Is the functionality still available under the hood? For example, can I still change the system font? (Without root access, as I couldn't find any way to root it without going through the official "unlock > wipe" sequence.)

In this new installation I am missing the notification sounds I used before (namely something like "cm-chime" and "cm-prechime"). How can I get them back? 1. Is there a repository on the internet, where I could download them? 2. Where in the ClockworkMod backup I made before wiping are the notification sounds stored?

I have the problem of Substratum themes not applying on my Nexus 6P using Dirty Unicorns 12.1 (latest version). I can choose an installed theme in Substratum, choose all the settings I want, and hit compile - that's all going well. Substratum tells me it compiled everything correctly, then, when applying, it restarts the SystemUI and boom - nothing. Nothing has changed and when I check back in the Substratum app, it neither lists the theme as compiled nor as applied. This happens for all themes, I've tried a dozen or two. It's extremely sad, as themability is *the* reason for me owning an Android device with custom ROM. Info about DU: AFAIK, DU 12.1 has native built-in support for OMS.

My device: Huawei Mate 10 Lite ROM: RNE-L21C432B130. Recovery: TWRP. Rooted phone. I accidentally uninstalled the Themes app (the theme setter, not the theme downloader). The app was a Huawei's version and was installed as a system app. I don't have a Huawei account and haven't tried pursuing the "update and get it from Huawei" way. I would prefer this as a last resort solution (IF that is a possible solution). I have looked everywhere online for a working Theme app's apk installer but to no success. Most versions don't get installed. Some give errors when installed with TWRP, some get installed but crash on launch. Is there a "universal" Themes app that works fine with most phones? If no, how or where do I get and install the Huawei's Themes app on my phone?

**Can we toggle between light and dark theme in Maps?** Maps has shown a message after a new update asking to choose between dark and light theme . After selection (dark, which was illegibly dark under daylight and especially sunlight, or maybe it's my presbyopia) the way to switch out of that without changing the whole system theme was to uninstall (downgrade) the app, update it and then chose the light theme when aforementioned message popped up again. My system theme is dark, and I want it that way, but I don't want dark for Maps, except maybe when it's really dark *outside*. Maps 10.62.1 Android 10

The device is running android pie and i know that my build version is PPR1.180610.011 and its already currently running AOSP, however its the ALPS variation (which i think is mediatek's version (closed source) of AOSP where they just augment the telephony based apps so it works with their HALs, while the android UI remains vanilla). I want to modify the theming/ui parts of android (which im sure most of it resides in (system\system\framework\framework-res.apk) as shown in https://prnt.sc/vfn6r3 However as mentioned above there are some proprietary binaries shown here https://prnt.sc/vfn85h 1. Is it possible to build AOSP for my device (after making my desired theming enhancements) and then just migrate the proprietary binaries into their correct directories? 2. Or should i be looking at decompiling the framework-res.apk and recompiling it and then repacking the system img file? P.S the bootloader is unlocked and i already have access to the unpacked partition img files p.s installing xposed or any other theme modifying software is not an option as i dont have a custom recovery such as TWRP

I have a rooted oneplus 3t phone running Android 9 on a Lineage OS that I wish to style after the Fallout game franchise. I have many details figured out, except that the status bar color only seems to have the option of black or white. I would like the status bar icon colors to be green. This would especially be helpful as I've noticed that these white icons burn into the screen when a phone is old enough. I first tried GravityBox which took forever to install only to find that they removed the status bar color tweaking features out of respect for other android releases that gave us this option by some other means... but Pie took them back. I also tried Substrathum which gives an error page saying "Could not fall back to rooted mode. There are no other theme engines able to be utilized on this device at this current time." I found some sources which claimed to have it working on Pie, but their instructions were unclear or not specifically useful for getting past this error in Pie. Can anyone help?

I always used to have a dark or black Quick Settings (the swipe down menu) but since Android , it's white. And I can't find out how to change it. Invert Colors is not an option, as that messes up *all* colors on my phone whereas I only want to change the Quick Settings. When searching on this problem I did find several apps (some of which even require root) to change the theme, but I can't imagine something so trivial really requires a custom app or even root. Using Oreo 8.1 stock Android with all latest updates, no root. ------- Upon further searching, I found a partial solution: apparently if you set a "dark" wallpaper for your Home screen, it will automatically show the Quick Settings menu in dark instead of white. Beats me why this can't just be customised manually, but for your reference: for example with the wallpaper below, I get a dark Quick Settings menu on Oreo 8.1 instead of white.
<img src=" class="img-fluid rounded" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto; margin: 10px 0;" loading="lazy"> No clue what the criteria may be for a wallpaper to be "dark enough". If there is a definitive solution I'd still love to find out!
