I am using Go Launcher Ex (or go launcher Z), german version, on my sgs5 and since the update last night (today is the first of march) I cannot access it anymore.
As soon as I press the home button or access it through google play --> open a message appears in the taskbar, saying that an unexpected error happened. Clicking on this message allows me to send a log to the Dev team, which I did.
But I hope that maybe this website is faster in answering because it's now been over 12 hours without any un-automated response. I understand that it's difficult to manage an app with so many users, but with SUCH a bug...
Anyways, I hope you have Ideas what I can do. I tried:
- clearing Go Launchers Cache
- stopping Go Launcher and restarting it by pressing home again
- search for the last stable apk on google, which I didn't find (also, the version displayed in the app details is Go Launcher Z version 1.0.0 ...)
I did not try to restart the phone because in that case, I might not have access to google play anymore which I use right now to start the apps I need to.
EDIT: There is an update available, but it only fixed the Problem for me until I rebooted - now nothing works anymore
Also, uninstalling go launcher through adb didn't help at all for me
EDIT 2: Some people reported in the go Launcher comments in play store that they could start the phone in safe mode and reinstall go launcher. (safe mode is usually pressing volume down while booting) Other people found that reinstalling brought the same error but at least the uninstall worked. For me, uninstalling didn't help but maybe it'll work for you
EDIT 3: after a not working update, they finally created a working update. I used a hard reset to fix the boot problem but I guess using Safe mode to reinstall Go Launcher should work too (Volume down and booting)

Is there a way to use Go Launcher icons in Folder Organizer?

I'm specifically interested in using with Folder Organizer.

I updated my Motorola RAZR to ICS lately, and was using the Go Launcher Ex launcher, and when I tried to select a widget, it popped up a "Choose Widget" dialog that showed the icons, but the text was white on white background. I can see them if I select them, but not otherwise.
At first I thought this was a problem with Go Launcher Ex, so I installed the Apex launcher instead, and it's choose widget dialog shows the same white on white text again (see below).
I've tried changing Go Launcher Ex and Apex themes, but still have the issue so I began wondering if it was an issue with the underlying color palettes. I've seen a few posts about this being an issue with the "Light Theme", and they suggest choosing a different theme when you create the alert dialog. However, I'm just a user, not a developer, so I'm wondering the following:
1) Is this just a bug in Go Launcher Ex and Apex Launchers respectively, and I should complain to both of them?
or
2) Is there something goofed up with the color palette of my phone's light theme and I can tweak it?
Thanks in advance...

I have installed GO Launcher and GO Locker. Now, when I updated them, they got an error.
The problem is that, nothing shows up when I press unlock button (I have Nexus S). So, there's nothing I can do with the phone. There's no display at all. I know the phone is running in the background. I get the tone when I get a message.
I tried to call my phone hoping it'd get unlocked for answering that call. It did get unlocked, but when I answered the call, it got locked again. No display again. But, when the phone was still ringing, I got a Force Close dialog for GO Launcher EX ( not for GO Locker ).
I restarted the phone (removed the battery). When the phone started, it was locked (using the default Android locker). When I try to unlock it, the screen doesn't work.
Now, I am unable to use my phone. The first thing that I'd like to do is change the launcher without starting the phone itself. Is that possible?
Or do I have to restore the factory settings? If I can restore factory settings, I must be able to do so without starting the phone? Can we do that? In Nokia, we can do that by pressing some key combination and restarting the phone. Does that apply here too?

When I download the Go Launcher Ex App from the play store, it downloads okay but shows "Insufficient memory"(The internal memory) when it tries to install it. :/
It is a 6 or 7Mb app, where as my internal storage has 25Mb free and the SDCard has almost 1Gb free space. I don't get what the problem is.
My Android version is 2.3.6 if that helps.
Would really appreciate it if someone helped me. :)

I am seeing a Christmas animation on my mobile screen from 25th Dec 2012. I have no idea how did it come to my mobile. Because I rarely use internet on my mobile. And I used Internet last time at least 2-3 months before.
It automatically appears after some mins and eats my battery. I have checked all running and installed application. But none of them giving me any clue about this animation.
I am doubtful that this is the animation from Go launcher or Go SMS. but not confirmed.
I also have scanned my mob for spyware and antivirus. But nothing found.

I want to switch from ADW.Launcher to GO Launcher Ex but want to maintain my desktop layouts and widgets. Is there any way to move or copy widgets from one launcher to the other so that they have the same configuration?
I've found that my Circle Launcher widgets could be copied easily as they have their own configuration backup and restore mechanism, so I could back a widget's config up in ADW.Launcher then simply add a new widget in GO Launcher Ex and restore the configuration and the widget was just as it was in the other launcher. Unfortunately other widgets don't provide a nice mechanism like this.
