I've restarted my iPhone, inserted my security code and then when the numpad appeared to insert my SIM pin code, I pressed the home button and now I can't trigger that numpad again to insert my pin code.
The only thing I see is
Locked SIM
in the upper left corner and can't do anything about it.
The question: How can I trigger the panel to unlock my SIM card again?

I have an iPhone SE 2 with a German O2 SIM card with an unlimited data plan and that is supposed to be able to use other networks when traveling in the EU. The last time I was in Sweden it often worked well and then there were totally unpredictable periods where it went down for a bit, anywhere from a few hours to days, then came back. During that time the phone might appear to be connected, showing full bars and LTE, but webpages never load. It looks like the phone thinks it’s connected but when it makes a request it never gets a response, not even an error one.
I have checked stuff like mobile data being on, data roaming, if my cell phone bills are paid, and also talking to some cell phone network representatives. I would like to know how I can investigate the connection under the hood with commands to know where in the system the issue really is.
Can I plug my iPhone into my Mac and somehow run command line commands to test the cell network in different ways, checking for confirmation that it is connected to the network, and trying to see specifically that a request went out and there is no response? Then I could know that it might be the Swedish networks that aren’t serving the number at that moment for some reason. Or, that it’s something else.

iPhone iOS13 w/ dual SIMS: T-Mobile (EU) & AT&T (US). I need help shortcut script:
* IF I arrive home THEN
* turn on airplane mode and WIFI
* GO To Settings -- Cellular (Cellular Plans)
* 1 Cellular plan (T-Mobile) Turn ON / 2 Cellular Plan (AT&T) Turn ON
* IF I leave home THEN
* turn off airplane mode and
* GO To Settings -- Cellular (Cellular Plans)and
* 1 Cellular plan (T-Mobile) Turn ON / 2 Cellular Plan (AT&T) Turn OFF
This allows the user access to WIFI calling only while at home location and local cellular plan use while outside of home.
[Turning off Network completely: Not just 'data' but the complete network mobile line. Ex: T-Mobile is 'active' and AT&T turns off.]

Yesterday I made an update to the latest iOS version. Now I have to unlock the phone to enter the passcode for Mobile ID (2FA authentication).
Before the update, I could enter the Mobile ID passcode without unlocking.
How can I reset to the previous behavior?

I have a dual SIM phone. All of a sudden, the eSIM (personal line) kept getting calls on loop from a number saying that this is Apple and that someone logged into my account.
A few minutes later, I'm signed out of all my iCloud Devices. I tried to sign back in, and the password stopped working, and the trusted number was changed.
Then, my phone was remotely wiped right in front of me and it was set up as a new phone, without the ability to restore from iCloud Backups since my iCloud account was no longer accessible.
When I set up the phone as a new phone, I only had one SIM (physical SIM) and no eSIM registered anymore on the phone.
My theory of what's happened is they SIM swapped my personal phone line and somehow got into my Apple ID (It was a fairly strong password, unless it got leaked somehow), and used access to my personal number to gain access to my iCloud. I got access to my phone line a few hours later by going back to AT&T and creating a new eSIM. Of course, AT&T has no logs or historical info showing a new device has been changed or what the IMEI even was.
Apple repeatedly says they can't do anything to restore access to my iCloud account because my trusted number has been changed. I understand that perhaps due to end-to-end encryption and/or privacy components here, even Apple can't do something, but I just find it so ridiculous that even though I own the email and the username, nothing can be done.
I saw an [article with something like this happening, though I don't know if it ended up going anywhere](https://www.newsweek.com/woman-says-apple-failed-help-hacked-account-until-her-plea-went-viral-1673661) .
Has anyone either:
1) Dealt with this before, and has some advice for me?
2) Knows anything more about how to escalate a situation like this.

I'm fine with this happening via the phone network, via an app, or FaceTime, or some other mechanism. The iPhone will usually be on WiFi while in the EU (in addition to the local SIM card/phone network). I'm ok with missing forwarded calls while the phone is not on WiFI (if relevant).

30-day iMessage grace period with eSIM?

