I installed windows 10 and everything was running smoothly until a day later when my earphones suddenly started emitting a high pitch noise whenever any sound was played at a constant level.
It is pretty much unusable unless I want tinnitus :( I'm not sure what the issue is, I’ve tried reinstalling the drivers but that hasn’t helped.
I have cirrus logic cs8409 (ab 51) drivers and when I switch drivers to generic or endpoint, I get no audio.

My wife and I each have identical (apart from the colour) bluetooth Technics earphones connected to our iPhones, renamed to our personal names.
Recently we’ve noticed that her bluetooth settings list an additional item which is an LE version of the headphones:
The additional item has no ⓘ beside it, and comes and goes with the connection to the earphones, so obviously it’s related.
This doesn’t happen with mine.
What is this additional bluetooth connection and where did it come from?

I'd like to capture video calls on my MacBook Pro, while I have my Bluetooth Earbuds connected. I use Zoom, Google Meet and Skype on different calls, so would like to use osX's native screen video capture capabilities. I can't seem to configure it in a way that captures both the video call audio and my microphone. Note I set settings/audio/input to the laptop's mic rather than the earhbuds' because it works better.
Searching online, it seems I should use either **Aggregate Device** or **Multi-Output Device** or both , but I'm not sure how to configure them correctly, especially as I can't install 3rd party drivers, as demonstrated in the video, because I'm using a work computer.
How do I perform this magic?

Is it ok to use different size tips in each ear on my AirPods Pro?

Now, they are stable in both ears. The ear tip fit test shows a good seal for both ears in this configuration. However, I'm concerned whether the difference in sizes can affect my ears because I listen to them for long periods daily and will probably do so for a few years at least.

I have a Bose QC35 model 1 which I quite like and use with two iPhones, an iPad, two MacBooks, Apple TV. Also have home pod around.
Problem is that it seems to keep probing different devices all the time, perhaps to auto connect to the correct one. But while doing this is emits a noise irritating beep sound. This is getting to a point where I have to stop using the headphone.
I tried to use AirPods Pro for a while and looks like there is no such a thing with them.
I'm wondering what's going on? Is this a problem with Bose headphones? Any non Apple headphones present this issue? What about AirPods max?

The earphones I have support Bluetooth 4.1 and as a result, audio quality through them during phone calls is pretty sub-standard. This is because the Bluetooth 4.1 standard cannot accommodate both output and input audio through the limited bandwidth. As a result, iPhones default to a lower quality codec during phone calls while using Bluetooth 4.1 earphones. But otherwise while listening to music the audio quality is very good.
Is it possible to route the output through my Bluetooth earphones while simultaneously routing input audio through the in-built microphone during a phone call on iOS 14? If it helps, I have a pair of JBL Tune 205BT. Is there any other way to enjoy high quality audio during phone calls on these earphones?

Do the old Apple Earpods , i.e. those with 3.5mm plugs, have cables and plugs capable of providing balanced audio?
By balanced audio, I mean, audio transmitted in the form of "two copies of the same incoming audio signal, sometimes referred to as a hot (positive) and cold (negative) signal" providing "common-mode rejection" for noise. (See "Balanced Vs. Unbalanced Audio: What's The Difference? " for more details on balanced vs unbalanced audio.)

I have a macbook pro with MacOS Catalina, and a pair of Xiaomi Mi Air 2 SE earphones.
I don't have problems to pair them, and I can listen it well.
But the problem is with the autoconnect. When I open the lid of the earphones case, The earphones appear "connected" in the bluetooth devices panel, but they didn't appear in the sound devices list (like they are not connected).
After 5 seconds, the earphones appear "disconnected" again in the bluetooth devices list, and now I can select them, click "connect", and then they work fine.
I would like to just open them and have them connected automatically, like is supposed to work.
I don't think is a earphones problem, because they work fine in an android device, with autoconnect. (I have unpaired them from the phone before trying in the macbook, is the only device that they are paired, so the problem is not that they pair with another device)
Thank you!

On iOS, mute/unmute in Zoom/WebEx is the behavior of the lightning earpods when the remote button is clicked - I'd love to be able have this behavior on the desktop as well.
It looks like you could code something up in ControllerMate on previous versions of macOS, but alas, no more. Are there any other viable options out there to get configure this behavior?

Based on the system report, my current bluetooth is 4.0 (0x6).
The earbuds are Samsung Galaxy Buds+
They work nicely on my iPhone X.

Enable ear detection to pause music when using AirPods Pro on a MacBook Pro
Is it possible to enable the "ear detection" function to play/pause the music when one of the AirPods Pro is removed? I know that this can be done with an iPhone, but is this valid also when using the AirPods Pro on a MacBook Pro? I am not currently able to do so.

When I'm playing music in Spotify or any app with Apple earphones or auxiliary cable in my car, I can't turn music up to full volume. It goes as far as yellow indicator and 'High Volume' but won't go into the red. I wanna go up to 11 baby! Strange thing is it used to work a month ago, it used to go to the red. I didn't upgrade iOS or anything, I'm on jailbroken 8.1.1. I also have volume limit turned off in Music settings. I checked the earphone jack for lint and it seems clean.
I've Googled for days here and at a loss. Unless I'm using the Googles wrong, it seems I'm in the minority with this problem.

I'd like to buy an extension cable, but I'm unsure what kind of cable I need to buy that will maintain all of the EarPods' features, specifically:
- Audio
- Microphone
- Remote controls (volume controls, playback controls, answer/end calls, Siri, etc.)
I'm assuming a basic extension cable like this won't work, since my EarPods have three rings on the plug and this extension cable only has two:
Will any extension cable with three rings work? For example:
