Google Keep on Android seems to convert arbitrary numeric data into clickable phone numbers. Any sequence of 5 or more digits, with differing punctuation seems to trigger it. I seem to have triggered this a lot so far and not once have I actually typed a phone number! This is proving to be quite problematic. The hypertext'd numbers are too easy to tap, particularly when you are going back to edit that text, which then transports you away to the dialer! Most annoying. Google Keep on Android having converted Is there any way to prevent the app from doing this? **UPDATE:** I installed the update to 1.0.79 today but there is no change in this behaviour yet. In fact I can't see that _anything_ has changed with this update?! Possibly bug fixes I guess, but nothing new is listed in the official change log either?! However, this over zealous hyperlinking of numbers is more prevalent than I first thought... the default text messaging app does it as well - so I guess they share a common text-element?

First of all, I have searched for this issue already and found this post . However the advice to change the default notes and list provider to something other than google keep did not work for me. So I am opening a new question because of that. These suggestions are completely irrelevent to me and cause me to be annoyed, which decreases productivity and overall satisfaction. I can't see how there is any actual gain from these suggestions in the first place, because the probability that one of these suggestions was exactly what I was looking for is probably one in about a million. As you can see they aren't even closely related to what my notes are about.enter image description here

This post is related to my former post on internet security and Android . I want to download my entire Google Drive and put it on a USB key. The USB key will not be safe. It can be lost. It can be formatted and overwritten. However, I could store it in a safe in a bank, if I had the money. Alternatively, I could just take my chances. However, I am afraid Google Drive won't let me do this, because doing so would just take up too much bandwidth. Other apps such as Google Keep may not even provide the support to do this (a backup from which notes could be restored). Is there a way to achieve what I'm looking for, without having to download one file at a time. Thanks. Is this a use case that Google has been taking into account to catering to. I don't think that Google, a big giant concerned with user friendless and customer support, would be concerned about losing customers by catering towards bulk data downloading. If anything, users would appreciate it. Some users could be concerned about someone logging in and downloading all of their data at once. If this is the case, they could make the bulk download accessible though phone voice verification or fingerprint verification on a separate date section, is it not so? Thank you.

Most of us have Android smartphones. At the same time, not all of us may have Android powered(/enabled) cars, but, may have to do something (such, as, check a note in the front drawer, or under the top light blocking panes, or do something next to the engine or other car part in the front hood, or grab something in the back part of the car and give it to someone in the morning, or check the fueling components at the back or at the front, or clear the back seat, or something along these lines). Google Keep has location reminders, but here we need something to remind us when we get in proximity of the car. And we may not be able to go to the car, because we may be busy or it may be snowing outside. We want to set a reminder that kicks in as a notification next time we are in proximity of the car, perhaps also with a specific associated time or time interval in which that reminder will be active. Does NFC do the job? Do I need to purchase a special NFC chip for my car, and how can I program it make the notification kick in when my phone is next to the car or when I enter the car. Can NFC be made to work this way? How can I do this in Android? Thank you for your contributions. Thanks.

Counting number of notes in Google Keep
I wonder if there is a way to display the number of notes in Google Keep. For programmers, this would be similar to a "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM Table" in SQL. Is there a way to digit some special keywords in the search box, to display this? Thanks.

The only thing that I may think of that could have caused this -- I've disabled notifications "from this page" in Chrome. But how could that have affected Android push?... Does anyone know how to turn it back on? On Android I mean. UPD: I don't use any integrations (like Google Now) for these reminders -- plain Google Keep functionality. UPD2: I double-checked. Set up a reminder to fire in 5 minutes, than set down and watched what happens. Turns out, it DOES play notification sound, and does show a reminder, in notifications bar, but only for a second, and then it disappears!

I am using Google keep on an Android 11 device. I am wondering how I can copy an image in Google keep from one Google keep note to another. How can I do this? I'm asking because I received an image via WhatsApp and could not share it to a specific already existing Google keep note but had to share it to new Google keep note. So, I shared it to a new Google keep note. However, when I selected the image by long pressing on it in Google keep, and then selected copy from the three dots in the upper right hand corner I could copy it, but then did not find the way of pasting it to the other note that already contained images there. Thank you for your help

When writing lists in Google Keep, sometimes infuriating Clippy-style auto suggestion popups appear, suggesting different things starting with the same word that another person might have wanted to write. These popup boxes are distracting and get in the way, usually overlapping the space I want to press to move to the next item in the list and obstruct seeing what I've written. I want to turn this feature off. I've been through the settings and help, but there doesn't seem to be any option to turn it off. I've also sent feedback through the app asking for an option to turn it off to no avail. Looking at the forums, I see people have been asking for a way to turn this off since 2016. There's a common old suggestion that it only turns on if something relating to "Shopping" is in the list title - but in 2018 I still get the popup plague even on lists with no title. Is there any roundabout way to disable this which works?

I've recently been trying Google Keep for its speech-to-text feature. The problem I'm having though is that it only records a couple of seconds then stops; usually about 2 to 7 seconds. I tried it several ways and made sure my fingers aren't on the screen while I'm recording, so I don't think I'm accidentally tapping the screen to stop the recording. Is the problem likely with my phone, or is there some setting I need to change? I assume I don't need to upgrade $ to make notes that are longer, do I?

I would like to know what happened to the option to keep Google Keep notes to Google Drive. I can remember seeing this option on a version of Google Keep on my previous phone that was reset (Android 6), but can't see the option on my new phone (Android 7). I would like to know what happened to the option, and, since I lost my notes since the app was not working properly, I would like to see where I can find the backup in Google Drive. Anyone know where I can find it?

As you know , since late 2014 Google Keep allows sharing notes with others. But I've noticed I can't share in Android (tried in Samsung Galaxy S4 mini GT-i9195i) with another Gmail account. There's a save confirmation with a "viewing shared note" message, but it doesn't actually share. As if I never shared in the first place. It also doesn't auto-fill when I start typing the other Gmail account. As soon as I try it via Google Keep's webpage, it works flawlessly. It auto-fills the other other Gmail account and actually shares with it. Any idea why?
