This has been getting me down, and I'm out of ideas. On my main twitter account, for one person I follow (@IndieGala), every single tweet is sent as a notification. After a quick bit of reading, I found two different methods to stop the tweets showing up, and I disabled it. A few hours later, they were showing up again. So I repeatedly disabled them for a couple of weeks, and it didn't ever stick. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and that seemed to fix it. For about 15 hours, then once again the tweets started showing up. If I go into settings and tweet notifications, the account is there. I disable it in that menu, and it vanishes. When the notification inevitably shows, it's back in the list as If I had never removed it. I don't want to disable notifications entirely, and there is an account who's tweets I do want pushed so I don't want to disable that entirely either. Has anyone had something similar to this? It's literally driving me to the edge of insanity. Thanks

This blocked other websites, but it did not block the Twitter website. **Limit Adult Content:** I also tried installing a profile with a Content Filter payload to Limit Adult Content. I did not give any Allowed URLs, and I gave the following four Unallowed URLs: http://twitter.com , https://twitter.com , http://mobile.twitter.com , https://mobile.twitter.com . This also did not block the Twitter website. **Screen Time:** I would rather not use Screen Time because it only supports a four-digit PIN –– not an arbitrary-length password. When I use an app such as Safari, I can choose to "Tweet" a page and it uses my Twitter account. How do I sign out of that Twitter account so that if I give my device to someone else, they can no longer tweet things on my behalf?

By this I mean: when I use Twitter or Fenix on iPadOS 16, and go to choose an image to go with my tweet, it displays a whole bunch of images, including a lot from my old iPad - this suggests that it is accessing iCloud, since my current iPad is only 4 days old! The problem is that I have a couple of images visible in the “On My iPad” option in the files app, but I cannot find anywhere in the “iCloud” option than has all of these old files. I would like to be able to choose these two “On My iPad” images for my tweet, but Twitter and Fenix appear to be looking elsewhere. I hope I’ve explained the problem clearly!

On the official Twitter iPhone app, a distracting bar saying "swipe up for more" will often repeatedly pop up on the bottom of the screen while I'm trying to watch a video. I've tried to dismiss the prompt by swiping to a new video a few times, but the bar keeps coming back when I try to watch a different video. How can I permanently disable the "swipe up for more" bar that appears when watching videos on Twitter?

This is a weird one. At first I thought it was just a problem with the Twitter app running in macOS sometimes just stops loading any media (pictures, gifs, videos). But then I noticed that twitter.com through Safari would exhibit the exact same problem, and loading the same tweet in Chrome worked perfectly. This happens sometimes, I think most notably the next morning. My computer doesn't go to sleep since I use it for some server purposes. Screenshots below are of the same tweet around the same time, one in the Twitter app, one in Safari and one in Chrome just to illustrate the point. I'm thinking this is some sort of issue with macOS' networking/cache layer? I'm running Little Snitch but tries disabling it but the problem persisted. I don't know, anyone have any ideas? Periodically on my Mac, images and videos from Twitter fail to load, consistently for a few hours or days at a time. I get this or something like it in Safari, Twitter's app, and third party Twitter apps. Some relevant-seeming details: - Other devices on the same wifi network don't have this problem, it's just the one Mac. - Aside from this, networking seems fine on the Mac. Only Twitter images and videos are affected. - The Mac doesn't have any of its own firewalls, proxy configs, or anything special about its network setup. - I'm currently on macOS 12.3.1 but this isn't a new problem. Where can I look to try and find what's causing this?

I upgraded today from Sierra to Mojave and now my share menu seems to be broken. Previously I could share content directly to sites like Facebook and Twitter. For instance I could right-click on a photo and choose to share it to Twitter, Facebook and so on like so: Now if I click on a photo and choose to share, I don’t get Twitter or Facebook as options anymore: How can I enable these options?

With the recent changes in Twitter, you can not tweet to more than one account using third party apps such as HootSuite. I use Twitter to tweet from several accounts on my iPhone. I only want to receive notifications from my Twitter account. Can this be done without shutting off the notifications for the other account owners?

On the same machine I can fire up Safari and I can get to the same url with no problem. On Chrome I tried using a guest and incognito account with no luck. I also used the settings feature to restore settings to their original default. Nothing seems to help. I am not having this problem with any other site, just twitter.

I used to have some iOS apps that were authorized to access my Twitter account through the legacy Twitter integration feature in old iOS version. This feature is no longer available in iOS 11. Often I'm in some iOS app (e.g. Facebook) and there's a link to some Tweet's URL. When I tap on it, it takes me to the web version of the Tweet inside a webview in whatever app I was in. Then if I want to like the Tweet, I have to login to Twitter again inside the webview even though I'm already logged in to Twitter in the native iOS Twitter app. Is there a quick way to get to the same Tweet in the native app?

I must be missing something simple here. I'm not a big Twitter user, but this seems like something that should be obvious and simple. I can get notifications on my iPhone (iOS 8) whenever certain people tweet. I want to get a notification when anyone ever tweets certain hashtags. I am using 6th gen iPod touch. When I was using iOS 10.3, Tweet URLs in Reminders showed with Twitter icons, and I could open Twitter app from Reminders by tapping Tweet URLs. From when I updated to iOS 11, Tweet URLs in Reminders showed without icons, and I could not open neither Twitter app nor Safari from Reminders by tapping Tweet URLs. How can I launch Twitter app with tap Tweet URL in Reminders in iOS 11 ?

I'm connecting to a local proxy to access internet on my iPhone/iOS 9 but Twitter app seems not using the global proxy i've set for my wifi... Other apps like Chrome & Safari are working just fine!

so I did not realize I was lacking this until I couldn’t use Twitter or Facebook to login to certain other accounts. I can’t seem to locate the area in Settings where I once had Twitter and Facebook listed (separately from the rest of the apps) and could manage my accounts for those two services from there. I’ve been prompted to “go to settings” and log in multiple times. Does anyone know where these are located now, whether they have been wholly removed, or wherever I need to do something to restore them? Thanks.
