real people.
The phone was updated iOS 12.4.1 when she got this issue and it didn't help - she still had broken contacts.
Any ideas how to fix it?

All other Google Voice functionality seems to be handled just fine via the Google Voice "standard" app from Google.
I've jailbroken said phone searching for a way, with no success. GVIntegrated indeed reads "not certified on this device" and Phone GV Extension doesn't even come up in the search list on Cydia. Phone GV Extension worked well on my iPhone 4S running 5.x (and maybe 6.x), although my iPhone seemed to be a bit less stable (reboot/crashes) in jailbroken mode.

I have a contact called "do not answer". The contact is blocked
Inside the "do not answer" contact I keep a list of all the spam numbers that call me.
In iOS 12.0.1 I get calls saying
Incoming call from "do not answer"
. How is this possible? Doesn't the phone app see its showing the "do not answer" contact that should be blocked?
The only workaround I have found is to set my "do not answer" contact to have a silent ringtone without vibration but it still interrupts use of my phone
This has been ongoing since my iPhone 4s days

Is it possible with or without an additional app to dynamically disable my caller ID on an iPhone?
I would like to suppress my number for calls I make for my employer from my private device. These usually happen in specific hours during work days and go to numbers not found in my contacts. If possible I would like to transmit the number of my companyʼs call center instead. Currently, I switch off the feature manually each morning and on again in the afternoon, but I frequently forget to do one or the other, which annoys friends whom I call in the evening.
Since iOS 10 there is the
CallKit
framework available for app developers. If I read the API documentation correctly, there is no official way to influence the transmission of caller ID information, i.e. suppressing your outgoing phone number or spoofing it. (The respective answers in https://apple.stackexchange.com/q/23316/67264 apparently rely on paid third-party services.) The only way I see would be to transparently add codes like #31#
when placing a call.

I get about 5-6 calls daily (6:30am to 4pm-ish) from the whole state of Texas. My phone number is just one digit away from matching another number with the area code for Texas (which is 936, mine is 939 for PR).
The number leads to this automated system that I can't understand, and it’s asking me immediately for a pin every time I call. I Googled it, and the only thing that comes up is Montgomery County Adult Probation. It’s not spam calling me nor telemarketers, it’s real people, because sometimes I answer and either no one talks or they say: “sorry wrong number.”
What can I do? I’ve had my number for over 10 years, and I don’t want to change it. I know nobody in Texas, so I don’t want anyone calling me from there. Any app around or something? I don’t care if I have to pay a monthly fee.

Is there any way (even a brute-force workaround) to assign a unique ringtone to "No Caller ID"?
**Manually assigning a ringtone to all contacts and setting the default ringtone to something different is not an acceptable solution to the problem**, because both unknown callers and *No Caller ID* callers will use the default ringtone. I would like a ringtone that's unique specifically for *No Caller ID*. Thanks!

I've got a question, sometimes when the Caller ID is hidden, it will show up on my lock screen as "Anonymous". But recently, I've noticed something, there is a distinction between Anonymous and "Unknown", when missing a call.
Who can tell me what "unknown number" means, I suppose a caller either has the number hidden (anonymous) or shown (just the number that shows up, or a contact)? I also received a voicemail from the unknown number, which is just a 3 second message with a computer voice.
Who can clear this up for me?
