I don't want to needlessly tie another account to my Google profile.
I know I can '*Skip*' from that point onward, but it's uselessly annoying. Is there any way to disable this prompt (that is: to let Google know that whenever I want to buy something I'll find my way myself)?

I would like to know if someone know a way to make a wrapper (can be a shell script triggered by an app, or a simple new app) to do this processing:
- click on a icon of the wrapper
- enable precision¹
- run the app with the geo setting
- when the app is no more active, remove permission
Is this easily feasible? Any smart advice? What are guidelines?

I created a new Google account and then added it to the device; when I triee to delete the old Google Account from the device I didn’t succeed to access to the google account. I went into settings>accounts>google account, and an error popped up: "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped." Is there any other way to delete the Google account from my phone?
Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to permanently uninstall the **Google Settings** application?
**update**
Thanks for reply!
My device is
LG Optimus Me
, Android version 2.2.2
, rooted
My problem has 2 aspects:
**1.** *Simple technical*. Due to quite low internal memory of device I had memory low
message after automatically installing Google settings
. I solve this problem by moving applications to SD card. I did it before manually, but after installing app2sd
I found that I miss some movable applications.
**2.** *Vague psychological*. I know, it's quite stupid, but I feel that my device is out of control in some way. Someone can decide what apps to install on my device and I can do nothing with it. I understand that it's part of (eco)system, but I don't feel that I need that settings
. Also it's not very lightweight in terms of size. Maybe I'm too paranoid?..

I'm using a device running Android 8.1. I'm trying to complete a purchase using Google Play where I'm facing a problem while authenticating myself after I selected my payment method. I have 4 Google accounts linked to my device. I wish to use my primary Google account to authenticate myself, yet the Google Play application picks the account I've added most recently (which is my dads').
For a few hours today and last night I have searched the internet and the settings of my phone trying to find out how I can change the account that Google Play requires me to authenticate with, but I couldn't find a solution.
Now I do have the password of the Google account that Google Play prompts me to use (because my dad gave it to me), but I do not want to use that account to authenticate as I want the purcahse to be logged/added to my own (primary) Google account.
How can I modify the behavior of Google Play so that I can choose what account is used to authenticate whilst completing a purchase?

I have a HTC One S with Android 4.1.1 installed.
I recently got the "google settings" app and checked the settings in there. Under the field "location" is a switch to "Let google apps access your location" with a note that apps may access your location while the app is not being used.
If I switch that off, the GPS is not activated when I start google maps - and therefore renders it pretty useless for me. I even get a message telling me to switch google location on if I want to have a location based map. So here is the question:
When this setting is switched on, do I risk that other apps (google search or whatever else I have installed from google) will take my location from the Wifi connection or cell tower and transmit it to google for storage, or even the GPS data?
Is there any way to enable GPS in maps but not my location for all other apps, too? I am worried that the setting is a "Either you do not use Google maps, or we will know and record whenever, wherever you are". Is that the case?
I have so far only this question here but it seems to say there that the google location service does not affect GPS - but for me it does.

My device (unrooted samsung s5, latest google chrome browser version) keeps navigating to https://www.google.com to (eventually) access a public wifi's login page. This is problematic of course as the actual wifi "sign-in" page (that I'm supposed to be forwarded to, or the http redirection for it) is obviously not signed by an ssl certificate for www.google.com, so I get the expected ssl error message.
Is there some setting I can change to change the default wifi sign-in address for the android chrome browser?

I have already tried a few things:
- I'm already using the latest version of Android as of now: 5.1.1 Lollipop.
- I'm using the latest version of the Google now application: 5.1.17.19.arm
- I have tried to search for the magic phrase "okay Google everywhere"
- I have tried to uninstall and reinstalled the Google application. I think it was just a downgrade to version 4 of the app because the Google Play store told me that it is a built in application.
- restarting the Google application by force quitting the app and/or restarting the whole phone.
- switching the local from UK English to US English wherever I could find it in the phone settings.
- and maybe some other things too.
But nothing seemed to help.
What could be causing the missing option? What else could I try to make it show up?
I am also thinking about contacting support. If I do so, should I be contacting Google or Motorola?
**Edit:**
- The version of my "Google Now Launcher" application is 1.1.1.1706998
- I have even tried factory reset with and without restoring from backup; no success.

Highly appreciate any help.
