Apple ID no longer working on discussions.apple.com
When I try and log into discussions.apple.com I see this message: "Please sign in again. For added security, we need to reconfirm your Apple ID" So I do that then I see: "Pick a username" It says that's available and I hit continue and then I see: "An account utilizing this email address already exi...
When I try and log into discussions.apple.com I see this message:
"Please sign in again. For added security, we need to reconfirm your Apple ID"
So I do that then I see:
"Pick a username"
It says that's available and I hit continue and then I see:
"An account utilizing this email address already exists. Only one account per email address is allowed on Apple Support Communities".
I called Apple Care and they said they weren't sure who to contact about the matter and that I should just use another email address. Of course I prefer to continue using this email address that's worked for years on the discussion groups. Apparently the site upgrade messed things up. What can I do to get this working?

MacBook Air 2011 release , OS recovery

If a buy a mac from another retailer, do I get the same warranty that I would get from Apple?
On [this page][1], it shows that without the Apple Care package, you get 1 year [limited warranty][2], and 90 days of [complimentary telephone technical support][3] on a mac. Is there any way for me to use the original Mac Plus or Mac 128k mouse with a modern Macbook Pro?
I gather the original Macs used a serial port for the mouse with a RS-422 DE-9 connector. Totally nonstandard today. But surely, at some point some company (Apple?) must have made an adapter to use the early mice with USB-based Macs? Thanks for any info...

I recently bought a 13" retina MacBook Pro. I set it up with my Apple ID. I subsequently changed my Apple ID password on my iPhone. When I came back to log into the MacBook, it wouldn't let me with my new password. So I tired my old password which didn't work as well. I performed a factory restore on it and that seemed to work. But I then noticed that it deleted certain apps that where already installed on the computer such as iMovie. When I go to the Mac App Store to re-download them, they are shown as paid apps.
How do I download them again for free?

Ok, I had a chat with an Apple Expert on the live chat (via the website) in order to pay monthly, you will have to place an order WITH a financial payment which is label in the payment method (second tab on the panel).
After that, confirm your order and you will be redirected to an Apple "Apply Now" which you will place an confirmation for Apple to approve or disapprove, if you are approved you will be sent an application - if you dislike the Terms and Conditions, your order will be canceled.

I've noticed that a Macbook Air model A1465 / 2631 has been sitting here for a couple of weeks.
Now that I've checked that it doesn't belong to any staff member I'm wondering if it might be lost or stolen.
Is there either some way online or via the Apple Store that lost and stolen Macs are tracked?
I am a technical computer person but I'm not a Mac person, it doesn't turn on, and there's no power cable. But there is a Mac Store I can get to if need be.
