On Android 11, I noticed the list of "Previously connected devices" does not show the latest successfully connected device. That said, when I want to manually force a Bluetooth connection to a specific device, I always need to click on "See all" then browse and try to find the bluetooth device. My list has around ~25 entries as today and is tedious to search. I would like to know if it's possible to have this list somehow sorted from the most recently connected to the older one. Do you know any trick for doing that? Bluetooth settings

Google will randomly convert any 7 digit number into a clickable link summoning your phone app, how do you turn that off?

It's a nightmare for communicating technical and scientific information. There is no searchable term for even finding this feature name, settings or search engine. Is there literally no way to turn this off?

I would like to know whether Google Assistant can interact with apps while they're open, and whether you could kindly provide me with since examples. The rationale for my question follows: I was wondering whether Android supports making Google Assistant interact with apps while they're open. I know Google Assistant interfaces to apps which it can open by calling them with parameters. For example if I tell it "call Joe on WhatsApp" it opens WhatsApp and then immediately WhatsApp calls Joe. However, while WhatsApp is open, I can open Google Assistant to overlay, but then I cannot tell it, after the call has been answered, "switch call to video". This would be useful. What I would like to know, is whether this functionality is available in the Google Assistant API, and, if so, why WhatsApp hasn't implemented the interface. If not, it could be quite useful, because that way a blind person could easily make a call on someone's phone, even someone else's phone, found in the house, and if a child next to the blind person wanted to call their mother and switch to video after the call and the child was too small then the blind person, or person who accidentally lost their vision temporarily due to an accident, health condition, or other, could easily do that. Then the mother could intervene and do what was needed to offer her presence, and, if needed, her help. I feel that this would be an important accessibility feature that Google and WhatsApp could implement and add support for together. The phone the blind person normally uses with TalkBack could break or run out of battery. Or it may be that another adult in the house in charge faints and the blind person realizes this and needs to take over and needs to use the other person's phone as trained and as fast as possible, and may not want to have to go through activating TalkBack which may not have been configured on the other phone or whose speech may confuse the child at hand, making them think the phone is doing things they do not want the phone to do, which could cause the child to grab the phone from the blind person and remain helpless, unable to make the call or do what they need to do on the phone. I wonder whether Google will implement the ability for users to interact with apps via Google Assistant while those apps are open, rather than just using Google Assistant for opening those apps, in the near future. Other apps could also benefit from interfacing with Google Assistant in this way in countless manners. For instance a music app could let the user change the music played from the assistant. A camera app could allow the user to take a picture by simply telling the assistant after it was opened. YouTube could play the cartoon the assistant told it to after the user opened YouTube from the assistant. These are all perfectly reasonable and extremely useful functions which are significant improvements from a usability perspective for a blind user who has to deal with an impatient child who wants to see things on the phone and can't write because of being too young while the other parent is away from home at work. Thanks.

I want to create a desktop icon to a link on a website by long pressing it. However, long-pressing the link does not have the function "Add to Home Screen" (in Chrome) and Page > Add to Home Screen (in Firefox). It adds the current page to the home screen, not the link pressed long. I need this function because some website urls does not reflect the current page, but instead the early clickable link to the website does it. So having the possibility to add the url ask an icon to home screen would help me to maintain track of the articles that I want to read again regularly (so bookmarks not sufficient). Internet browsers: Chrome, Firefox OS: Oreo 8.0 Phone: Oneplus 3T

I receive no notifications of Stackexchange -app in Android 6.0 and/or CyanogenMod 13 in Notification Bar. Confirmed that the bug is existing also in Android 6.0 [MarkCh]. Characteristics - not phone dependent because I can reproduce the problem in two CM13 in two different phones - OS independent, since occurs in stock Android 6.0 and CM13 - likely Stackexchange -app specific - not internet gadget specific (Pebble, Xiaomi Mi Band 2) Fig. 1 Stackexchange app in App Notifications, Fig. 2 Notification Access view without *Stackexchange* app, since I cannot install it enter image description here enter image description here I contacted the developer of the application by email. I also voted with one-star the application to raise awareness about the problem, which has been now more than one year in the application with Android 6.0. I know the generic thread How do I use my Google account when I have a FIDO U2F Key attached? I would like to limit the access to two modes, such that creating an isolated access if you do not have the FIDO key connected to your phone - without YubiKey 4c connected, only basic phone capabilities like in Nokia phones - with YubiKe 4c Connected, all features allowed I know that there are some custom applications which try to accomplish similar goals etc here . However, I think the case requires an OS development approach to succeed. I think the security team and OS development team should target the security tweak in current Android systems where they do not offer by default **Android with keys**. Android Nougat introduces Quick Setting tiles that are available from pulling down the status bar on the top of the screen. Unfortunately, on many devices, the tiles are light gray icons on a white background, which makes them very hard to see. Furthermore, when they are enabled, the icons switch to cyan on white. This makes differentiating between the *on* and *off* states challenging in good lighting, and nearly impossible in bright light. For non-rooted devices, how can the quick setting tiles be changed to use a dark background, or at least, implement a higher contrast?

The notification-bar fails in my new official CM13 installation enter image description here I have not removed *CyonogenSetupWizard*, which can cause such an event. The device show no notifications at all. I need to find in settings how to enable the data transfer from the phone to my computer. Final solution --- Reflashing unstable ROM with unstable ROM is not a good idea. I switched off from kyasu's ROM and official ROM (noise artifact). I then switched to Temasek/arter97's ROM found here because of its mature development, thorough documentation and solves the noise artifact bug in the official ROM. Smooth installation also. Phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 gt-i9506 ROMs used: official ROM, *cm_ks01lte-userdebug 6.0.1 MOB30D 56236a0be1*, Temasek's unofficial ROM where I did not manage to reproduce the problem in Temasek's ROM

I know that you cannot play music to your phone call without hacking the code as discussed here but I would like to connect an audio generator to a phone call. This approach should be simpler because I have the synthesizer code myself. Assume the code can be run in real-time with only a little tau time-lag so fits very well in such an application. I am not sure how you can reach an real-time access from your keyboard to your phone call. Cases where the feature is needed - Sometimes, I am in a library where I cannot talk and I cannot move without disturbing my work. However, I could easily type to the caller such that the text would be converted to speech in real-time. - Person with a disability that he cannot speak but only type. People are calling him, but currently, he cannot provide discussions because of restrictions and little understanding about the tech. I am using Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9506 with CyanogenMod 13 (Android 6.0). So I want 1. Type with your Laptop or Bluetooth keyboard connected to your phone. 2. Synthesize the typed text in real time to the phone conversation. How can you connect audio generator to your phone call?

I leave my phone (Samsung Galaxy 4 GT-I9506, Android 5.0.1 lollipop) charging on my table when going to sleep. It reaches full after some hours often. It is so annoying when the display becomes bright after battery reaching full, awakening me. I know the thread How to prevent brightness from going to full when the battery low popup appears? about the prevention of bright display when the battery goes low. The rooted device seems to be the only choice to change the default behavior. I have unsuccessfully installed *CyanogenMod* in the device a few times. I am open about other ways to root this device and change its default behavior. Settings > Display does not have any features by which you can alter the brightness mode. It would be great to customize the brightness in different modes, etc when the battery is low. In the link, the user did not want to consume extra battery with display when the battery was extremely low. I installed Firelord proposed, Tasker, where I am working the automation. I probably need to root my phone for sufficient change. --- How can you prevent brightness when battery reaches full in Android?
