Is it possible to change my settings so that the results to me asking a question through "Ok, google" or typing on the search bar in my home screen, open in my default browser instead of the Google "App"?
I dislike how the Google App isn't actually an app in the sense that I can't open it through the recent applications shortcut, and the broswer-like window isn't actually saved in memory anywhere for me to go back to if I switch out after a search. Additionally it doesn't allow me to filter search results by date, etc. like a normal Google search does.

How to store reminders from Google Now offline?
I find it very convenient to set reminders using voice "OK Google" with Google Now. However, I cannot seem to get it to work when I do not have an internet connection. Is there a way I can set reminders with voice that will also work when offline?

It's very handy being able to talk to my phone whilst working on the laptop but in the interests of battery power locking it again would help. Particularly if I'm using bluetooth and the phone is in my pocket. Time out is set to 15 seconds but a lot can happen in 15 seconds.

EDIT:
I didn't have S Voice installed. Bixby is a stock app and I don't think I enabled it on this (or any of my) phone(s). I worked before regardless. I'll double check anyway. I uninstalled Alexa and Cortana. Updated Google App and all permissions were enabled. I toggled the Microphone option off and back on. Google Assistant app said no permissions required. Still the same result unfortunately.

If it isn't possible to do through a single user, is it possible that setting up a second user will allow this? I'm not familiar with how switching between users works on Android yet.

'Ok Google' auto launch "randomly"
My phone is a Motorola Moto G3. Sometimes, when I'm not using it, 'Ok Google' feature auto launchs and records my voice. I think it could be a bug. Is any workaround to prevent that and not disable the 'Ok Google' voice detection? Or it's the NSA?

Unfortunately that makes the features unusable because when on a charger my phone is always active and when anyone in the office says "OK", my phone starts searching away.
Same behaviour when I start the original "Google Search" app and use the hotword.
What to do?
My specs:
- Device: Samsung Galaxy S4
- ROM: SlimKat 6.8
- Launcher: Apex (has OK Google support)
- Additinal Info: Xprivacy installed.

Recently the "Ok Google" feature no longer works on my LG G3, unless I factory reset my settings. But after a few hours it stops working again even if I don't change any of my settings back. I even upgraded my phone to Lollipop, but that didn't help either. Also, I tried reprogramming my voice back...
Recently the "Ok Google" feature no longer works on my LG G3, unless I factory reset my settings. But after a few hours it stops working again even if I don't change any of my settings back. I even upgraded my phone to Lollipop, but that didn't help either. Also, I tried reprogramming my voice back into my phone via "Google settings", but it won't pick up my voice either.
So long story short the only way I can get it to pick up my voice is by clicking the microphone.

On my Nexus 6P, I can (obviously) say "OK Google" to summon Google's voice assistant hands-free, without unlocking my phone or opening an app. I really want to use this with an alternate voice assistant as well. Is there a way to launch a voice assistant app (like Cortana or Hound) on my phone with a summon command, as I can do while in the app (at least with Hound)? Is there an app that will let me do this, or is there a setting in one of those voice assistant apps that I overlooked that would enable me to launch Cortana/Hound with "Hey Cortana" or "OK Hound" from my lock screen?
I really used to think that there was a setting on Android to change your default voice assistant, but I now can't find anything like that.

I put the phone in sleep mode by pressing the power button once. You can also put the phone in sleep mode by waiting for the elapsed time period. When saying "Ok Google", nothing happens.
If I take the phone out of sleep mode, and get the phone to the 4 digit pin code, there's a little microphone icon in the lower left. If you press and hold and swipe up and to the right, you can begin talking. Google will say, "actually i can't do that while the device is locked".
There are various forums saying Google Now no longer works. Is this true with Android 6.0.1?

In Google support website I see that "**For certain devices,** you can also change some settings to turn on "Ok Google" detection outside the Google app".
So what are these "certain devices"? I have Android version 5.1. Why can't I use Ok Google from outside the app although I could use it before updating my system?
