So far I have found the best way to save a webpage with many pictures as a PDF file is to use Safari, switch to **reader mode** then "export as pdf", much better than using Chrome and **print** to "Save as pdf", which doesn't work well.
But it does not always work. If a web page contains too many pictures, the pdf exported by Safari will contain some empty spaces, which should be the pictures on the webpage. But it still works better than exported by Chome. I also tried Edge and Firefox, basically the same as Chrome.
Using the page https://mspoweruser.com/best-midjourney-prompts/ as an example you can clearly see the result.
So it there any way to fix those empty spaces ?

Since yesterday, I'm having a problem with auto update from Opera. Until yesterday I had no problem.
I'm in OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5, and the last supported version is Opera 37.0.2178.54. Now it automatically updates to 48.0.2685.39 and after I close Opera I cannot open Opera again because it tells me “This version is not supported, you need 10.9”.
In version 37, there is no preference setting to turn off autoupdate - you get it whether you want it or not.
How can I stop Opera from auto updating? I want to be in version 37, which is supported in my operating system.

I would like to completely disable Geolocation (not even get a prompt to be asked to allow it) on Opera 65 on the Mac.
I found this document on the Opera website which says
> Turning off geolocation
>
You can reject Google Location Services’ terms and conditions. Alternatively, go to Settings (Preferences on Mac) > Websites > Location, and uncheck Allow websites to request my physical location.
I found several other articles on the web with essentially the same instructions. However, in Opera 65, there is no "Websites" setting header. The only relevant setting I can find is Preferences > Advanced > Site Settings > Location where the only global option I have is "Ask before accessing (recommended)". If I disable that option, then all websites get geolocation data if they want it, without any prompting.
I want to block all requests, or at least go back to the state before I accepted Google Location Services’ terms and conditions. Is that possible?

I guess the post title is pretty explicit, but I add two little GIFs links to illustrate the problem I'm encountering.
This is quite annoying since it causes visual disruptance.
On Safari, Firefox or Chrome, the top menu bar is overlapping the software window, without resizing it. I should note that I also encountered this issue on the new Edge Dev (Chromium), so I suspect it might be a Chromium issue and I really wonder what causes this because on a friend's MacBook Pro, it doesn't happen.
**Resize behavior (Opera / Edge chromium) :**
" class="img-fluid rounded" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto; margin: 10px 0;" loading="lazy">
**Expected behavior (Firefox / Safari / Chrome...) :**
" class="img-fluid rounded" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto; margin: 10px 0;" loading="lazy">
Does anyone have an idea on this ?

I don't mind that the versions of browsers I can install on this Mac OS X system are not secure anymore... I will not use it that much... I can still use Safari...
The problem is I don't know which versions of Opera and Firefox I can install...
For example, I installed the newest Opera and now it says :

Currently I am on OSX 10.8.5, I don't want to upgrade for multiple reasons.
Yesterday out of the blue, the OS stops running after rebooting the machine and tells me I cannot use Opera anymore unless I update to OSX 10.9
I started by downloading older versions of Opera (Currently on 42, downloaded each version back to 37) and in every download get the same install OS X 10.9 message.
Any idea anybody? Thanks for the support.
**Note**: Upgrading to a later version of macOS is not an option in this case - please do not suggest this as a solution.

I've recently upgraded my MacBook Pro from 10.8.5 to 10.10.5 and
a) I want to install an older version of Opera (version 40)
b) I want to eliminate the auto update issue.
Issues:
1. I tried downgrading Opera, but anytime I install an older version it autoupdates to the latest version without my consent.
2. I tried with an old .dmg I had saved, however the OSX gives me this message when I click on it:
If I let the system complete the verification I end up with the latest version of Opera. If I switch off the internet the process stops and I can't install a simple .dmg (it's as if OSX/Apple demands users to install only the software they expect/approve of).
Any solution please?

Ideas?

Unfortunately I was using Opera (V30) in private browsing mode.
I've tried looking at my DNS cache - but not exactly sure how to read it. (I can't see the URLs in the text)
I've also looked at my router logs but can only find info like this:
May 9 00:39:27> PPPD Successfully Launched
May 9 00:39:32> pppd 2.4.3 started by root, uid 0
Just to let you know - I'm not trying to snoop on anyone, really just want to recover the pages I had open!

I got these ugly controls in Mountain Lion when I bought my MacBook Pro with Retina display. After upgrading to Mavericks the problems still persist.
1. Blurry drop-down list and other old-fashioned low-definition controls are everywhere (even in Apple apps such as iTunes);
2. In Microsoft Office 2011, the controls used are different from what I see in screenshots on the web (with stripes in background, most noticeably), and I don't get the full-screen toggle button on the top right corner;
3. In Firefox and Opera the controls are even broken, apart from being old. When I scroll the page the scrollbar gets partially stuck (see the picture).
4. In Adobe Acrobat XI the tools on the right do not expand. If I make them expand by clicking the arrow and restarting Acrobat, the tools cannot be applied onto the content and soon the app loses response.
I am sure that these apps run in Retina resolution. But why (and how) do they get the old controls? Can I make them use the modern controls? I don't remember installing anything to change the look-and-feel of the system, but what might have I installed to produce such a situation?

How can I prevent Opera from closing the window if the last tab gets closed?
I've set Opera to **allow empty workspace** which should not close the window when the last tab is closed. As closing the window in MacOS doesn't close the application, as does in Windows, maybe this configuration is ignored in MacOS, is it?
