How to troubleshoot Yahoo Mail app that shows empty error pop-up on login attempt?

As part of migrating to a new Pixel 7 phone and accessing email for her work, my spouse installed the Yahoo Mail app, which shows three options: login with Yahoo, login with Google, and create new account.
Tapping any of those options shows this empty pop-up message with a single button, “OK”, which returns to that same screen of three options. This app lacks any other starting point for logging in.
She’s already able to access her Yahoo Mail account from a browser tab on the same Pixel 7 device connected to the same WiFi network, so the issue appears specific to Yahoo’s app itself.
Search results for an empty error message (so far) fail to provide anything useful via Google or Yahoo’s mail help. Our best guess is that changing devices led to this situation.
How would you troubleshoot this kind of issue that lacks a clear error in-app message?

Getting a timeout error when trying to reach Yahoo mail through all apps. That's the only site with an issue. Samsung s20 fe 5g 1ui4.0
Received a replacement s20fe last week and haven't been able to reach Yahoo mail since. It times out or returns a 'This page isn't working' message. Can't even get through with the Yahoo mail app. No problems reaching any other site or service. The only problem is getting to Yahoo, with any app.

I'd like to understand the cause of this:
1. I put the smartphone on airplane mode
2. After some hours I turn off the airplane mode, and activate internet connection
3. Suddenly, after having lowered the notification panel, automatically it opens the PlayStore with a string in the search field, something like *toroepan°tyf* (I don't remember it exactly), and the advice that any matching item hasn't been found
4. After this I notice that in *recent apps* there's Yahoo mail (I didn't opened it before)
5. I touch Yahoo from *recent apos*, and inexplicably it appears that I have choiced to open an attachment (it seems as a gif), so I go back with the upper arrow, and
6. It is showed a mix of a chat conversation and of a forum message I wrote about one month ago on Chrome
7. Moreover these pieces of written things alternate with gifs (please look at the second screenshot below representing the internal content), other images, and even a private video of the Android gallery
8. And it is a mail I would be ready to send to chrome-distiller://(many alphanumeric characters) (please see the 1st screenshot below)
I googled and summarily I've understood what distiller refers to and means.
The question is how it has been possible the existence of that mixture of pieces of web pages (chat, message on Chrome), even gifs and images I've never used and a shred of chat I wrote on *Lichess* app (which, I suppose, uses Chrome for the chat feature) in the form of a Yahoo draft.
Is it known a similar effect? Has someone else experienced something analogue? Maybe is it an Android or Chrome bug? Perhaps something malicious acting in the background?
I really can't figure out the cause of it.

I have just purchased a Samsung A51 / S51 and use Yahoo Mail. Emails now are placed in conversation threads which makes viewing confused. Apparently you can toggle this option on or off either via Settings directly or via Profile. However this option does not seem to show up in my Settings and accessing my Profile is not so simple and / or seems not to make any difference. It is almost as if someone has gone to great lengths to make this simple operation complicated. Can anyone shed any light?

The mail app on my Samsung note does not allow me to set up my email account with the full Yahoo address: it does not permit adding the
.au
at the end of the address. If set up the account like this, then I receive all my emails, but any I send out from my samsung misses the .au
domain suffix -- resulting in anyone replying, not being able to respod without it bouncing back to them. They obviously do not notice the .au
is missing.
I've contacted Yahoo, who say my address is with .au
and anything without that will not get through.
I've tried resetting my samsung by removing my yahoo adress, and replacing it, but it will still not accept setting up the account with the .au
and only simply as @yahoo.com
.
Is there any solution known?

For some reason, when I send an email from my Yahoo account from my Samsung 8+, the replies come into my Gmail account. When you look at the email reply, it clearly says "mailto:myyahooaddress" yet it only shows up in my gmail account.
I tested it by sending a friend an email and sure enough, when they do a reply, my Gmail address shows up even though it is sent from the Yahoo account.
I checked my settings in Yahoo and no where does it show my Gmail info other than recovery account did my email address show up. I deleted it and it still does the same thing.
Why is this happening and how to stop it? I am guessing it is a setting in the Samsung phone that is causing this.

I just recently downloaded the Yahoo app to get my email on, and I am constantly getting notifications from Yahoo News. I want to turn off the news notifications but *not* the mail notifications.
I turned off all notifications, but I get time-sensitive email messages and I am missing a lot of deadlines with the notifications off, so I turned it back on.
But now I'm killing my battery because I am constantly having to check my phone because I never know if it's an email or news that I don't care about.
Can this be done?

I have created several contact lists in my Yahoo e-mail account by using Yahoo's website via Internet Explorer. I would like to send an e-mail to one of the contact lists from my Android phone (which is a Galaxy S4), but I can't figure out how... Here is what I've tried so far:
1. Unable To Access Contact Lists From Yahoo Mail App: I tried accessing the contact lists from the Yahoo Mail App, which I installed on the phone, but I can't find the lists anywhere. My contacts all appear in the app, and the information seems to be read-only. I can't edit their names or any of their details, and I can only access a list of all of my contacts when I try to compose an e-mail and touch the "To" field in the newly composed e-mail. There is no mention of the lists to which they belong.
2. Unable To Create New Contact Lists As Groups On Android Device By Syncing With Yahoo Account: I went into the Yahoo Mail App Settings and selected "Sync Yahoo contacts". This imported the contacts into my Android contacts, but it did not assign them to any groups. If they belonged to contact lists in my Yahoo account, no new groups were created. Also, existing groups on my phone that matched the names of contact lists in my Yahoo account were ignored and not used when the contacts were imported.
I realize that I could manually recreate the groups on my Android device and assign all contacts to them, but this would be a very tedious and time consuming solution to a process that seems to beg for automation. Is there a quick way of doing this?
If necessary, is there another app I can download that is safe to use which will accomplish the task? I tried the above solutions using Gmail as a workaround, but encountered the same obstacles.

I have added my Yahoo Mail account to Gmail app on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 3, latest Gmail version)
However, ~5 times out of 6, the app fails to log in to Yahoo (the username/pwd and other settings are clearly correct since it **does** succeed in connecting once in a while).
Server is android.smtp.mail.yahoo.com, port 465. SSL/TLS security
Error is "Username or password is incorrect".
What could be causing this and what can I do to fix?

The picture (click to enlarge) is a screenshot of the default email application configured to sync Yahoo Mail over IMAP. The white border in the bottom of the picture is where emails are normally displayed. There does not seem to be any determinant in which emails present this problem. Does any one know why this issue might present, and how to fix it?

So I've recently upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S4 from the iPhone 4. I seem to have correctly added my yahoo mail account. However, every time the phone checks for mail, it will indicate that I have 17 new messages, when in reality there may only be three new messages. What is happening is that as I delete messages, the phone seems to be pulling older messages from my yahoo account and loading them as new, even though they have already been read on my PC. At first I just re-read them on my phone to clear the icon number indicator, but the the minute the phone does another push from my account, it happens all over again.
The Verizon tech person there's nothing I can do about this, but I can't believe that's true. Any help on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Marcella

I would like to create a new Gmail contact or Yahoo mail contact from my Android device. It's a Samsung Galaxy S4 running Android 4.4.2. I've tried looking in the Yahoo mail app, the Gmail app, and the Google+ app on my phone, but I can't find any options to create a new contact. I would prefer not to create the contact on my phone, since I've been having trouble exporting all of the device contact information to my Gmail and Yahoo mail accounts (specifically, it doesn't seem to send the groups that the contact is a member of). Any help would be much appreciated, even if only to say that this is not possible or that it requires a 3rd party app.
