So I've noticed that for both the default browser and for the Dolphin HD browser, all the history entries get deleted when you go beyond a certain number of pages visited. Does anyone know how I can prevent this from happening? I often do like to look at what I visited in the far past.

I have Android and iOS devices, so I use Dolphin's browser for the bookmark sync. Is there any way I can get my Chrome bookmarks to sync into my Dolphin bookmarks at least once? I'm aware of Chrome to Phone, etc. but so far all solutions I see either keep my bookmarks in a separate app (useless for Dolphin Sync) or they only copy them to the default Android browser which I don't use. My phone's Android 2.3.3, so I can't use Chrome for Android yet.

If I point my browser (Doplhin browser) to http://maps.google.com it automatically opens the Google Maps app. Is there a way to avoid this and keep using the site through the browser? If it matters, I'm on Android Lollipop on Sony Xperia Z3 compact.

Some webpages **forces mobile version even I change user-agent**. I changed user-agent in built-in browser and "Dolphin Browser HD", I am checking it on page www.user-agent-string.info Main problem is engadget.com, always in mobile version. Before the Sonar changes, I could move the gesture button by long-pressing it and dragging it to a different corner. Now long pressing brings up a menu to use a gesture or use Sonar. How can I move the gesture button to a different corner?

I want to open a folder of about 20 bookmarks in a web browser with one click. So far I have not found any browser or any addon that will do this, but maybe I am overlooking something obvious. An alternative option is a very good speeddial-type app that will help me track which which bookmark was opened last so I can manually work through a list of 20+ bookmarks. The problems I am trying to solve are: 1. make it convenient to open many bookmarks at once. 2. if I have to open them one at a time, provide a way for me to keep track of which bookmarks have already been opened in this session so I can manually open the next one as I go through the large list of bookmarks. I have already tried Firefox sync, Dolphin Connect, XMarks and several other solutions and none of them do what I need.

In Dolphin I had set "BPS player" to be the default video player when I selected the "Open in other apps" option in the dolphin Player. Now I want to change the default video player again but when I choose "Open in other apps" it just opens the BPS player! I tried to "clear defaults" on both apps but it didn't work. Do I have to uninstall Dolphin or BPS player? Help, searched all over google but didn't find anything.

At some point in the recent past, my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S4) started to display several large swaths of Unicode codepoints as emoji characters--including several that are used for other things, like U+2609, the astronomical symbol for the sun, which is now displayed as a little image of a sun. How can I get rid of these? Everything I find on google is either about how to disable the emoji *keyboard*, or about how to *enable* emoji; what I want is a simple, device-wide system to get rid of emoji altogether and replace them with the symbols that the codepoints are meant to represent. If there isn't any way to do this device-wide, is there at least a way to do it for the Dolphin browser?

I am playing a game which is built on html5, there are sounds and work perfectly on desktop. But when I tried to open in dolphin, there is no sound, and disabling the jetpack option gives a JavaScript error even though js is enabled.

On my desktop Firefox I can view the list of servers any given web page accesses either by checking with Firebug or by pressing "Ctrl-i" Page Info > Media. Out of the two Firebug is of course much better, it gives a detailed list in the Network panel. How would I do something similar on android? I don't mind using another browser either, so far I haven't found anything similar on Dolphin or Firefox. What I'm really after is getting a list of ad servers for my frequently viewed web pages so that I can block them (I rooted my phone so I can edit /etc/hosts). So if I need to use another browser is not a problem, I'd just use it once, get a list of ad servers, block them, and then go back to Dolphin (which is what I use normally). It just seems odd that even though this feature is present in all desktop browsers it is completely missing in android browsers.

I'm using Adobe Flash player with Dolphin browser on my HTC One M8 which is working great, since I have Pandora One and I get the higher stream quality on the desktop site (192kbps instead of 64kbps), but the problem is that if I leave Dolphin or lock my phone screen, etc., then Flash player stops. Any way to allow Flash to play in the background?

Can the Dolphin browser be configured so that the toolbar doesnt scroll along with web pages? As you scroll down a web page the browser toolbar scrolls off the screen. Is there a means of fixing its position?

I am running Andrond 2.2 on HTC Desire. I was using Dolphin HD til recently. All was well until I upgraded the browser to the current version, which is 10.2.3. It says previous Dolphin Browser HD in brackets. Since then, the long press doesn't work like it used to. The menu just has select text, find on page, and close tab. I can't open links in new tabs. I am finding it extremely hard to browse. The stock browser is worse. Reinstalling didn't help. What is wrong? How to fix this?

I have loaded the Dolphin browser on my HTC Android phone. Each time I open my bookmark it loads a new tab in the browser which means I have many running and I have to go in and close the tabs. Does anyone know how to make it use an existing tab of the browser? I don't want the browser to have so many tabs open. I realise this will mean if I have TWO apps the previous will show then open the bookmark. Alternatively, is it possible to have Dolphin close my tabs when the Home button is pushed?

The answer to how to download PDFs leads to a link describing that Dolphin mini uses google docs for opening pdf and other documents . From a programmers perspective this is a nice solution - the content is just passed to a web-service that displays the content on the browser. But what if you do not like Google to read your pdfs at all? What if you want to download a pdf, but the links to do so is generated so you can not press longer on it to start a download instead? So as a follow up this question arises: How can I completely disable that google-docs-feature in Dolphin Mini?

In what sense is Mini simple? What am I missing out on if I use Mini instead of HD?

It seems to be a relatively new feature that pdf files are shown directly in the browser instead of downloading them. How can I download them instead?

We are using a web app (built for desktop) in Android tablet (Motorola ET1). Issue is that android soft keyboard is popping up whenever focus goes to a text box. On page load, focus is set to the text box but keyboard is not popping on page load. Users scan input data using tablet's scanner into this text box, we take scanned input and submit to the server. If the transaction is successful, text box gets cleared and focus is set in this text box to scan next input. when focus is set this time, android keyboard is popping up. I tried using blur to prevent keyboard popup, it prevents keyboard from popping up but focus is not in that text box so user cannot scan the input data. As an option, I installed null keyboard on Android tablet and provided jquery keyboard (https://github.com/Mottie/Keyboard/wiki) to enter input data if they want to enter data manually. This option seems to work technically but this shuts off the keyboard for entire tablet and users have other apps on the tablet so they are not happy with this solution. We are using dolphin browser in this tablet. Dolphin has cordova plugin to get an access to device's native functions. But I don't see anything related to keyboard. Also I am not finding any reference in HTML5 documentation also. Can you please suggest if there is any solution to this ? Please note that our application is a standard webapp and not built as Android app. Thanks.
