Is there a way to auto-fill the username/password when connecting to a Wifi's Captive Portal? If possible, I would like a method that does not require root access.
The portal opens with the system's default "HTML viewer" and not with Firefox/Chrome which would solve the problem since these browsers offer auto-fill.
This question has been asked in the past and users suggested:
- Captive Portal Controller app (but requires root)
- CaptivePortalLogin app which claims to do this, but is in beta and does not seem to work for me.

When I am using a physical keyboard, there is a toolbar that appears while I am typing that displays 3 words of predictive text available to autocomplete as I am typing. Surely there must be a way to choose a word from the autocomplete list with a shortcut on the physical keyboard? Specifically, I would like to use the center word from the autocomplete list. It takes more time to remove my hand from the physical keyboard to click on the word from the autocomplete list than it does to just finish typing the complete word. See the following screenshot for and example of what I am talking about:
In this screenshot, I would like to complete the word "their" using the center word in the autocomplete list without clicking on it.
EDIT: This is on a Google Pixel 6 using Gboard.

How to turn off Chrome autofill suggestions from history in Android?

I am using Google Chrome and it has an autofill suggestions feature: when I try to search anything in the search/URL bar, it offers suggestions of my previous queries and URLs from my browsing history.
*Example 1 & 2*:
Here's what I've already tried:
- I have tried to look in the settings for what could turn it off, and I found absolutely nothing remotely similar to an option that would let me do it.
- I have tried looking in

chrome://flags
and disabled just about all options that have "autofill", "suggestion" and "history" in their names.
- I naturally know I can delete individual suggestions by long-tapping them, but I want to be rid of them permanently, not have to repeat deleting them every other day.
- I cannot use incognito mode all the time because I want to have my cookies and history saved, my accounts automatically logged-in and not fear losing my tabs when I accidentally close my browser.
I would GLADLY change my browser, but I read a lot of foreign sites and only this browser has a decent auto-translation of pages feature with a translation that is actually readable.
If anybody knows how to turn off these auto-suggestions, please tell me!

I have noticed recently that Chrome for Android does not autofill passwords on Basic HTTP authentication pages.
For example, if I navigate to https://httpbin.org/basic-auth/Bijan/Password on Chrome and save the password, it works perfectly. Navigating back to the same page autofills the password.
On Chrome for Android, I verify that the password is saved. However, navigating to the same page from my phone, does not autofill the password.
Is this a bug for anyone else? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Tapping again in the text input shrinks the dropdown to the desired height.
Is there a setting to force the second behavior to be the default behavior?
**EDIT**
I quick-fixed it by passing a random value to attribute
Samsung Keyboard is the chosen input method. This happens on Edge and Chrome. Tried Gboard, yes it also happens then. I don't know why some entries are remembered and new ones not. Somehow they are remembered.

name
, so that the browser never finds associated values. But it's not a satisfying final solution.
**EDIT 2**
Reproducible on simple HTML form example https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_forms.asp

In Oreo, every time the message entry field in Google's Messages app receives focus, it immediately pops up an annoying "autofill" suggestion listing my phone numbers. (I use a dual-SIM phone, so it lists two numbers in my case).
Apparently "Autofill with Google" service believes for some reason that message entry field in Messages is somehow intended for entering phone numbers. This does not make any sense, of course.
Is there any existing workaround for this bug? Does it behave the same way in single-SIM phones?

Is there any way to delete these suggestions?
One such place where these email suggestions can be seen is in Chrome's settings, where you create a new address for form autofill. Go to Settings, Addresses and more, Add, scroll to the bottom and click on the email field, and your email addresses should be shown.

How To Autofill Custom Forms?

