With the introduction of iOS 15 and focus mode, I have once again wished that I could find a simple way (on a standard, non-jailbroken iPhone) to temporarily silence all sounds, including alarms, for some period of time.
The main use case here, is that I have a lot of daily alarms that are always set, but some times, I am at the theater or in a special meeting, where I do not want them to go off. Turning the alarms off and on, or giving them a silent ringtone, is not really a viable option.
I'd love a control panel switch or focus mode setting that could handle this, if there was one. A fancy shortcut automation might be an option, but I'm guessing that it would still be a bit difficult to make generic enough and reliable.
Using a non-Apple app for Alarms, might be one possible approach, as I think that would be silenced, but that solution isn't ideal since most of my workflow relies on the built in alarm functionality at the moment.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this (now or in the future)?
***EDIT***: Although the list of active, recurring alarms does not change all the time, it does change frequently enough, that I'd prefer a solution that could silence all enabled alarms and then un-silence that same list without needing to maintain the list, simply because it will be error prone.
As much as I like Apple products in general, the lack of a real "theater" silent mode in 2021 is completely baffling.

Custom iPhone Alarm Visual Message
I'm looking for a way to use the built in iPhone alarm app, but I want it to display a customizable message when I wake up. I've heard of ways to make siri speak a message, but I want it to be purely visual on the screen. Has anyone done this or know how to do it?

In Shortcuts, how can I convert a time in plain text into a date?
I want to be able to write a text like "155pm" and have that get turned into a date and then into an alarm on the same day with that time. I tried the set of actions shown below ([link to shortcut][1]), it works when I tried like "3pm" but not "155pm". Any ideas or solutions? [

I am virtually certain that in early iOS products -- for example, on my old 5th-generation iPod Touch, which was contemporary with the iPhone 5, and which shipped with iOS 6 -- one could set the stock Alarm Clock to use a playlist (from the Music app) instead of an alarm. That feature seems to no longer exist; while it is still possible to play an individual song as an alarm, one can no longer choose to play an entire playlist.
When exactly did this feature go away? That is, in what version of iOS was this feature removed?
PS: And just to forestall the obvious: I am aware of the work-around using the Shortcuts app . It seems unnecessarily complicated, and in any case that doesn't answer my question.

When studying, I used to use one of those cheap digital kitchen timers that chirps every ten minutes as a little reminder of how fast time was passing -- it helped me keep track of time without the temptation to constantly glance at the clock.
The kitchen timer gave out on me recently, so I've been looking for an iPhone app to replace it. Ideally, it would have an on and off setting, and when on, would periodically vibrate in my pocket every ten or fifteen minutes.
Unfortunately, the apps I've found are quite chintzy and don't support switching between apps, or stop as soon as the phone is set to sleep -- and either of these is a deal breaker.
Are there any iPhone apps out there do what I'm looking for?
(I've been burned by a couple of paid apps that turned out to be lemons, so I'd be most grateful.)

I was awakened last night by my MacBook beeping at what seemed like regular intervals. I shut it down. This morning I turned it on and the beeping came back. It was not completely regular. Sometimes, after restarting, with or without one of the many magic key sequences to reset something, it would be okay for a while.
Just before the beep, I noticed the screen dimmed briefly. There is a preferences option to dim the screen like this when going to battery power. I noticed the battery had not charged beyond 80%. There is an Optimised battery charging option in the Preferences. It wasn't ticked, but it says "To reduce battery ageing, your Mac learns from your daily charging routine so it can wait to finish charging past 80% until you need to use it on battery."

I have a Mac and an iPhone and prefer the alarm be on the iPhone if possible.
I can subscribe to a notification service (such as one of the news stations that sends text or email notifications about school delays/closings) but don’t know how to chain that to have my alarms altered.
i.e. If my school calls a 2-hour delay, I want my 6:15 alarm turned off and an 8:15 one turned on, and if they call a full-blown cancellation, I want all alarms off. Can it be done?

When I need to create an alarm manually I can see the default alarm sound, but every single time I create an alarm with Siri then it reverts back to that one song. It's impossible to change the default alarm sound that Siri uses. I'm using iOS 10.2.

I am looking for a way to implement next feature: I want to find a way on how to trigger any kind (not only from the built-in application) of alarm after the Telegram message.
For example, I am sleeping and in the middle of the night someone texts me. There is a high change that the sound of the notification (with
Do Not Disturb
mode turned off) won't wake me up, but long loud alarm would be albe to do that.
I have checked the Shortcuts application and there is nothing can be done about it. There is similar functionality, but for the Messages application, not third-party (the Telegram in this case).
From what I have seen, the Telegram bot could be the potential solution for this problem, but it cannot read private messages.
I am looking for ANY kind of solution. It can be application or the way I can implement it programatically. I have experience and I will be able to implement something like that but right now I am looking just for ways of the implementation.

How can I prevent the alarm app from sounding during a phone call on iOS?
Is it possible to configure the alarm app from sounding during a phone call? This is extremely annoying that the alarm app sounds during a call. This is loud and you have to ask the other party to wait while you finally disable it.

Was this in fact determined by the iOS version?
I'm a fan of installing as few apps as possible, and relying on native functionality. Is there any way to get the numerical keypad back without installing an app?
