I'm using [AutoMate - Car Dashboard](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitspice.automate) ? This app is similar to Android Auto, the feature I'm looking for is the ability to use OsmAnd's navigation instead of Google's (Android Auto, from Google tied navigation to Google Maps). Tried to search on the net on how to use/connect to the car's computer, but only saw videos on YouTube showing how to use it. When I connect my phone (with AutoMate installed), the car's computer can't see it, and the only option is to use Android Auto. Does anyone have any input/tips on how to make it work?

I used to use OsmAnd application, and while using it have created a few favorite places, and recorded a few tracks. Now that I switched to OsmAnd Plus, I'd like to copy all user-created data, like favorites and tracks, from OsmAnd to OsmAnd Plus, and then delete OsmAnd to save space. How can I do that?

I live in Argentina and use OpenStreetMap since the maps are really accurate in that area. I travel in a specific area with my Android smartphone using GPS. In that area mainly I like to save GPS coordinates in my map (my clients) and make notes to them. Additionally, I would like to add roads that are not recorded in OpenStreetMap yet, but that is not really necessary. Currently I use the OsmAnd app on my phone. It contains offline maps, which is important since I don't have any Internet connection out there. I can record favorites, but I can't really make many notes to them, like some kind of history of my visits. And I can't extend the map of unknown roads with that app. Is there a better way to achieve that? I would like to use the favorites to see where I have to make my visits next and what would be the best route for that.

I am using OsmAnd+ 3.5.5 from F-Droid on my Samsung A3 2016 running LineageOS 16 (Android 9). It all seems to working fine, but for whatever reason the voice navigation will not work, making me have to constantly look at the directions rather than listen. What am I missing here? Is there a way of making it speak to me?

I created a route using **Google Maps** and exported it as a KML file. I would like to import now this KML file into **OsmAnd** so I could check where I am. So far I found out that it is possible to create a map from a KML file with theOsmAndMapTileCreator program. However, I cannot find one, all I have is OsmAndMapCreator -- and this program does not allow me to import KML in the first place (at least I don't see such option at all). Thus, I cannot prepare a map for OsmAnd (from KML; in general I prepared regular OSM map for OsmAnd using this program). Since I didn't find any working solution with true off-line KML route imported, I use Google Maps with a pre-loaded route. There is a catch though - if I forget it is cached, and I switch anything in Google Maps I will lose this route when biking. So it is not reliable enough -- just workaround. The bottom line is -- I have KML file, I have OsmAnd, I would like to import the former into the latter. How do I do it?

I have Osmand running on Huawei Y560 with 5.1.1. Osmand was running in internal storage. I have performed "move to SD card" operation. Currently maps folder is set to /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/net.osmand.plus/files. Looks this folder is in internal memory anyway. I'm trying to change folder to /storage/sdcard1/osmand , but Osmand complains that it can't write to this directory. How to place maps to external card?

The map file provided by OsmAnd for a particular region has inaccuracies, so I would like to use this fixed OBF file instead. How to do that? I have a custom OSM file which contains just a boundary of some region, and I would like to have it permanently displayed in my OSMand app, as an overlay or underlay. I created the file using gpsbabel to convert from a KML file. I have a hard time figuring out how to make OSMand see the file as available for underlay or overlay. When I click "Configure Map", and then "Overlay map...", Enable, "Install more..." it shows me a long list of maps, but no option to use the OSM file I created. I know I can display the GPX file on my map using the Show GPX data option in "GPX files" menu, and that works, but just curious to learn if and how I can display custom maps using overlay or underlay.

Wikivoyage is a collaborative travel guide covering 25,000 destinations. It details hotels/restaurants/bars/attractions with opening hours etc. OsmAnd is an open source navigation Android app. How to make OsmAnd display all of the data from Wikivoyage? So that when scrolling the map, one can see the hotels/etc with their details, even when offline.

I have some gpx tracks recorded using OsmAnd. I can see the files using my browser and also the app "GPX Viewer" can load the files and display the tracks on a map. They are located on my external sd card at (...) /Android/data/net.osmand/files/tracks/rec However when I want to open the tracks in an editor, to change them, the "tracks" folder shows empty. This happens with all three apps I've tried: "GPX Track Editor", "Rambler GPX Editor" and "Simple Track Editor." Any suggestions?

Question regarding Osmand+ application. Will I miss something in case I download regionwide maps and don't download region maps. As far as I understood regionwide maps should cover all regions. I'm right?

There is too much going on there to my liking so I would like to: - remove the yellow arrows (not sure what they signify but they obscure the road names) - remove the black arrows (they are less intrusive but still obscure road names) - change the colour and transparency of the purple path

I really like OsmAnd, but since the last update I can't see entries correctly, as the text foreground color and background color is white. I can see the text when I press and hold the item. This is very annoying. How can I change either the foreground or background color? Is this problem specific to my ROM (CyanogenMod 11) on my phone (Samsung GT-I9505), or is this a more generic issue? I am visually impaired and have a hard time reading small fonts. In Osmand I can read the fonts when I zoom and the screen still has to be re-drawn. How can I change the default font size for street names to, say, 150%?

OsmAnd has so much information that it obscures the map. How can I decide what information (layers) that OsmAnd should show? I had hoped Define View > POI would make it possible to hide the information, but it can only emphasize the information with an orange circle.

What is the difference between the free version of OsmAnd and the Plus version? The only info I found seems to be outdated. While using the free edition the only limitation I noticed was the hint that I can only download 10 different maps.

In osmand and other gps navigation applications, my current position is shown as a spot with a certain radius, the radius shows the accuracy of my position, sometimes there is a fan shaped area in that spot, what does that mean?
