I've been trying to search for offline radio apps for my Samsung Galaxy. I tried all of these - https://freeappsforme.com/best-fm-radio-apps-without-wifi/#Radio_Fm_Without_Internet . And they all require mobile data to be turned on - but then why is it that most mobile phones, including mine, have Radio built in? The only problem with my built-in Samsung Radio is that it needs the earphones to work. I've tried through the loudspeaker, but they all need mobile data. Are there any radio apps that work offline?

I am looking for an offline FM radio without antenna. It was definitely possible on older devices with Android Jelly Bean, but I look for a non-root solution. I know that FM radio requires a 75 cm antenna, that's why the stock FM radio app is forcing me to plug in earphones. But I need another app which ignores this physical requirement. I see no reason why it shouldn't work for Android 7. But all the offline UKW/FM radio apps I found in Playstore are lying, these are just online radio apps, not using the built-in fm radio hardware.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with FM Tuner application. It is rooted. I also took a look at Spirit FM Unlocked. My question is: provided that this is illegal in some countries and not in others, and that AFAIK aviation frequencies are amplitude-modulated (AM), is it possible to (first and foremost) listen to radio frequencies beyond the 87.5/108 MHz standard ranges? Then is it possible to listen to AM frequencies wit Spirit FM or any other radio app after hacking the range? Obviously, I just would like to listen, and fortunately it's not possible to interfere with a simple Android device into these frequencies.

>When connected to my FM transmitter, I am able to hear audio from calls but they can hardly hear me. Similarly, if I want to use Google Assistant, I have to shout. I believe the issue is that a microphone on the transmitter is being used as opposed to the microphone on my phone, and this microphone is bad. However, this has always been an issue, even when the device was new 3 years ago. I can't seem to find info on the exact model of transmitter that I have, but this was the title on Amazon: Car FM Transmitter W 2.4A USB Charger, Nulaxy™ 2015 Newest Wireless Bluetooth FM Transmitter Car Kit for All Smartphones, Tablets, MP3 Players Sold by: DinoSonics It seems like there should be a setting for choosing which microphone to use when connected to a Bluetooth device, but this doesn't appear to be an option. For reference, I am currently using a Pixel 3, however the same issue was present with a Pixel 2, Droid Turbo 2, and Galaxy S5, obviously on many versions of Android. If this is the wrong board to ask this question or if any more information is needed, let me know.

Does the Samsung Galaxy S7 Universal Unlocked Model (SM-G930UZKAXAA) Have FM Radio?
Does anyone know if the SM-G930UZKAXAA model of the Galaxy S7 has FM radio or not? I've read one review saying that it doesn't, but the review was quite old and the S7 was supposed to have its FM radio capabilities unlocked via an OTA firmware update.

I have an Android device (Nougat) with a built in FM reciever. I also have an FM transmitter that I use to transmit audio to my car stereo. As I travel around, I find that the landscape of FM real radio transmissions differs. I want to be on the frequency with the least noise (regular transmissions) so that I can get the least disturbance for my own signal. There are some services where I could look this up online, or I could just do it by trial and error, but as I travel around this gets inconvenient. I know that dedicated hardware exits to automatically find the FM frequency with the least noise with one click, but I figure my phone already has the hardware to do it. Can I do it with my Android phone? I have root and Xposed Framework, if it matters.

All of the dialogue in the videos are muffled but background music and other songs are just fine. This is also the problem in Google play movies. I'm certain its the FM radio app messing with equalization. How do I fix this or reset audio settings? I've tried force stopping the FM app as well as disabling it (can't uninstall because it's a default app)

I'm considering rooting my (Verizon) Galaxy S4, currently running Lollipop as pushed by Verizon in August 2015 (plus any updates that have pushed out since then). There appears to be no likelihood that Verizon will release an update that lets me use an FM radio app such as NextRadio on this (three year old model) phone, despite the needed hardware being present (and Verizon now allowing FM radio on newer Samsung models, S6 and S7). If I were to root this phone, either with Lollipop or Marshmallow (providing I can find a ROM for the newer Android version), would I be able to continue using it on Verizon's network, as well as use FM radio? If so, what do I need to watch out for? I can't (at this time) afford to replace the phone with a newer one, so it's critical that it continue to work as a phone with the existing SIM card, regardless what I do to it.

I've tried but it says app was not install but the icon appears in desktop but doesn't run. Is there a way to make this? I saw somewhere something like the apk should be copied to system/app folder. But I receive permission denied to copy there. I tried without success with Spirit Radio and next radio apps. They don't work for my phone model Zenfone2. Thanks in advance

I've got a Samsung Galaxy S4 (Verizon), currently running Lollipop as provided by the carrier -- not rooted. Verizon has apparently recently begun to allow NextRadio to run on some of their phones, including the S7 and S7 Edge, but the app (which plays FM radio off the air) still reports something about required software missing when I try to install it. I presume, at this point, that this is a missing driver or similar that would normally be supplied in an update from the provider, but of course Verizon is barely updating security on Lollipop and S4 platforms at this time. Is there any way to get the required driver on my phone so I can use NextRadio or some other FM radio app? Ideally without rooting the phone, but if rooting and updating to a newer Android version is required, a recommendation on rooting app or method would be appreciated as well. If it matters, I run Kubuntu 14.04 on my computer, though I also have Kubuntu 16.04 installed; there's not a single Windows machine in my house.

How to record FM radio
Is there an app which can record audio (to mp3) from the FM radio (**NOT** internet-radio). I want to record some shows while listening to the radio and store them in my SD memory card but I can't seem to find any suitable application. My phone is a Huawei U8150 and I'm using Android 2.1.

I'm also using headset, but there's no control buttons, so I can't change the radio station with it. Since it's difficult to unlock while travelling (moving) and sometimes takes too many attempts, is it possible to tune-in to next radio station without unlocking? Perhaps a widget on the lock-screen?
