I have been trying to disable the authorizations like the Updator or msa through Password & Security in Settings on MIUI. But unfortunately I have been getting the same error message every time "Couldn't revoke authorization" even after trying again and again since ages. Can someone help me fix that problem? I think that it's because of the Android-system is actually blocked by a kind of firewall, as I see it's not even trying to revoke the services, though my device in connected to the internet. I am using the Xiaomi Pad 6 with the Global version of MIUI 13, I also have Xiaomi Pad 5 (Global version of MIUI) but with same problem on HyperOS. This isn't my first time disabling the authorizations as I've done that before on Redmi Note 10 Pro but with the Indian version of MIUI

How to revoke all authorizations (to private data) given to Xiaomi in MIUI?

On Xiaomi Mi Note 10 there are three prompts asking for authorizations: * When opening Bereinigung (the stock cleaning app; I tried using that because I still can't delete caches with Xiaomi Mi Note 10 ) * Two prompts when installing any new app (I think it used to be two) I accidentally pressed confirm to the prompt when opening Bereinigung (shown in the left/first screenshot) and I think I accidentally pressed confirm to one of two prompts after installing an app (now it only shows one prompt when installing an app shown in the right/second screenshot). The text says something like (it's in German in the screenshot): >In order to use the basic features of this service, you must agree that Xiaomi will collect, process and use your personal data and >Grant authorization >Virus scan is provided by Xiaomi. To be able to use this feature normally, you must allow Xiaomi to collect, process, and use your personal information (including the data related to your usage of this feature which will be used for content recommendation) in accordance with the Privacy Policy I didn't actually meant to press confirm but the button appeared where I meant to press another button just before the prompt showed up. And I don't even want to use these features either. **I'd like to revoke these authorizations, how can I do so?** Xiaomi cleansing - authorization prompt Xiaomi app install virus scan - authorization prompt I checked "Authorization & Revocation" in the settings, but there * it does not display the Bereinigung app or general app install related authorizations but just a few apps that I haven't disabled so far: "Updater", "Updater for System-Apps" and "Security" * authorizations can't be revoked for the few remaining app: when pressing revoke it just loads "Revoking authorization" and then displays "Could not revoke authorization"; and for the apps that this worked it required retrying it many times.

I would like to install a clean Android 11 with adb sideload, but I've encountered a problem. When I rebooted to recovery and tried adb sideload rom.zip it gives me this error: adb: sideload connection failed: device unauthorized. This adb server's $ADB_VENDOR_KEYS is not set Try 'adb kill-server' if that seems wrong. Otherwise check for a confirmation dialog on your device. Same output goes for adb shell I have also tried to see what adb devices returns when in recovery and it shows my devices as unauthorized, although when my phone is normally turned on "adb devices" shows my device as authorized. I have tried some solutions found online, but any didn't work (for e.g.: revoking usb debbuging keys). I don't know if that matters, but my phone is/have: * rooted (but right now I don't have Magisk installed) * unlocked bootloader, * stock recovery. Any help will be appreciated.

I have a Galaxy s3 (I9300) that has a broken touch screen (display is fine). I therefore can not click the authorization dialog that pops up when I try to access the device via adb on any ROMs above Android 4.2 as they require authorization to access the device via adb. On 4.2 and 4.3 of the stock ROMs, I am able to copy my ~/.android/adbkey.pub file from my machine to /data/misc/adb/adb_keys on the device via CWM recovery and gain access. I have tried this with LineageOS 14 which is on Android 7.1.1 and I still don't get access. I am wondering where the adb_keys file is located on android 7.1.1 so I can do the same.

Why does the YubiKey Neo only use Firefox, not Chrome?
I want to use the YubiKey NEO with Chrome, and when I tap the NFC sensor to the phone, the only app I can use is Firefox. I would like to have SSO work with Chrome, but not sure how they were able to make Firefox listen for NFC events.

I can log in successfully with the Alfred app to Google, but then there is a consent screen to allow the app to access my account data and both buttons are disabled like here on this picture taken from the net. enter image description here Why is it that loggging in works, but I cannot proceed from the consent screen? How can this be fixed?

