I am aware that Google will sync bookmarks between Chrome on a desktop and Chrome on Android via my Google account. I do **not** want to do that, because I want to avoid leaving that digital trail.
I see a number of apps on the Google Play app store, but none seems to be doing just import and nothing else.

I want to have a bookmark shortcut on my Home screen to launch a web app I use regularly. The only way I found to achieve this is using the **Add to Home screen** from the Chrome browser menu when I'm on the site. However, this does not let me edit the actual URL the bookmark will point to.
This is a problem because said web app automatically appends the current date to the end of the URL when it's loaded. When I add the shortcut to the Home screen, the link will then actually open the app to display data from the day on which I created the shortcut. I'll always have to open the date picker and navigate to the current date to start using the app.
I'd like to edit the Home screen bookmark shortcut's URL to remove the date added to its end, so it always opens to the current day. Can I achieve this without third-party software?
I'm using an unrooted Sony Xperia Z5 Compact running Android 6.0.1.
* Some sources say to create a standard bookmark in Chrome, where the URL can be edited, then long-press it in the bookmarks manager and choose to add it to the home screen from the context menu. This context menu entry does not appear to exist anymore in current versions of Chrome.
* Some sources say to look for a Bookmarks widget that allows to choose a Chrome bookmark to display. This widget doesn't appear to exist anymore in Android 6. The only bookmarks widget I have displays the entire bookmarks folder.
* The website in question loads too quickly for me to be able to cancel before the URL is modified. I tried many times.

Of course Windows is something else entirely, but I could just go to Desktop folder and copy everything *.lnk, right? Thing is, now I'm migrating phones. I already migrated all apps I wanted to keep. I feel there should be an equivalent easy way to do this, even without an app. Is there?

This is not the same thing as adding a shortcut to the Android devices home screen as indicated by: https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/56704/can-i-make-a-google-doc-shared-with-me-more-accessible-on-my-android-device?r=SearchResults
Google is a large company. When it creates apps for Android, it needs to be on parody with the desktop browser unless there are specific technical reasons why that's not possible, and sometimes it is not possible, but not in this particular situation for sure.

(PS: I'd rather not have to revert to Firefox's "sync"-feature for various reasons... anyway, it's obvious that "sync" would work, but that's not the question here...)

EDIT:
- My phone(s) aren't rooted.
- Neither a 3rd-party app, nor a cloud-based solution is what I'm interested in.

Every time I try to bookmark a page in Yandex, it first demands I sign in and then I have to click on a link (a second click) in order for it to save the bookmark.
I've lost a fair amount of bookmarked pages that were never bookmarked because I didn't click the second time, unlike other browsers which don't have this second prompt.
I will never create a Yandex account, so I need a way to disable this and bookmark without asking for sign-in first.
How can I disable this popup?

I'm aware of Chrome to Phone, etc. but so far all solutions I see either keep my bookmarks in a separate app (useless for Dolphin Sync) or they only copy them to the default Android browser which I don't use.
My phone's Android 2.3.3, so I can't use Chrome for Android yet.

On my Android phone, how can a user add a bookmarklet to my Chrome bookmarks, *without needing to use another device, and without copying and pasting?*
I have a bookmarklet on my website that I want *other people* to add to their bookmarks, so I'm looking for a straightforward method.
Bookmarklets are bookmarks, but of which contain Javascript code instead of a regular web link.
Bookmarklets can be added to Chrome on the PC very easily in many ways.
- However, on Android, if the bookmarklet is displayed as a link on a
page, it cannot be "dragged to the bookmark bar" as with a PC.
- If I try to open it in a new tab, the address bar will not contain the
Javascript, so the user can't use the bookmark button.
- Tapping the link to the bookmarklet will not put the code in the address bar either.
- The only way I've been able to add a bookmarklet on my
phone has been to tap and hold on the link, then tap "Copy link
address", then edit a *pre-existing* bookmark's link and pasting in
the bookmarklet code, then renaming said bookmark. But that's a pain, and trying to explain it to non tech savy folks isn't happening.
Is there a more simple method?
Note that I have a particular bookmarklet that even when added on my PC, does NOT sync to my Phone's bookmarks. I believe it may be due to the length (It's over 9000 characters!). This is why I need an easy method for users to save this bookmarklet.

I use a local town public transport service and it also offers an SMS ticket service that I find pretty easy to use. One thing I dislike about it is remembering every single code for particular routes (the codes are simple unless I'm on the street). I would like to bookmark it somehow and register in my (web browser?) bookmarks or my contacts. [RFC 5724](https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc5724) suggests a special SMS URI that generally is:
sms:$SERVICE_PHONE_NUMBER?body=$TICKET_REQUEST_CODE
e.g., sms:1234?body=5678
in my case. I was trying to add such a bookmark in Google Chrome hoping to add a bookmark widget to the home screen, but Chrome interprets it as an HTTP URI trying to open a web site. I was also trying to add the bookmark to Google Contacts as a special "web site" field for the dedicated contact, but it didn't work either as if it were an HTTP URI.
My question is, is it possible to bookmark an sms:
scheme URL on Android so I could use predefined SMS messages with predefined recipients and predefined text bodies?
If it's worth noting, I use QKSMS. It seems to [declare](https://github.com/moezbhatti/qksms/blob/35ccd053749d471b4e9aec52dfd3f7d6207ab7bf/presentation/src/main/AndroidManifest.xml#L72) sms
and other protocols intent filtering, but for whatever reason it does not work for me.
----
Edit 1.
As a test workaround I've just created a simple HTML page, and it seems to work:
5678
Saving the page to the device and adding a shortcut to the file on the home screen seems to do what I want very and very closely, and clicking the link opens QKSMS with proper recipient and text body. I only don't really like the idea of having a static HTML file on my device because it may be hard to maintain in case of necessity. So it turns out that Google products do not work well here?

(Yes, 'this is a question to ask at mozilla support'... which requires a Firefox account.)
Alternately, is there any browser that allows this manually, exported to some .txt or other file?
Edit: trying to install xBrowserSync, but it won't. I have a few versions, but each has this problem.

I scanned each at VirusTotal first, of course.