When traveling, it’s helpful to use a temporary local SIM card to increase coverage and reduce cost. Swapping your *physical* SIM with a new one gives you seamless access to apps that rely on data (e.g. WhatsApp, Messenger) while also giving you 30 days of seamless access to Apple’s services (e.g. iMessages, FaceTime).
The latter is only possible because of how Apple treats a new *physical* SIM card:
1. You get a “iMessage and FaceTime Number” notification “### will continue to be registered for iMessage and FaceTime. You can change this in Messages Settings."
2. When you go to the iMessage settings, you see that it has a **30 day counter** and says “This number is registered to your Apple ID, but is not associated with this phone. You can keep using the number for iMessage and FaceTime until it expires.”
This is perfect since it means for any trip less than 30 days, you’ll experience zero disruption on Apple's services too while using the local SIM.
As of 2018, rather than using a *physical* SIM, [you can now use an eSIM](https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212780) , and newer phones *only* allow you to use an eSIM.
When attempting to temporarily disable1 my original SIM and enable the local eSIM, I don't see how to get the same 30-day iMessage grace period.
Is there a way to disable my original SIM, enable a temporary local eSIM, but still use iMessage/FaceTime with my original number (e.g. for 30 days)?
---
1 I’m disabling the old SIM since it’s the only way to guarantee I don’t accidentally get charged by my carrier if I send/receive a call/text/data on my old number. For example, assume I leave my original SIM on, but set Default Voice Line to the local eSIM. I could still incur charges if someone sends an SMS to my old number, or if I pick up a call sent to my old number.

I am travelling in Europe with an iPhone 12 mini, with an eSIM from home (Australia) and a travel SIM from 3UK. The travel SIM has a 30 day life (for some resta il reason from the company that I bought it from). Last month worked perfectly; I could access Mobile data without a hitch. However when I put this months SIM in Mobile data no longer works.
I get messages saying “Data Roaming is turned off” but I don’t even have a switch to do this. The only control I have is to have Mobile Data Off, from the 3UK SIM, or from the Australian eSIM.
Any ideas?

When I go to
Settings -> General -> About
, it shows Carrier: Not Available.
According to [this link](https://www.howtogeek.com/793677/how-to-tell-if-your-iphone-is-unlocked/) ,
> If you see "No Sim Restrictions," then your iPhone is unlocked. If it says "SIM Locked" (or something similar), then your iPhone is locked to a particular carrier.
So what does Carrier: Not Available
mean? Is there a way for me to determine whether my phone is carrier locked before buying another SIM?
[This article ](https://www.verizon.com/support/device-unlocking-policy/) implies that it should be unlocked, but I'm not sure.

It's easy to disable wi-fi connections or cellular data, but how does one disable connections to cellular networks?
Three obvious solutions:
- use Airplane mode.
- remove SIM card.
- explicitly set the network to a different carrier.
The first also turns off wi-fi, the second is awkward and inconvenient, and the third burns CPU as it continually tries to connect to the wrong network.
Is there an easy way to say that I want to use wi-fi without any cellular connection?
(In case it makes a difference, this is specifically for an iPhone-8.)

I have a dual-sim iPhone 13, which I use when commuting across the Swiss-EU border. With my current Swiss phone plan, I have free data roaming within the EU.
When in Switzerland, I have
Automatic Network Selection
enabled. However, when roaming in neighbouring EU countries, I would like to _manually_ choose my network provider. However, doing this by going to Mobile Data
> SIM
> Mobile Data Network
and letting the iPhone search for all available providers can take up to 5 minutes.
Is there an app that can manually select the network provider when roaming, such that I don't have to switch between automatic (when at home) and manual (when roaming) network selection?

However, I have very high roaming fees and occasionally I'll answer a phone call and miss the little icon that signals what number they're calling and it'll cost me $$. Also when driving, Bluetooth doesn't signal which phone number they're calling from.
I'd like to just disable incoming calls all together to that phone number. It's mainly only spam phone calls anyways.
Any idea how to block incoming calls iPhone 13?
