Compressor Plugin for Audio Output of Mac
When listening to audio or watching a video clip on a Mac, I sometimes wish for a more even sound level throughout the playback, i.e. less variation in volume. Is there a way to compress the output audio (preferably at OS level) from my Mac? Any applications, plug-ins, etc.?

I have made many videos with different generations of iPhones.
The vast majority of my videos are in
*.mp4

Are *.mov

Should I convert these videos to *.mp4
? New iPhones don't seem to produce files in *.mov
and *.m4v
anymore.
It seems *.mp4
is an industry standard across manufacturer boundaries. *.mov
and *.m4v
is something specific to Apple ecosystem?

Could someone provide some guidance on how to correct my script? When I try and trim using the QuickTime GUI, I find I can't move the trim bars by just a second or two with my mouse (it seems to move in large increments), otherwise I'd use that route.

Is there a way to have a DVD drive somewhere in my house, that can be connected wirelessly to my iPad? In other words, some way to put the movie DVD into a separate DVD drive, start it playing, and have it beam the movie to my iPad, so I can watch it on my iPad? Basically, read the movie from my DVD player and then stream it wirelessly to my iPad. (I don't want something that would require my iPad to be connected via a wire to something else; that would leave me tethered, which is annoying.)
I know I could probably have a separate computer with a DVD drive and manually rip the movie and then somehow transfer it to my iPad, but that's a pain. I'd prefer something more convenient: just put it into the player, press play, and watch on my iPad. Is there a way to do it?

I am wondering how to make the scene freeze (fixed) while the unwanted scene is playing or better, a program that would adjust the timing of the subtitles to match scenes cut so that we didn't have to fast forward through whatever the "censored" still frames look like?

I also tried this Request a refund for an App Store or iTunes Store purchase
I don't wish to use phone support. Is it possible to use other process/form?

If always defaults to 0 (muted) when starting a new movie recording.
I understand that this is done in order to prevent audio feedback, however, this is not a problem for my situation.
I have tried created an apple script in order to accomplish this through automation, but it does not work.
Any other way to adjust the volume in quicktime without having to use the mouse?

In iTunes, when you purchase a movie in HD/4K, is the SD copy included?
I have an old iPod that I doubt can play more than SD, but I bought 4K for my newer items. Did Apple include the SD version in it? The iTunes store on iOS 6 doesn't work anymore for viewing movie pages, so I have to try and download the SD version of the movie on iTunes and sync it over.

does a nice job with the video, but I've not found how to re-sync the audio yet. That's why I am asking if anyone else has tried this and found a solution for both video and audio?

I rented the documentary movie Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine a few hours ago, and was able to watch it on iTunes on the Mac. When I tried to watch it on iPad, I do not see a Rental tab in the Videos app.
According to this page: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201611
this should be the way to do it:
But the 2nd line says: find the movie "on the device you used to rent it"... so does that mean if I use my Macbook to rent it, I can't view it on my iPad?
I can find it in iTunes store on the iPad, and if I tap rent, it will ask me if I want to pay $6.99 to rent it again.

Does an Apple TV stream 4K movies if the Internet connection is somewhat less than the recommended 25Mbps?

This is to decide whether to buy an AppleTV 4K or not:
For example, some areas may have an 18 to 22Mbps Internet connection, and is just about 10% to 20% lower than the official recommended 25Mbps.
And since the 4K movie cannot be downloaded but can only be streamed, and will be "downgraded" to the next lower resolution (from 4K to 1080p), will a connection of 18 to 22Mbps be able to stream a 4K movie?
Some factors:
1. If it is not an action movie, it may not require 25Mbps.
2. If it is 22Mbps, it is about 10% less than the recommended 25Mbps, so if Apple TV can buffer up 10% of the movie: 9 minutes of it out of a 90 minute movie, then mathematically, the whole movie will play till the end smoothly if the user is willing to wait for 9 minutes of start time, or even a 4.5 minute initial wait plus a middle intermission restroom break of another 4.5 minutes, instead of not being able to see it in 4K at all.

I have a very annoying problem. Using HandBrake I have been able to rip and hereafter metatag all the family's 1500 movies for our iTunes library.
Once, I couldn't find the movie I was looking for, even though I knew it was tagged and stored. I also knew that it has been watched before through the Apple TV.
I went to our iTunes Application and saw that only 814 movies were shown. (That's what it said in the bottom) I got afraid that all my movies were gone, but after looking in the files folder, I realized that all movies actually still existed. I tried to import some of the movies again and iTunes actually showed them, but then some of the existing movies disappeared. Still only 814 movies.
My question is: Does iTunes have a limit for the amount of movies able to list in the application? I know it can't be about RAM and HDD since there is about 1,5 TB HDD left and the computer has 16 GB RAM..
I also tried to update the iTunes version, but it didn't seem to work.. Any suggestions?
**EDIT:**
Just to inform you.. I am able to continue importing music and tv-shows without problems.