Currently I do it by opening "note" app then copy-pasting its content each time, which can get tedious since it's quite long and I have to go back and forth 3 times. Also, the content of the autofill input is not exactly a secret.
Is there a way to do it?
I found a question with similar problem on Super User: [Autofill web forms](https://superuser.com/questions/1242775/autofill-web-forms) (but instead of Chrome on PC I want to do it in Chrome in Android). The comments seems to recommend a Cchrome extension that can inject JavaScript into the page. I don't mind that, I can write JS, but I don't think Chrome extensions are available on Android.
EDIT: I found here that I can execute bookmarked JS via chrome without extensions here: https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/159308/how-can-a-bookmarklet-be-added-on-mobile-chrome-without-copying-and-pasting/210701
So I made a bookmark with such content:
javascript:(function(){ document.querySelector(#urname
).value=kristian
; document.querySelector(#secretid
).value=abcdefghijkl
; document.querySelector(#otherfield
).value=000111222333444555666777888999
; })()
Which if it gets prettified/formatted it will looks like:
javascript:(function(){
document.querySelector(#urname
).value=kristian
;
document.querySelector(#secretid
).value=abcdefghijkl
;
document.querySelector(#otherfield
).value=000111222333444555666777888999
;
})()
But I still have problem: the page seems to use some kind of data binding (e.g.: react two-way binding). So when the value got changed via JS, when I click on the element it goes back to its old (empty) value. Now, how should I circumvent it?

Every app in my phone (Xiaomi Mi A2, Android One) that implements Credit Card auto-fill still shows my old credit card information even though I have already (a) replaced all my payment information in my google account a few weeks ago, (b) used 'Scan a new card' feature every time this auto-fill feature pops up and (c) cleared cache and storage of the app that used this feature.
Do you know where these credit card information are kept and where can I reset them?
Note: The credit card info above were purposefully blurred.
**Other Notes**
Out of curiosity, when I select any of those old credit cards, I get an error popup
Request failed: An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later [OR-PMIA-18]
This is expected as I have removed them from my google account.

One of the recently added Android features is biometric-protected autofill. It *should* enable something similar to iOS, where credit card numbers and passwords are protected by a fingerprint or Face ID.
However, with Chrome at least, this feature seems to not work: even if biometric security is enabled, no such auth is requested when autofill login forms (ie: with password autofill).
So: is it possible to enable biometric-protected password fills in Chrome with Android 10?

Android Chrome - enable auto-fill for the site
Android 10, Chrome 86. I have keepass2android installed and it works like a charm. The question is: if I accidently tapped 'do not use autofill for site XXX' in the dropdown on the login field, how to turn in back on for that site? Cannot find any settings for that neither in system nor in chrome.

Full disclaimer: I am using keepass2android and it doesn't seem to work. Google has made them remove the accessibility feature that worked and keepass2android claims that they have now implemented Oreo autofill integration, but that doesn't seem to work with chrome.
I've read around that the chrome team was planning on making android autofill work within chrome, but I don't know how trustworthy it all is and/or how old. I am curious if it is even possible to have an app that tells autofill where it's fields are and what it's app name/ URL is... Or whether autofill is a one way system.

Firefox sync was working on all my devices as my logins and passwords were perfectly synced. The problem started when I was offered to install the Lockwise app on Android. Where logins were available in the Firefox for Android app they wouldn't sync with the Lockwise app, the syncing went in an infinite loop and did not sync anything. Reinstalling or rebooting did not help. From this moment Firefox for Android offered to fill in the passwords from the Lockwise app, but since there were no passwords synced, there were none to fill. So I decided to uninstall the Lockwise app and go back to Google Autofill service for my global Android password management. But in the Firefox for Android app (which I use the most) I still like to use the build-in Firefox Sync autofill feature like I used to before installing the Lockwise app. Firefox for Android does not offer to fill in any password information anymore. When I look in Tools > Logins all my passwords are there, perfectly synced.
After some research I checked if the following about:config booleans were enabled: and yes they were.
signon.autofillForms
signon.autofillForms.autocompleteOff

My question is similar to [https://android.stackexchange.com/q/212457/69060](this one), but the solution doesn't work for me, so please bear with me.
I'm using Keepass2Android for autofill. It works great in most apps. It also worked in Firefox until one day I pressed _Enable autofill for [website URL]_. Now it doesn't work for this website. There's no autofill popup, so I can't undo this like I could in other apps. I've also done this in Firefox Preview and it stopped working altogether for all sites in that browser.
What I've tried:
- Solution from [this question](https://android.stackexchange.com/q/212457/69060) - I don't have the 3 dots button
- Reinstall Keepass2Android - no change
- Reinstall Firefox - no change
- Clear Firefox cache and data - no change
I'm using OnePlus 6T with latest OxygenOS (Android P-based).

These did not fix the problem:
- Changing the autofill service to Google and then back
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the app in which I want to use autofill
