iOS7 iPhone: how to make Siri-initiated calls, SMS text msgs come from Google Voice caller ID?

When I ask Siri (iOS 7.0.4 on my iPhone 5S) to call or text someone, I want said call or text to come from my Google Voice caller ID. Any way to do this now that jailbreak apps GVIntegrated & Phone GV Extension appear to no longer be available (at least for my phone, details below)? All other Google Voice functionality seems to be handled just fine via the Google Voice "standard" app from Google. I've jailbroken said phone searching for a way, with no success. GVIntegrated indeed reads "not certified on this device" and Phone GV Extension doesn't even come up in the search list on Cydia. Phone GV Extension worked well on my iPhone 4S running 5.x (and maybe 6.x), although my iPhone seemed to be a bit less stable (reboot/crashes) in jailbroken mode.

I have iPhone 5 and Verizon service. I used to have Google Voice number but I haven't used it for 3 years and its no longer active. Couple of months ago I noticed a tone every time I dial a number to call out on my cell phone. My calls would then drop after couple of minutes in conversation with the person I was calling which is beyond annoying. Went to Verizon store, they changed my sim card, which did absolutely nothing. Yesterday finally after a tone, I got an automatic message that the "Google Voice is ready to connect my call". I deleted Google Voice app from my iPhone, and its still happening. I looked for settings all over the place and I have no idea how to deactivate this unwanted feature. Any thoughts?

I downloaded Google Voice on my iPhone and the app downloaded without error, but anytime I open it there is already a Gmail address displaying. To the close vote: I wish to be able to use Siri and say "Call Alice" and the call go via Google Voice. Or "Call Alice with Google Voice" would be good too. I did ask the local Apple Genius Bar. And since (as of 2017-11-01), Google Voice isn't a supported 3rd-party Siri integration, that doesn't work.

Hello fellow programmers! I would like to save some applescript code as an application, so that when I open the application it will go to Google Chrome and answer an incoming call in Google Voice. I will have my gmail account already open in the chrome browser, so all that is needed is for the applescript application to tell google chrome to activate, then click in a particular area (where the button will appear) to accept the call. How can I find out the coordinates of where I want the mouse to click? Because I am making a separate application to click elsewhere and end the call. Can anyone tell me how I would code this in applescript? or is there an easier way? The following code is similar to something I found, and it works, but i'm not sure where/if it is clicking... tell application "Safari" to activate tell application "System Events" tell process "Safari" click at {300, 100} -- {from left, from top} end tell end tell Thank you for your time, -Sebastian

Wi-Fi voice calling methods on a jailbroken iPhone?

I have a jailbroken iPhone 4S on AT&T in Cambridge, MA. My location has unreliable AT&T coverage, and I can't use Verizon or Sprint (too *much* coverage = pilot pollution ). It's got to the point where I can't even reliably initiate a call, and if I can, it'll get dropped within 10 minutes. AT&T has been no help. I get 2-3 bars on AT&T, so I can't use an AT&T MicroCell; those work best with *no* coverage, and they have handoff problems when you already have some reception. I would prefer to stay with my iPhone if at all possible. What are my least-painful alternatives for making and receiving voice calls? So far, I've tried: * Google Talk via [Talkatone](http://www.talkatone.com/) . This is a very brittle app; after a few hours of network configuration, I was able to receive and place some calls, but it often crashes back to SpringBoard and it often sends calls straight to voicemail. * Skype via the native iPhone app. Their app isn't a great replacement for Phone.app; I have to re-enter my password frequently, remember to launch Skype after a reboot, have no way to silence a call while it's ringing (even flipping the "mute" switch doesn't stop it!), have poor integration with the native phonebook, etc. * Skype + [AppFront](http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=18770) . This adds a "call with Skype" button to Phone.app, but requires extra pop-up dialogs, doesn't handle Skype being offline or needing a password, etc. I've looked at [Viber](http://www.viber.com/) but AFAICT this only uses WiFi when both parties have Viber. What are my other options? I'd be happy to go as far as running my own VOIP server if it'd give me reliable phone service via my iPhone.

As of April 2014 , Google Voice apparently broke the GrowlVoice 2.0.3 interface. Since then various fixes/patches/etc have arisen. I need a procedure to reliably (re)install a working variant on Mac OS 10.9.5--I don't (yet) want to upgrade to Yosemite. I have to reinstall every time I'm forced to reboot my laptop, and on the last reboot, all my past tricks (that I can remember at least, derived from these sources ) appear to be failing, with this result: "Sign in error: The operation couldn't be completed. (com.google.HTTPStatus error 404.)" I need a "from scratch," Mac OS 10.9.5 procedure to get Growl Voice working: 1. Remove all existing, conflicting files/artifacts. 2. Install http://www.growlvoice.com/trials/growlvoice-2.0.3.zip or some other canonical source of the App. 3. Fix/patch/whatever #2. 4. Preferably: make the above work through reboots. Since I'm having trouble on this latest (re)install, I need a full, autonomous procedure (to de-install *all pertinent and potentially-conflicting files*, install GrowlVoice, install patches, etc); most if not all the procedures here appear to be partials.

### Background I've been using Google Voice for about a year. During that time, I've been also using a Mac app called GrowlVoice that appears in my menubar. It allows listening to voicemail messages and also sending text messages. ### Error Now when I launch Google Voice I get an error: > Unable to sign in to myemailadress@gmail.com > Unable to build JSON object from JSON string" ### What I tried I deleted GrowlVoice's app using an CleanMyMac, an app that supposedly deletes apps and all their associated files. I then re-downloaded GrowlVoice from the App Store, but I'm still getting the error. ### Further Research I also went to the website of the GrowlVoice developer and sent him a message. I'm writing here too because the developer's site hasn't been updated since 2012 and GrowlVoice is no longer being sold on the App Store so it's apparently no longer in development. ### Questions So, my questions are: 1. How can I fix the JSON errors? 2. Is there another app that would have similar functionality as GrowlVoice? ### Update Apparently today Google made changes to Google Voice which broke GrowlVoice, which is why GrowlVoice was pulled from the Mac App store. Now I have to log into my Google account in a browser if I want to listen to voicemail messages or send texts on my Mac.

When connected via my car's (Scion xB) bluetooth connection it pauses the music that is currently playing, but no audio from the call is received, nor is the car's microphone being used. I'd love to hear your story on how you're using an iPad as a phone if you have one as well.

Thanks to [Brett Terpstra](http://brettterpstra.com/gvoice-command-line-sms-revisited/) I can easily send an SMS through Google Voice in Terminal, but now I want to be able to initiate a phone call via Termainal too. There is no Google Voice API (yet?) so I know there is no *official* way to do it, but I'm hoping that perhaps someone else has had this same issue and already found a solution. A proper solution would have to not only let me say which number I want to call, but *also* which number Google Voice should use to call me. *(For those unfamiliar with Google Voice, calls are initiated by your phone receiving an incoming call from Google's servers, and then you are connected to the number that you wanted to call.)* I took a look on Github, but the only potential solution I found was which hasn't been updated in 2 years, and I'm not sure how to use it.