I have an SGS4 i9500 device with totally screen broken. So, I can't see or touch anything. But device works. I had flashed it with Odin using this firmware: I9500XXUGNJ1_I9500SERGNJ1_SER. Then I rooted it same way and flashed CWM revovery v6.0.3.3. Now I need to install some software on it (VNC server and more and more). So, I need to have ADB shell enabled in main system. I connected via ADB in recovery, mounted main /system directory like this: ~ # cat /etc/fstab /dev/block/mmcblk0p19 /cache ext4 rw /dev/block/mmcblk0p21 /data ext4 rw /dev/block/mmcblk0p20 /system ext4 rw /dev/null /sdcard datamedia rw /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /external_sd vfat rw ~ # mount -o rw -t ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p20 /system Then, like described here I appended /defaul.prop and /system/build.prop: echo "persist.service.adb.enable=1" >> default.prop echo "persist.service.debuggable=1" >> default.prop echo "persist.sys.usb.config=mtp,adb" >> default.prop echo "persist.service.adb.enable=1" >> /system/build.prop echo "persist.service.debuggable=1" >> /system/build.prop echo "persist.sys.usb.config=mtp,adb" >> /system/build.prop So, ADB enabled in main system. But it still shows UNAUTHARIZED device status. At same link we see the solution: cd ~/.android adb push adbkey.pub /data/misc/adb/adb_keys *(from C:\User\user_name directory in my case)* Then restarted ADB daemon. But it still have UNAUTHARIZED device status when rebooted to the system. How this happens? Also, /data in recovery is same as /data in fstab when the /system isn't. I checked multiple times: /data/misc/adb/adb_keys is same as my public key. What I missed up? Any suggestions? Also may be there is another way to disable ADB auth? May be more options in .prop files? UPD: It's seems like /data/misc/adb/adb_keys for recovery and for the system are different. But everything points that's not true: cd /etc /etc # ls ls fstab mtab recovery.fstab /etc # cat recovery.fstab cat recovery.fstab # mount point fstype device device2 /efs ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p3 /boot emmc /dev/block/mmcblk0p9 /recovery emmc /dev/block/mmcblk0p10 /cache ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p19 /system ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p20 /data ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p21 length=-16384 /preload ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p16 /modem emmc /dev/block/mmcblk0p13 /sdcard datamedia /dev/null /external_sd vfat /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /etc # cat fstab cat fstab /dev/block/mmcblk0p19 /cache ext4 rw /dev/block/mmcblk0p21 /data ext4 rw /dev/block/mmcblk0p20 /system ext4 rw /dev/null /sdcard datamedia rw /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /external_sd vfat rw Thanks in advance. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 SHV-E330S with a broken screen (cannot see or touch anything). Please see this and it's comments for more context I have managed to flash TWRP on this phone (https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxys4ltea.html) and now I can boot the phone into recovery mode and during this time I can use adb to get a root shell on the phone I would like to find a way to stream it's screen to the laptop monitor and control it using adb, but I suppose I will need to root the android OS first to this more easily I cannot use the phone screen so I am not sure how I can install SuperSu.apk from the phone itself. Is there a way to install it through adb? I think the adb shell I get while the phone is in recovery is not the android OS if I understand it correctly, so I don't know adb pm install while in recovery will install the apk correctly. Using adb to control the phone while in recovery is the only I can do anything at all with this phone at the moment so as far as possible I don't want to do anything wrong which might make me loose control of adb during recovery. What is the best way to go about this? Or is there any way to get adb authorization for android OS, without root and completely through adb while in recovery?

So yesterday I accidentally changed my phone's *(Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910C)* dpi from 640 to 140 using Nomone Resolution changer that uses root and that **screwed** up my whole phone because now it completely skips my lock screen background and straight to my home background but all it shows me is the background itself and a *tiny* error that says "System UI has stopped" and its literally the only thing there. I tried resetting my dpi using adb commands but the problem is that my laptop isn't authorized to my phone, I mean usb debugging is on (i think) but I don't think that will help because I have no access whatsoever inside of my phone and I don't have CWM recovery flashed so I have no clue what to do :'(( I saw this post that says i should try installing a custom launcher to fix the problem but like I said its no use trying to do anything because my laptop isn't authorized:( I seriously have no clue what to do and I really don't want to reset my phone because I have a lot of important files and pictures there, any suggestions? Thanks. ***Update***: So i managed to flash TWRP recovery but now i don't know what to do because I don't have a back up and i dont know the file that managed to change my dpi but at least i managed to progress somehow. What do i do next?

Over the past week, whenever I try to open the Play Store/Market app on my phone, the app thinks for a while and then displays this error message: > Authentication is required. You need to sign into your Google Account. But I am indeed signed into my Google account, as seen in other Google applications running on the phone, and as seen if I open the menu in the Market app and click the "Accounts" button. I suspect this might be related to the fact that over the past few months I've had two different Google accounts synced to this device, and I have recently removed one of them from the phone. No other Google application has had any problems with removing one account. Does anyone know how I can solve this issue? I can still install applications by using the market website (now "Google Play"), but this is still a big inconvenience. I also think I stopped getting updates.

