Turn off ALL Daylight Savings Features in Android's calendar?

Thanks to Daylight Savings Time (DST) I have run into an issue. I live in Arizona where we don't participate in DST. I'm using the default calendar app that came with my phone. I have an outlook.com calendar that I sync between my phone, my desktop (Outlook 2007), outlook.com (the cloud) and my wife's phone. It has been working great until DST hit yesterday. Now all the Outlook appointments have shifted one hour.
In reading up on the issue it seems that Outlook relies on the computer's time setting to handle the time zone and creates its appointments with GMT +/- your time zone (so for AZ, it's GMT-7) rather than specifying the time zone explicitly (i.e. Mountain Standard Time - AZ). When another computer gets it, it looks at their time zone information on the recipient computer and adjusts accordingly (oh, AZ computer that's GMT-7 and NO DST adjustment). The problem is that the calendar app on the phone (and the new Google calendar app) just read the GMT-7 and then make the DST adjustment, but never factor in that we're AZ which get's no adjustment. So, it changes it to GMT-8 rather than leaving it at GMT-7. If I create the appointment on the phone, I can set the appointment to be GMT-7 (AZ) which then will display correctly across all devices, however I don't always create on the phone.
Is there any way to have the calendar(s)/the phone stop using DST altogether? DST doesn't apply to any of the calendars I have on my phone and I don't see it applying anytime in the future either. (I tried the new Outlook App for Android, but it's still beta - really beta).

**Scenario:** After meeting a new acquaintance, we exchange our contact details (phone number, email ..etc). These get saved using the default contact application on an android phone. Later, when logging into my office365 account via a desktop web-browser, the new contact is not present in the address book! Checking the phone shows that it has been saved on the device. The official Outlook app from Microsoft has been installed on the android phone and is capable of sending/receiving email.
Why did the contact not sync up? Is there anything that can be done to make the contact sync happen automatically?
Am open to the idea of switching to a different android email app to get things working, but would ideally prefer to keep using Outlook (or at least a non-Google contacts/calendar/email app!).
If it matters: I have administrative access over the phone as well as the office365 account in question.

My contacts are all stored in an outlook.com account and I would like to continue storing them there. To access and use these contacts (say to make a phone call), from my Google Pixel device, I have my outlook.com account added to the phone settings > accounts.
This works as it should. All my outlook accounts are accessible from my phone.
When I want to create and save a new contact, the options exist to create the contact from Google's Phone App and the Contacts App. When I click save, to save the contact, the contact doesn't get saved. No indication is given that the contact is not saved. Only when I check my list of contacts do I know the contact is not saved.
Is there any other way to save a contact to outlook.com from an android device?
Alternatively, does the above method I use to save contacts from Google's phone or contacts app work for any one else?
The current workaround I use is to visit the outlook.com website using a web browser, and then create and save new contacts. When Android periodically syncs the contacts, I get to see the new contacts on my phone. This workaround usually works better if the desktop version of outlook.com is used. The mobile version is not very friendly for saving new contacts to outlook.com.

My Outlook.com ActiveSync for contacts and calendar simply stopped working a few days ago. The locally added contacts and calendar entries are there, but nothing is synced with MS.
In the hope of fixing the issue, I deleted the activesync account (beware: now lost all contacts and calendar entries on device!!) and recreated it.
The account is correctly set up, and the email part (that I don't use) seems to work, but *no* contacts or calendar entries are synced down from
outlook.com
/ live.com
.
Several delete+add and phone reboots didn't help.

I have switched from the Gmail app to K9Mail yesterday because I needed multi-folder sync. However, I'm having trouble replicating the folder contents from my Hotmail account in K9Mail, a problem I didn't have with Gmail.
The folders not correctly replicated in K9Mail are the "special" folders Drafts, Deleted, Sent, and Junk.
I have found settings to set the special folders in the app, but they always appear to be empty. If I move an e-mail to "Drafts" in K9Mail, it does in fact create a new folder on the server, which happens to have the same name as the Hotmail draft folder.
On the other hand, if I put something in the Hotmail drafts folder, I cannot seem to access it at all in K9Mail.
Is this a shortcoming I have to live with, or am I missing something here?

I have also tried resetting my account by going to the calendar settings (cog in the top right, opening my @hotmail.co.uk account and pressing RESET ACCOUNT).
I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
It worked fine on my Android S4.

I have a Moto E.
I have an Outlook mail account that has some MS Excel files I uploaded from my computer to OneDrive.
If I log in to my Outlook account (using the Chrome App) and go to OneDrive in my Outlook account, I can see my documents listed. I can open one of my Excel documents. But, when I try to open another one, I get an error:
"We can't open the workbook because it contains features that we can't show in the browser."
There is also an Download button below the message. When I click on that button, it just reopens the same error page.
I really don't know why one file opens and one doesn't. They were both created with MS Office 2007 versions of Excel on a computer. They open fine on a computer.
Anyone have any ideas?
Note: I am only using the Chrome app. I am not using the Outlook app or the OneDrive app.
I only want to open/view the file.

One thing I have tried to do with my new smartphone is to NOT load it up with things. I thought the most efficient thing to do in this case was to use the Chrome app to access the Interest where I could check my Outlook account through the website. But, I also realize in the short time I have had my phone that there are times when getting/installing an app is the best way to go.

My phone went ballistic yesterday and auto-erased everything and after that I upgraded from 4.4.2. to 5.0.
Now that I should be a happy Lollipop user I've got a huge problem with Outlook.com calendars.
**I've got total of five calendars set up to my @outlook.com -account.** All those calenders synced without a problem with 4.4.2.
Case 1)
Now with 5.0 when I add new Exchange-account (meaning my Outlook.com) *events from all the calendars are synced into ONE CALENDAR* - not to five separate ones. Also I can only create events to the "Main" calendar.
Case 2)
If I install the official Outlook.com app - all the calendars are visible in the Outlook.com app, but are not synced to the stock calendar.
It's like pre 4.4 again! This issue was fixed for 4.4.2 only and now it's gone again...
**Is there any way to get all the Outlook.com calendars working with the stock calendar?!**
**My corporate Exchange calendar is visible via stock calendar and that is why I want to see our personal Outlook.com calendars in the same calendar... OR if yu can point me an app that does what I want I'd be thrilled!**

Someone asked a similar question, and I tried the answers, but they didn't work.
My problem is at some point my Android Calendar entries for my Outlook.com / Exchange account disappeared. I have an LG G2 and have setup my Outlook.com account as an MS Exchange account, preferring that over the Outlook.com app. I have uninstalled and re-installed the account several times. Each time the mail and contacts show up again fine. But the calendar contacts don't show up. I see the account within the calendar app, and have selected the account to show, but nothing shows up. I have also tried deleting the data for email, calendar, and contact apps, thinking that there is data cached that the Calendar app thinks it's already seen. But this does not seem to help.

I am using a Sony XPeria tablet with Android 4.1.2. I am using an ereader which can send email from within the app. If the tablet is not in Airplane mode, the emails go out fine. If the tablet is in airplane mode, the emails get queued in the outbox folder. When not in airplane mode, I open the stock email app and I see the emails int the outbox folder. However I see no option to send out the emails when I select the messages. When I resync, I get inbound messages but the outbound messages stay stuck in Outbox.
The only way I can send these emails is by selecting each message and forwarding it to myself (the recipient of these messages is myself). My mail server is outlook.com.
How do you force outgoing messages to be sent out?
