Apple Magic Trackpad issue: occasionally it interprets one-finger click as two-finger ("right") click

I wanted to see if my technical hiccup was experienced by others, as well as any obvious fix I am missing.
Perhaps 5-10 times per day, my external, bluetooth, apple magic trackpad will interpret a regular click as a two-finger click (ie a right-click.) I believe it is only when I click via the full "press down" method, it does not happen during a mere light-touch-to-click.
So you are using your trackpad, and you go to it to drag something, for instance, but you then find the darn contextual menu popping up on the thing instead! Agh!
I am guessing I may take it in for a regular exchange (ugh, it was bought on USA apple store online and I am in thailand now) ... but thought I would see how wide-spread or solvable it is.

MBP 15" user - 95% of my input to it is via the trackpad, I LOVE the 3-finger swipe navigation.
Saying "Swipe left/right/up/down" implies the end result of the movement, not the actual direction of my fingers. Swiping right means go to the window right of my current window. Swiping down displays all your windows/desktop background. Swiping up does nothing.
Really all I want, is to be able to **swipe up to Spotify from any window** or have a second set of windows on a level above the current, 1-dimensional horizontal window set.
Made a simple mockup as to what I am describing.
Is there already an app that allows things to work in this manner?

Is it possible to enable support for a Magic Trackpad (USB C) on an older MacBook Pro (2017) running macOS 12?
I have a 2017 MacBook Pro (macOS 12) and purchased a new Magic Trackpad (can't find the old one), but it doesn't pair or work. I then realized that the minimum OS for the USB C version is macOS 15. Is there any hack or workaround I can do to add support to this outdated OS?

I just got a new work laptop. I would like to seamlessly switch my bluetooth devices (headphones, magic keyboard, touchpad) between work / personal Macs without complex repairing.
Has anyone solved this problem?
Ideally, I would love it if my bluetooth devices just paired with the computer docked into my dongle that connects to my monitor / power. Like if there was some kind of USB bluetooth controller that exposed my bluetooth devices as USB devices to whatever was connected to it, that would be awesome. But I haven’t found anything like that. I’m curious if people have different solutions?
It would also be ideal if this could be used for other bluetooth devices, ie seamlessly switch headphones...

The past week I upgraded from macOS 11 Big Sur to macOS 12.3 Monterey. My Magic Trackpad 2, which connects via Bluetooth, lags. If I simply move my finger, it takes a short time before the mouse movement starts onscreen. The same for a swipe for Spaces: I'd swipe, and only the second half of the swipe gesture was responded to. If I tap, I have to press, even though Tap to Click is turned on. Some experimentation showed that if I rested my finger on the trackpad for half a second, movement was then immediate, so it seems the trackpad is taking some time to realise my hand is present and then respond.
I have tried connecting it via USB; restarting my Mac; and ensuring its battery is fully charged. But it's still lagging. How do I solve this?

I have to work with both Windows 10 and MacOS (Big Sur) daily. I have the "Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key" option enabled in Windows. This option is extremely helpful when locating the mouse cursor since it doesn't necessitate having to move the mouse; simply tapping the CTRL key causes radiating circles to briefly appear around the cursor.
I've been unsuccessful in finding a similar feature for MacOS. https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/189006/mouse-pointer-locator and
https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/331645/is-there-a-way-to-temporarily-enlarge-the-mouse-pointer-like-apples-shake-to-f represent similar requests; the recommended solutions, however, don't seem to provide the feature I describe.
MacOS's built-in 'Shake mouse pointer to locate' (and the Magic Trackpad equivalent) is too disruptive. And many of the suggested apps require toggling into a mode to make the mouse cursor look differently and then toggling out of that mode to return the cursor to the original appearance; again, that's too disruptive. I simply want to press a hotkey to temporarily show the location of the mouse pointer (without having to move the mouse).
Hoping someone can relate ... and can offer a solution. Thanks!

I have tested Karabiner-Multitouch-Extension but sadly it does not work yet.
This is a life saver for me because I have multiple sclerosis disease and need to be able to use an external keyboard and external apple trackpad in the middle. (No mouse is possible to use).
What options exist for the current hardware and OS for this accessibility issue?

Prior to Mavericks, one could reverse the direction of a Magic Trackpad, using the following
defaults
commands, and magic five-finger gesture to reorient.
defaults write com.apple.trackpad.orientation TrackpadOrientationMode 1
sudo defaults write com.apple.MultitouchSupport ForceAutoOrientation YES
You can find more information here and here . Unfortunately, this doesn't appear to work in Mavericks. Does anybody know a modern incantation to bring back the old magic?
NOTE: this is not the same as reversing the scroll direction. It completely reverses all input and gestures on trackpad.

