Interestingly, if we install Windows on Boot Camp we can, from macOS Parallels, run that Windows as a VM. Now to the question: we generally say a VM will be a little bit slower than Windows running directly on hardware. What about a VM from the Boot Camp partition vs. a VM on a macOS partition? Which one is supposed to be faster?

Move entire Notes.app database from iPhone to Windows PC?
I'd like to move the entire Notes.app database (all the notes, all the folders, all the file attachments inside the notes) from iPhone to Windows PC? I've scanned a lot of documents with my iPhone's Notes.app, and I want to back them up (and view them on my PC should the need arise).

Thanks! EDIT: I tried restoring "com.apple.finder.plist" from /Users/[User]/Library/Preferences but it doesn't work. I don't think the system is letting me do this properly while Finder is running. Is there a way to keep it killed while I swap the file? Or how could I do this from recovery? Does this file even store the open folders?

DFS server has a share with namespace //mydomain.com/Datashare, which points to a TestData folder inside the machine. TestData has a few files 1.txt, 2.txt. When I access my DFS share on a Windows machine it mounts the share and shows the folder TestData with files 1.txt and 2.txt. When I access the same share on my Mac machine it mounts the share and displays the TestData folder. however, it does not show any files inside this folder. Someone discussed a solution of setting the same search domain on a Mac machine as AD sets on Windows but that solution does not work for me.

I have a MacBook Pro Mid-2009. Unfortunately, I erased my internal drive which led me to OS X Utilities only. When I clicked on *reinstall OS X*, it asked me to sign into my Apple ID. But, it ended with a popup saying, *This item is temporarily unavailable.* So I tried installing Windows 7 on that dead MacBook. I created a bootable USB, plugged it, pressed the power button while holding ⌥ Option key, selected my bootable USB (EFI Boot). After that, I saw an installation screen of Windows 7. All the processes went well. I selected my internal Drive to install Windows. At last, I saw a popup, *Restarts in 10 seconds*. But after the restart my MacBook turned on with a blank white screen. Can anyone please help me to get rid of this problem?

I finally got Bootcamp working on my Mac so I could play Windows Steam games on it. The only problem is that I don’t have enough storage on Bootcamp to download games from Steam and I ran out of space on my Mac to put more space on Bootcamp. I bought a 64 GB SD card to fix this, but I can’t figure out how to actually store the SD card storage on my Mac. I converted the SD card to an external drive but that still didn’t solve it because I can only partition the SD card and I can’t add it to my Mac’s storage. I also can’t add the external drive to my Bootcamp storage, and whenever I try to use it on Bootcamp (like installing Steam on it or installing Steam games), it won’t work. Is there any way to just add the external drive to my main Mac storage or to the Bootcamp storage?

I have problems with a windows game on Bootcamp that used to work fine, and now doesn't. So I tried making a bootable bootcamp on a USB. Bootcamp runs on the USB but I would say it doesn't run as well as on my mac's internal HDD. Windows tend to not respond a lot. Also, the 32bit windows game on the USB crashes from memory errors even though I use LargeAddressAware. The game does not crash on my original bootcamp and I can get the game to use over 2GB RAM and it doesn't crash. I think maybe getting my original bootcamp setup on the flash drive might fix my issue. I also want to use this USB to be able to test doing things without it messing up my original bootcamp. I have read that bootcamp can have problems from USB and it's better to clone your existing bootcamp to the USB. Using WintoUSB seems like a great option, but I have Windows 10 Pro, and you can't use WintoUSB with Windows 10 Pro. I have also read that you can create a .CDR image using Disk Utility and then convert it to an .iso; then I guess I can use Rufus maybe to burn it to the usb. But the problem is, the BOOTCAMP uses 100GB but is a 230GB partition. I have more than 100GB available on my mac, but not 230GB and it told me there's not enough space. Also, everything I try takes so long, so I want to know what will work because I'm getting nowhere when trying things myself. Can anyone suggest an easy way to clone BOOTCAMP (with Windows 10 Pro) to a USB? I have access to both Mac and Windows to do this from. Ideally I want it to clone directly so I don't have to store the 100GB or 230GB somewhere other than the USB drive.

I am attempting to use Windows 7 for overall looks. (I am aware of the risks and I don‘t care.) However, whenever I attempt to boot into the partition that I installed it on, The following occurs. 1. The screen goes black. 2. Next, the top of the screen creates this strange loading flickering effect. 3. Finally, it stops and reverts to a black screen. I have Open Core installed and that didn't change the boot process. Even without it the same results occur. I have used Windows 7 with and without UEFI booting. I suspect something is wrong with the recovery drive. If someone can, please respond, because I haven't seen anyone else experience this. The strangest part is that Windows 7 used to work and stopped after I uninstalled it once. I am able to start the process to create the bootable USB drive but every time the progress bar stops midway and says that there is not enough space on my USB drive. The USB is 123GB and completely cleared. The Windows 10 ISO is around 6GB. I have also tried reformatting it to FAT32 and exFAT, with no luck. I have also disabled Time Machine and automatic backups. Does anyone know a fix to this or should I just install Windows 10 via DVD?
