I installed AdwLauncher. In the beginning it worked well. But now, I can't delete the app icons from the desktop. The situation is that when I longpress the desktop, the list doesn't show up so that I can't add shortcuts, apps or widget to the desktop. Also, when I longpress the app icon on the desktop, list doesn't show up so that I can't remove, delete or edit the icon. My cellular is HTC Desire. Is this a bug problem or I just set up in a wrong way? Restarting the phone didn't help. I used "home switch" to change the launcher back to HTC sense, then changed back to ADW but it still remains the same.

Updating ADW Launcher for Cyanogenmod 7
I'm running Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 Sholes on Motorola Droid with the ADW Launcher. The free version on the Market is an updated version of the one in my system's mod. Is there anyway to update it in the mod itself, instead of having to download it and have them be two separate apps?

I am trying to cerate a simple icon on my Android tablet to launch, say, the browser, with a specific URL. Under Windows, this is simply creating a shortcut. Under Ubuntu, this is just creating a .desktop file with a couple of parameters, including the actual command line to execute. But I cannot seemto be able to do this under Android, and although I don't mind command line on a desktop computer, this is not a viable option under Android. Can this be done with the stock launcher that comes with Android, or should I use a special one. I registered a couple of those.

Using ADWLauncher, you can lock the desktop. Extremely useful, till the password is forgotten. I have a Nexus 4. Any solution to crack the password?

ADW Launcher crashing on home screen
I installed the wrong theme for ADW and now it crashes every time the home screen displays. Since the home screen keeps crashing, I can't seem to reach the settings pannel to disable the stupid theme. I've also tried "Safe Mode" but so far it doesn't help.

I installed **ADW.Launcher** on my Galaxy S running Froyo (2.2) to check it out. When it was installed, **every time I pressed the 'home' button, I got a choice which launcher to start**. In the end I found this irritating, I choose the default installed one, and checked the 'use as default' check box. All fine, but now, I can't seem to be able to start the ADW.Launcher any more. No icon in my application list and none on my home screens. **How do I start ADW.Launcher again** ( without re-installing it ). I verified that it is still installed on my device.

Why is this happening and / or how can I solve it?

I want to switch from ADW.Launcher to GO Launcher Ex but want to maintain my desktop layouts and widgets. Is there any way to move or copy widgets from one launcher to the other so that they have the same configuration? I've found that my Circle Launcher widgets could be copied easily as they have their own configuration backup and restore mechanism, so I could back a widget's config up in ADW.Launcher then simply add a new widget in GO Launcher Ex and restore the configuration and the widget was just as it was in the other launcher. Unfortunately other widgets don't provide a nice mechanism like this.

I use the standard ADW Launcher that ships with CyanogenMod 7 and have noticed a problem with the dockbar. **NOTE this is the "hidden dockbar" you can reveal with a swipe, not the normal Android dock (LAB/RAB).** There is enough space for 6 icons on my dockbar but I can only add 4 before they start flowing off-screen to the right. In other words positions 1 through 4 have icons but positions 5 and 6 can't be used (first screenshot). Dragging a new icon onto them places it at position 7, which can only be revealed by scrolling the dockbar sideways (second screenshot). It's as if ADW thinks there are icons at 5 and 6 already but there aren't. I have tried using Reset ADW in the settings but while it reset many ADW features it did not reset the dockbar, or solve the problem. There was a time when only position 5 was locked as blank and position 6 held an icon, but in dragging icons around to try an get one to go into position 5, position 6also became locked as blank. enter image description here enter image description here

I guess that one way would be to make a small app whose only job would be to launch TB's schedule by some kind of intent, but I couldn't find any information on intents provided by TB, and also making an app for such a simple task seems an overkill. I am using CyanogenMod 7 (so it's rooted and so on...) and TB Pro.

I have CM7 installed, and am using ADWLauncher which comes pre-installed. I know how to configure a "default" home screen, so that when I'm in ADWLauncher already, pressing "home" brings me to the default screen. But when I'm in another application, pressing "home" takes me to the most recently viewed screen, and an additional tap of "home" is required to then move to the default screen. What I want to do is be able to press "home" from ANY application and go STRAIGHT to the default screen, regardless of what my last viewed screen was. Is this possible? Thanks!

Is it just me, or do none of the HTC widgets work with ADW Launcher, or is it that the HTC widgets will only work with the HTC home screen? Alternatively, is there a decent clock app that displays digital time, and maybe weather too?