UPDATE: I got it to work. Ray Shan's "reboot the trackpad" might be part of the magic. Also, five fingers + hard click seems to be crucial to activate.

I have a Early 2011 Macbook Pro 13" running OS X 10.10.1 (Yosemite).
At work, I have a Apple Magic Trackpad and an Apple Wireless Keyboard , both which use Bluetooth. When I get to work, my Mac automatically connects to both of them (if Bluetooth is on).
At home, I have a Belkin F8Z492-P Bluetooth Audio Adapter hooked up to my stereo (sorry, no product page available). If Bluetooth is on, my audio will automatically be routed to the Bluetooth adapter (which is something I rarely want).
How can I make OS X automatically connect to my trackpad and keyboard at work but not automatically connect to the bluetooth audio adapter at home?
Currently, I shut Bluetooth off when I get home, but I'd like to avoid toggling Bluetooth when I get home/when I get to work, since it is quite annoying to start typing on the wireless keyboard and have nothing happen, or not have audio when I get home.
If this is not possible, can I prevent OS X from switching my audio automatically when connecting to the Bluetooth audio adapter?

I am using a **Magic Trackpad 2**. I do a lot of design, so I have to drag and move items several hours a day. I click with my right thumb near the bottom of the Trackpad, and I drag with my index finger. The trackpad is very close to the laptop, less than 8 inches away on the same table as the laptop, the battery is fully charged every day.
But the trackpad doesn't behave in a consistent way. Sometimes, when I want to click an object and drag it, the trackpad thinks I am scaling in or out, and scales the view on my page. So I have to undo the last action, and try again.
Other times, I click on an object and try to drag it, but nothing happens, my index finger just swipes the trackpad without anything moving on the screen.
And other times, the trackpad doesn't click when I press down on it, no matter how hard I press down.
I have been using trackpads for 20 years and it's the first time I find one so approximative and unreliable.
I am extremely annoyed and disappointed by this erratic behavior - I think it was ***much*** easier back when trackpads had a clickable bar, and a non-clickable dragging area. It makes me lose time and confuses me several dozen times a day.
**Are there ways to make sure the trackpad understands what I am trying to do without getting confused?**

Disable Bluetooth on Apple keyboards and trackpad

I have read that polling rate of the new Magic Trackpad is 90 Hz.
I want to buy 144Hz external monitor.
Will there be a noticeable delay on the screen? How do people with 144 monitors deal with delay if there is any?
They just getting used to the uncomfortable work or to get rid of delay they manually lower the display refresh rate of external monitor to 90Hz in the settings?

I have a Magic Trackpad that I'm using with my iMac.
Everything works great, but I would also like to use the trackpad with my MacBook.
For some reason, it seems that I can only pair the trackpad with one computer at a time.
With the iMac *turned off*, I turned on the MacBook and went to set up a new Bluetooth device. The trackpad was not found.
I know that nothing is wrong with my connection procedure (I pressed the power button, it was within range, etc), and that nothing is wrong with the trackpad itself (it works fine with the iMac).
I finally got the trackpad to pair with the MacBook by unpairing it with the iMac, turning the iMac off, and power cycling the trackpad.
Then, when I went to re-pair with the iMac, the device was not found (the MacBook was completely off; it was not connected to anything). Only by unpairing with the MacBook and power cycling was I able to re-pair with the iMac.
So, I think the trackpad is trying to tell me that it can only be paired with one computer at a time.
I would like to pair the trackpad with both my iMac and my MacBook not for simultaneous use, but for using with one when the other is turned off or far away.
I have other Bluetooth devices that let me do this just fine, and I can't think of a reason why it would be different for the trackpad.
**How can I pair my Magic Trackpad with both my iMac and MacBook for non-simultaneous use?**
Ideally without any third-party software.

I am trying to simulate a three-finger (four-finger if the three-finger drag is enabled) trackpad swipe gesture using either Hammerspoon or Karabiner-Elements on macOS. The goal is to simulate the fingers down using one of mouse additional buttons (btn4/5) and drag the mouse for completing the action (move between spaces/open mission control).
I have explored both Hammerspoon and Karabiner-Elements, but I'm unsure how to achieve this specific functionality.
I would like to know if there is a way to simulate the trackpad gesture of a four-finger swipe using either of these tools ora combination of them. I'm open to alternative suggestions or approaches that can help me achieve it.
Thank you in advance for the help!
