How can I configure my iPhone so that it rings if my Apple AirTag gets less than 1 kilometer away from my phone?
I've linked an Apple AirTag with my iPhone (i.e., I see the AirTag in the "Find My" app). The AirTag is currently in some bag far away, but it will get back to my place soon. How can I configure my phone so that it rings if the AirTag gets less than 1 kilometer away from my phone?

I have a few AirTags. They show up fine on my iPhone and iPad but on my MacBook Pro M2 they say "No location found". I have an older Intel MacBook Pro and they show up fine there. Same account on all of the devices. Only account actually. So I'm wondering if maybe I can reset the data or cache on the "Find My" app on OS X, is that possible? Edit: I created a new user on my Mac, logged into the same icloud and it has no issues. I went back to my normal account and it can now find airtags near it but it can't find airtags that are somewhere else while my iPad sitting next to me can do it just fine and the other user account on my Mac can also do it. Edit: I've spent hours on the phone and chat with Apple support and they don't really know what the issue is. Any other suggestions?

The tag is now showing in my "Find My" app as supposed to under "Items". Anyhow, when opening the "Find My" app on my MacBook pro, I don't get the AirTag, or any other items in the "items" list. * MacBook Pro is from 2017, it runs Monterey 12.3.1 * iPad Pro is a model "MLQ62FD/A" running iOS 15.2.1 * Both devices are logged in with the same AppleID * Location sharing in the settings is set to "on" on both devices * "Find My" is "on" on both devices in iCloud settings Specifically on my MacBook Pro: * In "System Preferences" -> "Security & Privacy" -> "Location Services", "Find My" is enabled * In "System Preferences" -> "Apple ID" -> "iCloud", "Find My" in enabled enter image description here enter image description here How do I fix this so that the AirTag is showing up in the Find My app on my MacBook pro?

I have followed [the instructions here](https://support.apple.com/guide/findmy-mac/set-up-fmm53101237/mac) to turn on "Find My Mac", but it doesn't work. I have a Macbook Pro 14 inch 2021, with MacOS 12.4 Moneterey installed. I alread had location services turned on, and then specifically enabled it for "Find My". Now, when I go into Apple ID -> iCloud, and try to turn on "Find My Mac", I get a popup asking if I want to allow find my mac, and then for a second it says "Settin up..." ... and then nothing. See this GIF. gif of enabling Find my mac failing It looks like [someone else has had this exact problem](https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253198831) , so I tried the various things in that post. Namely: * I rebooted and tried again * I booted in Safe Mode and tried, but got the same behavior * I deleted various *.plist files, rebooted, and tried again All without success. I should note that I also have looked on my other devices and they definitely can't see this Mac on the "Find My" app. So this is a real failure and not just a UI quirk. (**Aside:** Is there a command line command or tool to enable these settings? I ask because, completely unrelated to this issue and on my work computer, I was able to fix an issue where I couldn't enable screen sharing with Google Meets by running a command line tool.... but that tool was only for Accessibility options.) Anyway, I know this is a long shot but hopefully someone is out there who eventually sees this and can answer. I'm going to try to call Apple Support tomorrow and try my luck with them. If I find a solution I'll be back to enlighten y'all.

Is there a way to predictably disable an AirTag for a specific set time (her school hours), and then re-activate it when she leaves school? Doing it manually is fine too, as long as it doesn't require physically tinkering wit the AirTag.

I lost my iPad mini (current model, 5th generation, running iOS 14 beta), the model that is equipped only for WiFi. This is the model of iPad mini *without* any cell phone hardware. When I checked now using *Find My* on my iPhone, Apple reports contact with the iPad only a half-hour ago, showing a current location on the other side of the city. But I've not been on that side of the city for hours. Where I lost the iPad, there are no WiFi networks that I have ever given permission for the lost iPad to join. ➥ So how can Apple's server's be reporting contact with a Wifi-only iPad with no previously-joined WiFi network available? I understand that a WiFi-only iPad can *determine* its location by scanning for nearby WiFi routers. But how does a WiFi-only iPad *communicate* that location back to me via Apple if the iPad has no authorized WiFi network connection?

Is it possible for AirPods to think on their think that they are "lost" and start tracking its location even if the owner hasn't triggered a "Find My" search? Someone I was hanging out with recently was notified that their phone/location was being tracked by an "item." This alert popped up while we were together. After an hour of searching, we found that my AirPods were the culprit. But what's interesting is that I never triggered a search for them, so I am curious as to why it started tracking that person's device. I never received a notification or alert that the AirPods were missing or were monitoring someone. Apple's documentation is not helpful regarding this matter. Has this happened to anyone, or has an understanding of why this would happen?

I have a few AirTags. They show up fine on my iPhone and iPad but on my MacBook Pro M2 they say the old location of the last time they were near my MacBook Pro, even though an iPad sitting next to it will show their current location. I spent a few hours on the phone and chat with Apple support and as one of the steps to try they had me create a new OS X user account on the Macbook Pro and log into the same iCloud account and that new account works fine. Apple support was never able to fix the issue, they went as far as to tell me the only way to find AirTags is to be close to them, which I know is wrong. So what would cause Find My to not be able to find AirTags location when they aren't near? Shouldn't that information just be coming from iCloud? And why is it happening only on one OS X account? Also, the other tabs of Find My work fine, it can get the location of any other device I have without issues regardless of where they are. I'm on Ventura 13.3.1

When I select that device in my Find My, I have the option to erase it or mark as lost. I do not see any option to remove it from my account though. If I right click on the device in the list as some suggest, I also do not see the Remove option enter image description here The Apple support page was not helpful. How can I remove it? **UPDATE** I noticed that when the device is offline, I do have the option to remove it.
