Infrared touch frame with Android TV not working! android.hardware.touchscreen?

I recently purchased a 55" Infrared touch frame for my Android TV 55", this IR frame works perfectly when I connect it to a PC with Windows 10 via USB no drivers are needed.
However, when I connect the same frame to my TV OS:Android TV 11, there's no response to touch input.
After some research, I came across the concept of "android.hardware.touchscreen" in Android and started wondering if this feature might be disabled on Android TV OS, preventing the IR frame from functioning. My questions are:
* **Is it possible that a disabled "hardware.touchscreen" feature is causing my issue?** I haven't found any definitive information about whether Android TVs generally have this feature enabled or disabled by default.
* If so, **is there a way to enable "hardware.touchscreen" on my Android TV?** I'm hesitant to tinker with settings even if it could potentially harm my TV.
* **Are there any other potential causes for the IR frame not working on my Android TV?** It would be helpful to understand other areas I could investigate.

I would like to know whether on Android devices it is possible to input a combined touch plus swipe gesture.
For instance, I could touch with one or more fingers with the left hand, and simultaneously swipe left to right or right to left with the right hand.
As an application, with TakBack, this could be used, with one finger plus swipe left to right or right to left, to skip forward or backward one word while text is being read, with two fingers plus swipe left to right or right to left, to skip forward or backward one sentence while text is being read, and three fingers plus swipe to toggle pausing while text is being read.
I think, this could be significantly useful in improving usability of TalkBack for blind users.
When will this be available in Android?
Thanks.

How do I disable skipping chapters with two-finger double taps on YouTube?

Is there a way to disable the two-finger double-tap gesture to skip chapters on YouTube? Or alternatively, is there a way to disable or reduce the sensitivity of two-finger gestures on my device?

I am planning on get a new android phone, and one of my options is the Xperia Miro. I know it is not big deal, but it fulfills my needs.
But one of the specs that got my attention is that it says here , that it only supports up to 2-finger multitouch. I've seen other phones, like Xperia J, and they also say that.
My question is, how much could i need more than 2 finger support?
For my experience, the majority of apps really don't use more than that, because the most common use of multitouch is simply pinch to zoom, turn pictures X degrees, etc, and they only need 2 touches. Even games mostly only use 2 touches max (afaik), for example shooters, typically use only left side for moving and right side for shooting, besides they are meant to be played using thumbs, so 2 fingers is enough.
So, if I get such phones with only 2 finger support, what will I be missing? What kind of apps NEED more than 2 fingers and what do they use them for? (Real examples would be nice).
I really can't think of any app that needs that, but i don't know.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

I am trying to run a standard AVD (ARM, empty layout, other settings as proposed by Android Studio) on the emulator. Enabled
-verbose
, -debug all
and -show-kernel
modes.
The emulator boots, but ends up in complaining that it cannot connect to a certain socket (127.0.0.1:1970). I tried to open a TCP socket at this port, and got a message from SDKCtl multi-touch - it is trying to establish an handshake.
Does anybody know a workaround, or may at least explain what SDKCtl exactly is, and what it is trying to connect to?
I am on a Mac with El Capitan.
UPDATE
I found a workaround. Just use, when starting the emulator, the option:
-screen no-touch
At this point Android boots (very slowly), the device screen is not empty anymore, but a "process system isn't responding" message appears, and the system stays there.
SECOND UPDATE
In the log from the emulator, I noticed this error:
goldfish_fb 9010000.goldfish_fb: coherent DMA mask 0xffffffff is smaller than system GFP_DMA mask 0xffffffffffffffff
THIRD UPDATE
If one does not issue the -screen no-touch
option, and waits *a lot*, in the end the virtual device boots, with the "process system isn't responding" message. At this point one may click on "wait" on the device message. And then the device seems to work. But the errors in the log are still there.

Is it possible for apps to interfere with multi-touch system wide?
I'm having multi-touch issues with Swype. However, other users with same phone are reporting A-OK, so I'm wondering if PEBKAC or ID-10-T. However, I have tested bone stock after a factory reset and experienced the same behavior.

Pinch-zoom not pure zoom in Web browser on HTC Desire Z because text is auto-re-formatted: irritating / layouts break

When I (multi-touch) pinch to zoom and release my fingers from touching the screen to see the zoomed display, the Android web browser on the HTC Desire Z performs a shrink-to-fit re-format of the page (or a block of text).
This re-formatting is unsatisfactory because:
- the original page layout is not retained, for example horizontal navigations get squashed e.g: from
- ABOUT SHOP FORUM SUPPORT
to
- ABOUTSHOPFORUMSUPPORT
or worse the text overlaps
- when pinching to zoom photos on a site, the zoom occurs but on releasing the fingers to complete the pinch, the photos shift as if they are anchored to a spot.
- the shifting affect of the reformat is irritating at best and confusing at worse, because the user's eyes lose track of where they were reading once they release their fingers from the screen to complete the pinch
Is there anyway to turn off the auto reformatting?
I notice that this "feature" of reformatting is *not* present on my iPod Touch - this device performs a "pure zoom" whereby the multi-touch pinch simply zooms in without reformatting/shrinking to fit the text block to the screen, this flows better and feels more natural. (Please note: No this is *not* an Apple Fan-boi rant, remember I am an owner of a HTC Desire Z Android phone as well as an ipod touch and would like to see my suggested improvedments in the Android phone).
I suspect that this occurs on other Android 2.2 phones but can't be sure.

Does Android allow for multitouch input?
I have a Samsung Galaxy Y phone with Android 2.3. On the Samsung Homescreen, when I rotate two fingers simultaneously in a clockwise direction, I get the option to add/remover spaces from the home screen.
Because of this, I assume it must be possible, but I have never come across any app for Android that makes use of it. Several iPhone apps make use of them. Why is it? What is the state of multitouch in Android?

I don't really understand what's the difference here? Can the dual-touch ability be faked and how is that possible?
By the way, if anyone can tell is it possible to activate the dual touch feature in my phone I would be super thankful.
