I have an Apple Watch but I don't have an IPhone or Mac. I want to use my Windows 10 PC, or my android phone with the Apple Watch. How do I do this? (Maybe using an Iphone emulator on PC? There must be some way to use the apple watch with Android, or Windows)

More than a year ago I transferred all my data from an android to an IPhone 14 but recently I got an IPhone 15 pro and upgraded it to IOS 18 and I went back to my old recordings from android and I indeed can play them on my voice memos app but I cannot send then anywhere because apparently they do not exist, when I try to send them through IMessage, it takes me to the conversation but there is nothing attached, same with email, nothing attached, same with notes, I click share but the note is empty , when I tried to send it through telegram the share page disappeared as if it has shared but it did not, nothing was shared, when I tried through WhatsApp then it shows my a black screen, as if like a black photo trying to be sent but I cannot even send it because nothing happens when I click the WhatsApp share button, I tried saving it to files and the page of sharing disappears but it saves nothing, when trying to airdrop, it doesn’t even show the file trying to be shared, it just says failed or says waiting for eternity and lastly when I tried to copy the link it doesn’t paste anything because it didn’t copy anything since the file apparently doesn’t exist so it seems like the recording is on my phone but the file literally do not exist and I’ve searched for an answer but no one ever talked about something like this so I wonder if there is literally anything I can do because I think I have tried everything like duplicating it etc. Like please help me out if that’s possible, thanks

I have a MacBook Pro Retina 2012 running Mojave. I was using USB ethernet on my Mac and sharing that as a WiFi to my android phone. All was stable. Last week I had a partition error while I was resizing the disk and OS had crashed. I had to reinstall Mojave. Now I’m trying to use the same setup. MacBook is getting internet from USB ethernet fine. I then shared the ethernet into my WiFi like last time for my Android. The Android connects to the WiFi but this time keeps saying no Internet. Mac can connect to WiFi, but cannot share internet through it. (I would guess the NAT server is not working or something like it) I don't know how to diagnose the problem and fix it. Please suggest.

I cant get texts on my Android phone from messages on my Macbook, but only from a few people. Coincidentally its people I've had facetime conversations with. It seems that the Mac has said to itself "these two people communicated in the Apple universe, lets keep it that way". Are there settings I need to change? I can send a text from my phone and they receive it, but when they respond it comes to my Messages app on my Macbook and not my phone.

Both my iMac and MacBook pro no longer let me send messages from the messages app. It worked like a charm before and now I'm not allowed to. There's no "message forwarding" option anymore in messages, so what in the heck do I do? Help!

My wife just got a brand new iPhone. I am just wondering, how do I transfer WhatsApp chat history from Google Drive to iCloud or directly to the iPhone. I have backed up everything to Google Drive. Just need to know how to get it on to the iPhone. I googled a bit and there are some tools out there. But all of them are Mac or Windows software. All my laptops at home are Linux (Ubuntu, Arch, Suse and Mint).

On Android, I can choose to attach a "document" and then browse the image or video files and select the one I need. On iPhone, it seems to work the same way except that I don't seem to see the full file system of the device, and I cannot browse to the image location. Is there a way, without using a Mac? As a side note, Telegram is happy to allow attaching a file from the Gallery.

I want to run a few Android applications on my Mac computer somehow. However, I cannot find a way to. Things I tried: - BlueStacks, doesn't run on Apple Silicon. - Andy, but the download page returns an 404 error. - BluestacksX, but this only works with pre-installed apps. I also looked in the App Store but didn't find anything there. So which options do I have to run Android apps on Apple Silicon?

I'm on a 2021 MacBook Pro with Sequoia 15.3.2 and some of my settings (DNS, Firewall) are set with a profile by the company I work for. Sometimes I share this MacBook to a user for which I've created a standard (non-admin) account and has Android Studio with Android emulator. I noticed that it is possible to start android emulator from the command line and set another DNS by adding -dns-server parameter. I would like to prevent the use of another DNS in Android emulator and possibly in other apps. I can't uninstall Android Studio as it is needed. How could I do that, independently of the network the user is connected to (I can force something on Wifi network but not with 4G/5G hotpoint) ? I first thought of hosts file, but I think it only allows to block by host name and not by IP. I don't have access to Firewall and DNS settings as it is handled by the company. Then I thought of pfctl but I don't know exactly how to configure it, I made a quick try but didn't succeed I added those lines in pfctl conf and restarted it :

block drop proto tcp from any to 8.8.8.8 port 53
block drop proto udp from any to 8.8.8.8 port 53

Then I launched Android emulator with -dns-server 8.8.8.8 option, but this DNS server was still accessible. Maybe I should add port 853 in my conf too ? Can you please advise me on how I could do that ?

