How to insert any multi-page .pdf's into Word for Mac without converting it into text, or having to create individual files of each page?

On macOS Monterey, v. 12.5, MacBook Air M1, 2020, and the latest version of Word for Mac (v. 16.64 (22081401), you have two options. If your .pdf is text based, and the God's pity you, you'll have no issue converting the document into text. But what half decent lawyer wants to do that when having to assert to the authenticity of an exhibit, right? So you're going to need the actual pages of the document. You can easily insert (secondary click > insert picture > boom!) a .pdf no matter how many pages it has, in fact, when the file choosing window comes up, you even get to use the left-right arrows to have a glimpse of the page of the .pdf. But for what end!? Because even when you turn the pages to one you wanted, but the first page, it will _still_ enter, but the very first page. In that very window, there is a button labeled "Option", and there is something alluding to some "range[s]", but even there you cannot define which one or more pages you needed let alone ranges or pages and ranges you needed from a file. Íf you choose the file, it defaults to inserting page one. The work around is 1. separating the .pdf into (at times hundreds) of individual files, and pumping them into Word one by one. This is laborious and wasting ridiculous amounts of times in bigger litigations of costly billable hours even if you had the privilege to have paralegals do it for you as a fresh out the bar sole practitioner. So, yeah, someone please help. If nothing else, **how can you batch insert all the pages of a .pdf even if you can't pre-specify which ones you needed** (you can still then quickly select them with the mouse, and delete what you don't need)? Bonus, how would it be possible, if at all, to select different non-continuous ranges of pages of a single file to squeeze in. (If you answered the first, that will probably green mark the answer with full satisfaction.)

I've just got a new iMac, running Sonoma. My old iMac was running Catalina. When I open an .rtf document while another document is also open in TextEdit, it opens the second document in a new tab in the existing window, rather than in a new window like it did in Catalina. I'd prefer to open documents in a new window by default. I can't see anything in the TextEdit menus or settings dialogue to control this. Is it possible to change this behaviour, or is this yet another feature Apple have taken away?

How do I log-out (or reset) Microsoft's RMS / AIP [Azure Information Protection] identity on a Mac for Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook?

Microsoft 365 offers a *RMS / Right Management Service* called *Azure Information Protection* which is integrated with Outlook, Word, Excel. It encrypts documents of certain files, in a nutshell. On a Windows computer switching between two accounts within Word is relatively easy, but switching the under-the-hood RMS/AIP account is harder. On Windows you launch the *Azure Information Protection Unified Labeling Client* and reset the logged-in account via that application (update :/). On a Mac the integration in Office of AIP with Sensitivity Labels is similar to Windows; however, no AIP- unified (right-click) client exists at the moment of writing for Mac OS. My question is: **How do I log-out or reset the logged-in AIP user on a Mac?** It doesn't not matter what the logged-in account in Word is, that one is not necessarily linked to the account which logged is in AIP/RMS and fetches the appropriate Sensitivity labels and access rights.

How to upload pdf or, docs in safari or any popular browser in iOS?
I was just stunned today, when I just discovered that I cannot upload my resume either in pdf/doc while applying for a job. All I have access to is Photos, which is my photos and videos repository. Is there actually a way to upload documents in safari or it is just not allowed in iPhones or iOS.

I need to fill in a form that was sent to me in .lwp format... So far: - The App Store couldn't find any compatible apps; - I found out it's a Lotus WordPro document; - By using Word's Recover text from any file , the content is all messed up; - I don't have access to a PC to use WordPort nor Kvlotus.exe ; - I read the solution is to install IBM Lotus Symphony ... ...but before I download a 250MB+ package and install it for a one time thing, did anyone here face the same problem just to come to a more elegant solution to convert this file to a more useful format? --- *Later edit:* installing **Symphony doesn't support it** either: !Open .lwp file in IBM Lotus Symphony for Mac So my question remains: how do you use a **.lwp** file on a Mac?

I'm working on two projects, let's call them Project1 and Project2. This week I'll be working on Project1. The files of Project1 on which I'll be working are stored at different place on my PC - Downloads, Documents and Desktop. The next week I'll be switching over to Project2, Project1 will be incomplete. Now I don't want both projects to mess up so I want to do something like move the Project1 files to a different place under 3 different alias Downloads, Documents and Desktop. Then when I finish my Project2, I want my Project1 files to move to their original locations with some shortcut keys or a single command. Thanks in advance! 😄

I am looking for a 'desktop search' solution for the mac. I like the look of HoudahSpot (built on top of Spotlight) but it doesn't quite do everything I would like. **My ideal search solution would do all of the following:** 1. Index all content of all MS Word documents on an individual computer (and preferably other formats as well, but MS Word is the key one), with ability to exclude certain files, documents and folders 2. Ability to have several custom document indexes ie. can ideally set up some content indexes to only contain a smaller subset of documents related to a certain project - not everything on my computer. Or alternatively have 'saved searches'. 3. When you do a search for a phrase or term, a list of MS Word documents that contains the search term/phrase is returned. 4. An extract with the search term highlighted is displayed for each document returned in the search results list, including some indication if the phrase appears in a document more than once. Viewing the extract within which a term or phrase appears helps context it and give a better idea of if this is the occurrence you are looking for. 5. When you click on an item in the search results window that document is opened in its native application ie. MS Word, AND 6. All occurrences of the term or phrase are highlighted in the open document, with the first occurrence selected. Ideally have ability to quickly move forward and back between multiple occurrences of the phrase/term within one document. 7. An added bonus would be the ability to do 'boolean', 'proximity' and other more advanced searches. 8. Tag documents with metadata, and this metadata can be searched on 9. Can index and search across multiple locations eg. servers as well as local computer As mentioned, the closest I can find on the mac is the 'HoudahSpot' product, but I think it only does 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8? The other solution that does everything I want is Adobe Acrobat's PDF search functionality, however its only for PDFs. If I could find similar functionality for MS Word documents I'd be really happy! My other option is to move to a full document management solution, but I would probably still need to employ a developer to customize the search functionality to meet all my above needs? I'm not sure what document management system has good search? Also possibly there are limits to Spotlight's underlying design that stops me meeting all of the above requirements through products such as HoudahSpot? Maybe things like hit highlighting within MS Word could just use Word's inbuilt Find function, with the search term being passed to MS Word when the MS Word document is opened? Any ideas or advice from anyone would be much appreciated.

I'd like to be able to add, by script and by hand, files on dropbox to the print queue and for these to be retained there until I'm at a specific printer with my Macbook Pro. As it is now, I add docs to be printed when the printer isn't available and after a while these are removed before the printer becomes available. Is there a setting in OS X I can use to retain the files of the print spool until the printer in question is available? Alternatively, is there a simple print spool application that can handle this task? I've looked in the App Store and on macupdate.com and googled and found very little. Any suggestions how to solve this issue in OS X 10.9 Mavericks?

In Console, Preview is reporting the following error upon opening: "29/02/2012 14:45:57.183 com.apple.Preview.TrustedBookmarksService: Failure to de-serialize bookmark data file." I'm using Preview as an example here, but it holds for every app - whether they are bundled or downloaded - on my system. System Preferences/Appearance/Number of Recent Items is set to 10. In the title bar of a supported document choose "Browse all versions…" from the drop-down menu. It seems handy enough, but how can you easily tell what has changed between each document without having to manually scan each line? I assumed there must be a feature to highlight the changes but I can't find it. Has anyone figured this out?
