Phone: Chrome for Android
User Agent String (that I want to change): Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 10; SM-G960U) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/103.0.0.0 Mobile Safari/537.36

Which user-agent string is most optimal for use in ADM or similar download management applications?

I thoroughly comprehend **what** a user-agent string is, and **how** to spoof/parse them. What I can't seem to find in the endless sea of search results that all speak about the same two aforementioned points is: **which** should I use? For my use-case, it'd be specific to using [Advanced Download Manager & Torrent downloader (ADM)](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm) on an Android device for downloading videos. Which — if any — would be optimal in terms of file accessibility, speed, stability, etc? Which should be avoided in the practical sense? I understand this is likely dependent upon the web developer's end, but in a more general sense I'm wondering if the UA has any inherent impact to these factors, if all else remains the same?
EDIT: to clarify, from my observations the typical use cases seem qualitative — whether a particular file is served or not, i.e.,
true|false
. I'm wanting to confirm there are no other functional impacts from the user's standpoint aside from whether a file is made available or not (disregarding build variants based on UA, so assuming for example's sake that they are identical).

**Is there any browser (or its add-on) running on Android 4.0 where I can tweak UserAgent string?**
I would like to use older Android device to view Microsoft To-Do list in a browser. But they obviously have Android version check, because they display only old OWA (Outlook Web Access) interface.
Apps already tested:
* Samsung Internet - seeing the old Outlook UI (also in desktop mode)
* UC Browser - this app is unable to start
* Opera Mini - seeing the old Outlook UI

I am constantly annoyed by websites that force me into the (often terrible) mobile version of the site and provide no way to switch to the full version. I know Dolphin for example allows changing the user agent string of the browser to trick websites into delivering the full site, but I don't want to switch. Is there a way to do this with the stock browser? I'm open to hacks, and I have a Galaxy S Vibrant running 2.2 (Nero v5 with TouchWiz).

*Question*: Is there a way to spoof your user-agent header in Firefox for Android?
*Explanation*: The thing that's kept me using Dolphin for Android for the longest time is the fact that it can spoof your user-agent header to quickly and easily avoid the mobile atrocities some people develop for their sites, still giving me the option to navigate there manually if I prefer it. I don't see this option for the latest release of Firefox for Android.
It seems to load much faster and I prefer the interface to all other browsers I've tried on Android, but that feature is the only thing making me keep dolphin on my phone. Am I missing it, is there an extension that allows it, maybe an option in the phone system, or is this just not in the cards for FF on Android? If not, I'll redirect this to the Mozilla devs as a feature request, but I figured I'd come here first to see if I'm just missing an option to do it.

Some webpages **forces mobile version even I change user-agent**.
I changed user-agent in built-in browser and "Dolphin Browser HD",
I am checking it on page www.user-agent-string.info
Main problem is engadget.com, always in mobile version.
I tried to clean cookies, restart browsers etc.
This is my results:
1. in built-in browser, user-agent - "desktop"
- (allegro.pl ) **doesn't work**, redirects to mobile version
2. in "Dolphin Browser HD", user-agent - "desktop"
- (NSFW: redtube.com) **doesn't work**, redirects to mobile version
- (allegro.pl) works fine
3. in "Dolphin Browser HD", user-agent - "IPad"
- (engadget.com ) **doesn't work**, redirects to mobile version
- (allegro.pl) works fine
- (NSFW: redtube.com) works fine
4. in "Dolphin Browser HD", user-agent - "custom": *Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1*
- (engadget.com]) **doesn't work**, redirects to mobile version
- (NSFW: redtube.com) **doesn't work**, redirects to mobile version
- (allegro.pl) works fine
Maybe this pages using "adobe flash" user-agent detection ?
(I'am using Asus Transformer TF101, Android 3.2.1, Adobe Flash Player 11)

Galaxy S5 stock browser user agent

does the S5 browser really not identify itself as running on an android device? Might this be the result of some custom setting (which I'm told never happened)? How else can I identify the S5 browser as being a mobile device?

For certain websites on my Nexus 5 running stock Android 5.1, I would like to always display the desktop version instead of the mobile version.
My current workflow is as follows to navigate to a desktop version of a frequently-visited website:
1. Open Chrome bookmark from a Bookmark widget
2. Wait for Chrome to begin to load the mobile version of the website
3. Check the "Request desktop site" option in the Chrome menu
4. Wait for Chrome to load the desktop version of the website.
I'm aware of [this XDA thread](http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1811101) that shares how to configure Chrome to always request the desktop site. Is there a way for to set up a bookmark so only that bookmark loads the desktop site?

Dolphin Browser can be configured to act as one of a range of User Agents (Android, (full) Desktop, other phones...). But this is for every site visited until you want to change the settings to some other agent (browser type).
Some sites have better mobile versions than others.
I wondered if there is a feature/plugin on this or another Android browser to set the Agent individually for a range certain sites, e.g.:
- facebook.com (full Desktop - because mobile edition is limited)
- nationalrail.co.uk (Android, quicker than Desktop and easier to manage)
etc.
This would then 'trick' the website to load the site in a version as specified.
