Can anyone help me out. I recently changed my Razr for Galaxy S4 (SCH-I545) on Verizon. I would like to access S-Voice from my bluetooth headpiece, but if I have a pin number set for the phone's lock screen, the S-Voice app won't start when I push the bluetooth button until I unlock the screen. Sort of defeats the purpose of hands free use such as in the car. On the Droid Razr there was an option in the settings under security to allow bluetooth voice control with the phone locked, but I can't find this on the Galaxy. The hands free bluetooth access works if the lock screen pin is disabled, but I prefer to have the pin number set, especially if I'm out and about, and it's a pain to go into settings to disable the pin everytime I get in the car. Any ideas? Thanks, Dan

Is there another way to stop S Voice from appearing whilst I play music over the headphone.

How to use your voice to add items to a shopping list?

In Android, using S Voice or Google Voice, if you say "Add tomatoes to my shopping list" it will google that, which is unhelpful. Ideally there should be a way to add items to lists generically in Google Now. Is there such a workflow? I am aware Grocery IQ app has Voice entry, but then the workflow is tedious: Hold a button, say OK google, say Open Grocery IQ, then tap a mic, then Say tomatoes.

Can I get the phone to pronounce the name so that I can try to use the same tortured pronunciation? 2. Is there a way to set a simpler "nick name" for a contact that can be better understood? 3. On my device, can Google Now do the same thing instead of S-Voice I.e. "Call partner_name/nickname" and would it be any better?

changing the "hi galaxy" phrase. is it even possible?

Boy! I had a few situations and eventually I had to turn off that awesome feature. Is there a way to change this "hi galaxy" phrase to something less likely to be confused? Can I personalize it? Something like "ok Samsung, wake up now!" or "ok note 3, wake up now" etc... the longer the phrase, the less likelyhood for an unintentional match, I assume. Also, being able to personalize this phrase will prevent other people's getting your way... Imagine, the guy in the bus says "Hi galaxy" to his phone and all the galaxy devices in the bus within reach wakes up. LOL!

Now when I do that it says, "Sorry, I am unable to detect your current location. Please check your settings and try again." But when I go to google maps and ask it to navigate, it does so without problem. So location services are working. What setting do I need to change? I saw similar post about this problem from 5 days ago (8/15/13). That is also when S-voice stopped working on my Samsung Galaxy S4, even though it was working perfectly for the past 3 weeks. My internet connection is working. I spent 1 1/2 hours with AT&T Tech Support and Samsung Tech Support on 8/17/13 and they could find no problems with my phone settings or internet connection. However, Samsung tech suggested doing a master reset on my phone. I did not do this yet because I do not believe it is a problem with the phone, especially since I now see another posting for the problem occurring on the same day. Is this a problem with an AT&T Server or is it Samsung? How can we get someone to check this out? **UPDATE 8/22/13:** I spent another 2 hours on phone 8/20/13 with new Samsung tech. He was convinced that it was not my phone after he also checked all the postings about this problem online, so he "elevated" the "ticket" to a "system" problem. Yesterday evening, I found that my S-voice just started working again!

Can I make S-Voice use my Exchange server contacts?

Unfortunately, S-Voice doesn't recognize any of my friend's full names. When I say "Call [*First Name*] [*Last Name*]", it recognizes "Call [*First Name*] [*Some dictionary word that sounds similar to Last Name*]". Obviously, most of my friends' last names cannot be found in any dictionary. Is there any way to tell S-Voice to somehow "learn" the names from my synced Exchange Server account? I have created a contact named "girlfriend" to be able to call my girlfriend while driving, but I really don't want to add a "dictionary nickname" for every single person I could potentially call. --- Related, but unanswered question for some other voice recognition product: https://android.stackexchange.com/q/23456/14204 . In case it is relevant: My S-Voice's language is set to German.

> [By default, when you double-tap the home key, you'll launch straight into S Voice.](http://www.androidcentral.com/galaxy-s4-quick-tip-disable-s-voice-shortcut-faster-home-button-response) To disable that shortcut, one could > load S Voice, then press the menu key and hit "Settings." Next, > uncheck "Open via the home key." That's it -- with the shortcut combo > disabled, the home button should respond immediately as opposed to > with a very slight delay. However, this method seems viable only once Samsung's Terms of Service (ToS) have been accepted - only after which S Voice will launch fully. Any way to disable that key combo *without* having to accept ToS of a S I do not want? Note that at this stage I do *not* (yet) want to uninstall S Voice. If you happen to know *how* to uninstall it, I'd appreciate a comment, though :-)
