When I type the string, the Excel uses the content of the cells above to autocomplete the text, suggesting one of the strings from above. It seems that the number of cells used to collect this text is very limited (I guess, about 50 lines). How to change this value and make it start from the very first line (or at least make it the largest possible)?

I have Microsoft office paid account. And it's for Android. So I am using it in my samsung tablet. I am using it for teaching purpose, so I must use the pen tool in slideshow. But the pen tool in slideshow gives me fixed colour. There is no choice in choosing the multiple colours. And there is also the fixed weight of the pen. **I want to use multiple colours and want to make my pen thicker by increasing its thickness. But there is no option in it.** How can I do that?

I have a Samsung A50 phone, stock Android which came with the device (from Comcast), everything up to date and not rooted. I have not registered for the Samsung Galaxy store or whatever is called, and therefore never installed anything from it. I never installed Office Mobile on my phone, and looking at the list of installed apps in Google Play shows no Office Mobile. Yet, starting today, attempting to open some (but not all!) PDF files (by tapping their name in the Document folder) opens them in Office Mobile rather than the "Google Drive PDF viewer" where they did open till the day before yesterday (I did not try yesterday). There is not an option to force opening the files in "Google Drive PDF viewer". For a test, I installed the "Google PDF Viewer" (I wish they chose less similar and less confusing names). After that Android allows me to open the files with "Google PDF Viewer", but it fails with "Cannot display PDF (no file received)". After a reboot, the files were gone. What may have happened? I can guess that the files corrupted and the "Google Drive PDF viewer" magically knew (and therefore was not proposing itself to open them), whereas the other two apps did. Yet, why is there an app which I never installed and does not show up in the list of installed apps? Heck, if I search for it in Google Play, I even find it, and it shows me the option to install it!

I have a spreadsheet in my OneDrive storage. Using the OneDrive app on a Samsung TabA tablet I can see the file, but if I try to open it it says the file is corrupted. However, if I open OneDrive in a browser on the tablet I can look at the spreadsheet normally, so there's nothing wrong with the file on OneDrive. Does anyone know if the OneDrive app has issues with certain Office documents? This particular spreadsheet has 168 worksheets - could that be a problem for the app?

I want to buy a HCL tablet that have Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. I want to know if it can open MS-office and PDF files.

Microsoft apps (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) use up space apparently for no reason. At this point, I do not use them. I am using a Samsung J7 with Android 6, with 16Gb internal storage and no SD card. Since I often run out of space, I check which apps are using it. I always find Microsoft apps are taking up space **for data**, and this seems strange to me. For instance, I go to *Settings* -> *Applications* -> *Application Manager* -> *Word* -> *Storage*, and I see: Total 256 MB App 104 MB Data 152 MB *Why would Word use 152 MB **of Data**, if I did not read/use any?*
I hit CLEAR DATA not long ago, and I checked that the corresponding storage space was actually freed to 0 MB. Now it is taking again 152 MB.

It is not that much space, but in my case it makes a difference. Excel and PowerPoint behave similarly. A stranger case seems to be OneNote, with Total 3.89 MB App 0 MB Data 3.89 MB **EDIT**: Now, two days after the initial post, Word takes up 16 kB. That is fine. I will check periodically to see when it increases Data size. **EDIT**: A couple of months after the initial OP, without using any of the apps, Excel had 251Mb of Data.

On Office 365, my folder structure is this: My Contacts [container, not a folder itself] - LinkedIn - Contacts - Contacts2 - Skype for Business Contacts -... I want only contacts from my "Contacts" folder to sync to my phone, and not from the other folders. Is there a way to achieve this? I don't mind installing a sync app, but don't want to install the Outlook app. I have seen a hacks using Categories to only show selected contacts in the Contacts app on the phone, but this has 2 problems: 1. I would have to add a Category to every new contact I make in my Contacts folder to get it to sync, which is very error-prone. 2. I think it still syncs all of the contacts from every folder, using phone space and sync bandwidth. Any help is much appreciated. The Microsoft Office Lens app used to have multi-page support, but now I can't find the option. Did Microsoft remove it? If not, how do I access the multi-page scanning feature?

I just wanted to know if there's a OneNote app for Android, that would allow me to actually use it to its full potential (unlike that crap released by MS). I am thinking about getting a Transformer and it is very important to me since all my notes from classes and lectures are in OneNote. I found many apps that would allow me to work with Word, Excel or PowerPoint. But everybody seems to be forgetting about OneNote...

Today, my Samsung S5 suggested that I might want to try MS Excel: A few days ago, it did the same with MS Word. Back then, I just dismissed the message and thought that I'd be done with it, but now this is getting annoying. How do I turn off these ads? I am unable to copy an image from internet and paste it on Word documents. When I copy the image, the image's link is copied to clipboard and when I paste it on Word document the link is pasted. Can anyone tell me why am I unable to copy image to clipboard and how can I do so? I'm using Motorola Moto E on Android KitKat 4.4.4 if it matters.

I am trying to add my MS Office account in Nokia X by going to: > Settings --> Add account --> Office but it shows Can't add account from settings error. Can anyone has idea why does this error occur and what is its solution? Or is there any other way to add Office account?

I recently bought an Android tablet with a keyboard, and would like to use it to take notes of conferences, lectures, meetings etc. On a Windows or Linux notebook, I would use the excellent LyX system for this. LyX basically allows you to write structured text without worrying about the layout, saying "this is a #3 heading" or "this should be emphasized" instead of "this should be bold and a larger size". LyX then allows you to export your text as PDF, DOC, ODF, LaTeX and so on. I am looking for an App that allows a similar approach to writing for Android. What I already tested: - Writer is almost what I'm searching, a minimalist text editor that understands Markdown and saves its document as plain text on the Android device (no network necessary). I'd like a few more formatting options and an export feature, though. - Write:Tablet doesn't seem to have many structuring features - Most "office" packages like Polaris Office do not offer format templates, but restrict the user to bold / italic / font size types of formatting - Google Docs needs a constant net connection So, I'm aware that this is a very small niche I am looking for here, and such an app would probably not make sense on phones, but is there another interesting tool for structured text creation?

I'm a writer and i've just gotten a keyboard for my asus transformer (3.2 Honeycomb). However the included polaris office doesn't do keyboard shortcuts like CRTL i (for italics). Anyone know of any text editing app that supports these? It would be great if it suported docx files but any text editor would do.