I would like to know if it possible to disable the captive portal detection required by my WIFI HotsPot of my company. I found this question , the solution of which should remove the WIFI notification for enter the login / password of the captive portal. May be I didn't understand well the problem due my poor English skill. I don't want to transform my Android Box to a new WIFI HotSpot Box. Rather, I want to connect my Android system to the WIFI captive portal of my company. However I applied the booth solution of the question above. No issue as all the ping to outside are lost, and the system still isolated from the network. Everything it's working with an authentication. When I'm connecting to the HotSpot of my company, the status is : Connected, No Internet. As the Android Box has been declared to pass through without any authentication on my WIFI network, my system should not ask for any login and password, the MAC address should be the identification only Thanks for any help

I change the password of my Google account on a frequent basis. My password is always a quite long alphanumeric string generated by a password manager. Typing it is really annoying, specially on a touch interface, so usually I copy and paste it. It works in-browser, but **I can't use long pressing to copy and paste on the "Google Signin" screen**. --- Let me be more clear. When I change it from the desktop web interface, a few moments later my phone complains about an "Account action required". enter image description here Clicking the notification shows me a (native, browserless) screen that says: > Couldn't sign in: you typed an incorrect password or your account has changed. Re-type your password. If you forgot your password and need to recover your account click here. enter image description here Then it shows me another non-browser screen where it expects me to type my password. On this screen, I can paste as usual, by long-pressing near the cursor and then waiting for a "paste" button to apper. enter image description here So far, so good. However, I have two-factor authentication turned on, and just typing my password isn't enough. I see a second screen that says: > Couldn't sign in: To access your account, you must sign in on the web. Touch Next to start Browser signin. enter image description here Then it opens what seems to be a browser-within-a-window, with my email address already typed and waiting for my password. The problem is, **I can't paste on this screen.** Long pressing does not show the "paste" button. enter image description here And if I trick it into showing me the button, then I can't submitting the password: I have followed [this answer](https://android.stackexchange.com/a/67367/22441) on a related question (writing a single characther and then long pressing), but then pressing the submit button produces no result at all.

I am using a Nexus 10 Tablet( Android 4.4.4) . I have 3 PCs where I was already doing android development and one new PC on which I started today. All are windows 7 64-bit Service Pack1. The only difference is that of the 3 older PCs, one is DELL and two HP whereas the newer PC is lenovo ThinkCentre On the PC which I got today, I am using the same android-sdk, same google_usb_driver(version 11.0.0) and the same platform tools(for adb--adb version 1.0.32), however in my newer PC, I am not able to go into adb shell. The difference I see is that in my newer PC , I do not get the popup asking "Allow USB debugging" and when I do "adb devices", it shows the device as unauthorized. Also when I do "adb shell", it gives the error message "This adb server's $ADB_VENDOR_KEYS is not set". I went through various forums and tried the following: 1) Turning OFF and ON usb debugging and trying. 2) Doing "Revoke USB debugging authorizations". 3) Restarting my PC. 4) Deleting the C:\Users\UserName.android folder However none of these worked. Also as I mentioned, it works absolutely fine on all the other PCs with the same device. This would indicate that something is missing/wrong in my newer PC. One thing I was wondering is that when the dialog to "Allow USB debugging" comes up, it mentions that "The computers RSA key fingerprint is:xyz". Could it be that my new PC does not have some openssl or something like that which is causing some issue? Also in my older PC, the .android folder has "adbkey" file, which is not present in the .android folder for the newer PC, could this in anyway lead to the problems or is it just a symptom of the problem and not the cause? Also please note that in the newer PC, I can connect devices with android version below 4.2 (that is the devices with do not require authorization). Therefore as I said earlier, I think the root cause for the problem is that in my newer PC, I do not get the popup asking for authorization

My Nexus 7 2012 has fallen from a table and though the display as well as the device itself is fine, the touch control is completely broken. You cannot tap or touch anything. I believe I can manage a restricted access to it (thanks to great tutorial: http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/1r2zha/how_i_managed_to_use_my_android_device_with_a) if only I can execute adb commands. Unfortunately any attempts end with simple: $ adb shell error: device unauthorized. Please check the confirmation dialog on your device. Which is no option for me as my touch control is gone :-(. I am looking for any option how to bypass/authorize the confirmation without using the device's touchscreen.