On my previous Android (OnePlus) phone, my Mac's right-click menu would include "paste from ONEPLUS..." which was very handy. However, I have no recollection how I set this up - it just seemed to work. My newer Android phone is not presenting this option; are there any settings in macOS pertinent to this to allow clipboard sharing with other devices?

Multiple times per day. ADB suddenly stops responding. Every adb shell command never finishes or produces any output. IntelliJ and Android Studio do not recognise my phone(s) anymore. The solution is simple. Use killall adb But I have to do this about 20 times a day and it starts to get annoying. Any idea how to fix this? New M2 Macbook Pro, 3 weeks old. I have an old Galaxy S20 with an eSIM from T-Mobile for a secondary phone that I used to use. Some time ago I bought an iPhone 15 Pro and I have my main eSIM on it. Is it possible to transfer the eSIM from the Galaxy S20 to my iPhone and have dual SIMs on the iPhone?

Is there any way to start the process of migrating from Android to iPhone using the iOS app (com.apple.movetoios) from scratch, after I made a mistake during a previous attempt? The process of moving from Android to Apple is strange, poorly documented and time-consuming. I made a mistake during the step where on the Android device, using the iOS app, I had to select many rows of data to transfer. I did not see that I had to scroll for more rows, I was excited that after many attempts Apple finally presented the 'transfer screen' and I wanted to move on before any of the 3 devices necessary during the process went back to sleep or ran out of power. As a result, only part of the personal data from Android was transferred to the iPhone. I wiped to iPhone yet again, to try and fix it, but now Apple installed the iPhone with the partial data that was already tied to the iCloud account. The problem is, I used a real name to create the iCloud account and it's my child's account. If I make a new iCloud account it will always be the Childsname Lastname_1 account. (but maybe that is the price to pay)

I use [1keyboard](https://itunes.apple.com/app/1keyboard/id766939888) via Bluetooth to share keyboard with my Android phones, but this is less productive than [Logitech's Flow](https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/options/page/flow-multi-device-control) where I can switch between devices much faster and more seamlessly. Is there an app that can help me sharing keyboard and mouse with Android phones?

What's up with Android File Transfer? Went to the download site but couldn't find the link. I saw on the forums it's not supported anymore. What are some other ways I can transfer files from my phone to my Mac? Any apps you recommend instead?

Since I switched from my MBP i9 (intel) to MBP M2 Pro (Apple silicon), I could no longer use Android File Transfer app to transfer files from any Android phone to my computer. It always shows the message **Could not connect to device**. I've tried to restart both, change cables, porta, even with another Android phone. On the new macbook, it simply doesn't work. **Everytime I need to transfer files, I need to use the old MBP. It works with the same phone, cable, etc, with no additional effort.** I tried with an Android Pixel 2XL (running Android 11) and a newer Samsung Galaxy.

I have a Macbook Pro which I am trying to attach an Android device via USB (the Macbook recognizes my iPhone 6S just fine via USB). The Android device is a Samsung Note 3, and I expected when I plugged it into the Mac it would show up in the Devices section of Finder. It does not. I tried a coworkers Android device, and the Mac was not able to see that either. Both Android devices were getting power from the connection. But I am not seeing them in Finder. I use my android phone as a hotspot on my commute, but I often forget to turn it off when I get to work/home. This is expensive. I want my laptop to auto-switch to my work/home WIFI when I get to my destination. The problem _may_ be that my hotspot shows up as a regular wifi connection on my mac, not as a personal hotspot. (I don't know.) My searching shows that older versions of macOS allowed me to drag-and-drop the network preferences; but it seems that now it uses a scoring system (Source: Apple Support, 2023) Is there a way I can do this? I haven't found answers to these online: - Can I mark my wifi as a personal hotspot, and will that fix it? - Can I code up a script to affect the scoring of my preferred devices? - Can I code up a script to detect the available wifis and disconnect from my andoid's wifi? - Something else??? #### Other notes It is work laptop; ability to run certain software is limited by company policy, but I do have root access.
