I put a working SIM into a Pixel 3 and installed the Family Link app for my daughter. The phone never receives phone calls and always goes straight to '**line busy**'.
- Do not disturb is turned off.
- Volume is not silent.
- Call forwarding is off.
- Family Link app contacts are always allowed.
- Notification settings are always allowed.
- The phone has carrier service and can make calls. Just not receiving them.
- There are no other profiles on the phone.
Nothing is working. Can someone please help?

Pixel 3 Stuck in Fastboot mode with "No valid slot to boot" after Magisk rooting attempt

I was trying to install the factory software image from https://developers.google.com/android/images#blueline on my Pixel 3. I downloaded the image as well as the platform-tools with adb and fastboot.
After plugging in my phone, I ran
adb reboot bootloader
which put me into Fastboot mode. After this I tried to run the flash-all.bat file, but it was just stuck on the "waiting for devices" prompt. I'm not sure what I did at this point, but I must have really messed up the phone, because now I can't even boot from Fastboot, where clicking "Start" just puts me back in fastboot with the reason "no valid slot to boot." Any idea how I can get my phone working again?

When I bought my Pixel 3, one of the appeals was that Google promised unlimited storage at Google Photos (although not at max resolution).
Now, https://one.google.com/storage and https://one.google.com/storage/management tell me that I've used 97% of my storage, and it points to various videos of mine taking up a lot of space (and I thought that photos and videos taken by this phone would not "count" in my storage quota).
In my Camera app and Google Photos app, I no longer see the obvious option that used to exist that said something like "upload lower resolution photos, which don't count against your quota".
I have Android 12.
How can I fix this so that Google Photos changes the resolution downwards of those uploaded photos and videos so that my storage quota frees up again?
I don't want my Gmail to get discontinued due to lack of space, and I don't want to pay for storage that was supposed to be free.

My Google Pixel 3 phone saves videos as mp4 files that have no thumbnails in Windows Explorer.
(This screenshot shows files on my PC that I'd moved via USB from the Pixel 3.)
Apparently many other Pixel 3 owners report this same annoying situation; the problem isn't specific to my device.
How can I make my Pixel 3 generate thumbnails properly?

I used Google Maps navigation for times without any problem, on several different devices; currently I'm using a Google Pixel 3a, and it first worked properly too.
But suddenly, it began to **cut EACH guidance phrase before the end**, like in this example (freely translated from French):
> In 200 meters, at the roundabout, take the (silent here)
This happened systematically during some days, after which it started working properly again.
But it started again cutting phrases some other days later!
This has occurred during months: working - not working - working - not working...
Till it totally stopped talking: visually the navigation process works fine, but **now the device never says anything at all**.
Obviously I controlled my configuration, which is correctly set to have the guidance playing.
Important precision: very strangely, **this happens for car guidance, but pedestrian one talks normally!**
I tried following numerous help pages from the net, without success: they all address either configuration settings or device malfunction, so **the proposed solution always concerns a general problem** (affecting any sound usage, at least inside of Google Maps), **while my problem clearly happens for only certain parts**.

I am attempting to take a recovery/backup of a Pixel 3 using TWRP. I do not need to flash TWRP, just boot from it to perform the backup. Meaning, I don't care if TWRP is installed permanently.
The problem I am running into is that I need to unlock the bootloader before I can boot TWRP. And if I unlock the bootloader, the data on the device will be erased.
**My question is:** If I unlock the bootloader, will I be able to boot back into fastboot mode, and thus boot into TWRP, before the erasure occurs? And if to, how do I perform this? (I presume that if I hold the volume down button it will before rebooting it will go back into fastboot mode.)
*I am trying to obtain a backup of the phone before the erase script is activated.*
I have searched around and have not been able to resolve this question as of yet.
Thanks in advance for any assistance provided.

I have a Pixel 3 that has been fine, but its 64 GB internal storage frequently gets full, and I don't like needing to connect the device to my computer with a physical cable (it blows my mind that it's 2022 and I'm still using cables for file transfer) and move files to my PC just to free up space on my phone to keep is usable.
I see that there were versions of the phone that featured 128 GB of storage.
How could I buy a >=128 GB internal card (or whatever it's called) and install it in my device, replacing the 64 GB one?

I have been considering buying a Google Pixel 3 or 3 XL Android smartphone to use primarily for photography and phone calls. Google advertises that these phones have 12MP main cameras. That's fewer megapixels than I would like in a camera, but I was still considering those devices as possibilities.
While performing research, I saw a short video clip that showed Google's UI. From what I could tell, 12MP is only available in 4:3 aspect ratio. In 16:9 aspect ratio, the resolution drops all the way down to a paltry 8MP. That's *much* less resolution that what I what in a camera.
Is the resolution of the main camera in the Google Pixel 3 and 3XL only ~8MP in 16:9 mode? If so, is this limitation true for their entire line of Pixel smartphones?
