I used the dload method to upgrade my dual-SIM Huawei P20 Lite (ANE-LX3 C605) with bootloader locked from EMUI 8.1 to 9.1. It is actually the first time I ever do something to this phone, so I am not completely sure how this works. I think my phone was rebranded to C432 because the name of the firmware I downloaded is Huawei P20 Lite ANE-LX1 ANE-L01 ANE-L21 hw eu Anne-L01 Anne-L21 9.1.0.132(C432E5R1P7T8) Firmware 9.0.0 r3 EMUI9.1.0 05014YWN 05014YXX.zip. EMUI 9.1 works like a charm, but I want to downgrade to EMUI 8 in order to have an earlier version of Google Play services. I have download a few different firmware from androidhost.ru: 1. Huawei P20 Lite ANE-LX3 ANE-L23 claro la Anne-L23 8.0.0.152(C605) Firmware 8.0.0 r1 EMUI8.0 05015ATQ 2. Huawei P20 Lite ANE-LX1 ANE-L21 hw eu Anne-L21 8.0.0.150(C432) Firmware 8.0.0 r1 EMUI8.0 05014YWN 3. Huawei P20 Lite ANE-LX1 ANE-L21 hw eu HLRCF Anne-L21 8.0.0.180(C432) Firmware 8.0.0 r1 EMUI8.0 05014YXX With 1. and 3. it says "Software install failed! Get help from www.emui.com" With 2. it says that the software package is not compatible with the current version . I have attached a couple of screenshots with info on the version and build number as seen currently. Project menu About Any help with this matter would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

I had my phone (Huawei P20 lite) in ultra battery saving mode and manually set the light to lowest possible (went hiking for 2 days and tried to save as much battery as possible) and when I tried to use it during the day, everything was so dark I didn't knew what I was pressing. Since then, I have additional grey "button" on screen, which does...something weird. If I just put finger on it, I can drag it across the screen and leave it wherever I want. But, if I hold my finger on it for ~2 seconds, then it acts like a cursor and if I move it left/right/up/down, it just does same thing as I would press the most right button on the bottom of the phone (square). How can I disable this "action" or how it is even called? I would take a print screen of the desktop, but the circle isn't shown on it. But here's a drawing, how it looks like. enter image description here

I have an Android 10 Huawei P20. I have not installed any PDF reader apps. I want to disable the scrollbar on the side when I'm reading PDFs. It's way too easy to accidentally hit and end up hundreds of pages off from where I was at, meanwhile not having nearly enough precision to actually be remotely useful. I've been googling it for awhile, but every resource I find just screenshots stuff that looks nothing like the viewer my phone came with by default. Mine doesn't have any settings options as far as I can tell. It gives me a back button to close the file, following by the title of the file I have open, followed by a search option, a share option, and the three vertical buttons which open into options to send the file, download it (even if I opened it from my download folder), print it or send feedback to Google. I also can't find it in my apps list or any mention of pdfs in the settings options for my phone.

Can you allow certain contacts to bypass the silent mode on Huawei P20 pro?
I like my phone on silent through the night but need to have a certain contact to be able to ring (elderly relative). Not a problem when I had an iPhone, but can't find a way on Huawei P20 Pro. Is there a way you can allow certain contacts to bypass the silent mode on a Huawei P20 Pro?

Anyway, is there an artificial way to rotate my camera in landscape mode? Is there some setting or an application I can use to fix the camera precisely? (I checked a dozen of apps that only rotate the screen, but the camera remains in portrait mode within the landscape mode of the screen.) My device is Huawei P20 Pro and its OS is Android 10.

I want to have a waterproof phone that I can realiably wear when I am windsurfing. During a session it might get wet and might sink for a few centimeters for a couple of seconds from time to time. I bought a **refurbished Huawei P20 Pro** for the purpose, **IP67 waterproof**. I had watched videos on Youtube where it would be under 1.5 meters water for 15 minutes and still be working fine. After a short session on the water with this phone, where it got wet but never sunk, the next day the phone was **dead forever with water damage**. I imagined that, being refurbished, it might have been hacked by the previous owner. I got my money back and bought the same phone again, also refurbished. This one was really new, in the box with all the gadgets. I took it on a session, this time in a cheap "waterproof" pocket. At the end of the session, there was some moist in the pocket. Next day the phone was dead forever. Again. Was this hacked too? I don't think so. I got my money back and bought a **refurbished Samsung S9**, which is **waterproof IP68**. Now. I am not going to bring it with me on the water until I am sure it will survive. I could buy a IP68 protection for it but wouldn't it be overkill and actually nonsense (IP68 + IP68 = IP68) and maybe still let water in? Are these videos on Youtube realistic? Maybe 10 minutes after the video the phone becomes useless. **Are the IP67 and IP68 certifications reliable** for general public phones? I am sure they are when it concerns professional equipment. Thanks for your thoughts

Make my screen unlock pin longer than 31 digits
My question is pretty self-explaining. Currently I have a PIN number of maximum possible digits (31) that my Android 10 supports (phone is Huawei P20 Pro). Is there a way to make it longer than that? Any third party software, by rooting the phone or something similar?

I cannot figure out the whole pattern but much of the time these days if I use Google Speech to recognise some text to put into a text field eg Facebook's or Messenger's, it successfully recognises the text (it shows me) but then when the popup displaying the text goes away, it leaves the text field unchanged, instead of entering the recognised text. It seems to happen mostly if I do some speech recognition, then edit or move the cursor, then some more speech recognition. Is there any way to force the recognised text into that field or get it into "paste" so I can paste it in? (Using a Huawei P20 Pro running Android 10 and Microsoft Swiftkey to "activate" Google Speech).

When I click on this, it says: > Sync isn't working. Open Android settings and re-enable Android system sync to start Chrome sync. How do I re-enable Android system sync? --- I asked Google, but all I could find are answers for Android phones. When I go to Users & Accounts - Google - ***@gmail.com, it says "Auto-sync off, touch to sync" for all items. Moreover, when I touch to sync Chrome, it doesn't do anything. Also in Users & Accounts, when I click the three dots, the option to Auto-sync data is grayed out.

I got this keyboard from China that has holder for a phone, but has USB-micro cable. My phone (Huawei P20 lite) has USB-C, but that's not an issue, since I got usb-micro to usb-C converter. I tried to connect the keyboard through 3 different usb-micro to usb-C converters, but in any case the keyboard didn't work. A friend of mine tried on Samsung S5(usb-micro) and S9(usb-c) aswell, using another 3 different usb-micro to usb-c converters. It worked well on S5 (usb-micro) but didn't work anyhow on S9(usb-c). Tried aswell as downloading Swift keyboard (just in case it has any features) and go to Settings > Language > Default keyboard > Input settings, but there was no options whatsoever. I can't figure out what could possibly go wrong, while it's totally functionally working on all usb-micro devices and never on usb-c. How to solve this problem, what to do about this? enter image description here

I'm trying to upgrade a Samsung S7 to a Huawei P30 using the Phone Clone app on the P30. This works by setting up a WiFi hotspot on the new device and then connecting the old device to it. This fails every time, but when I look at the old S7 the hotspot has been added to the list of restricted networks, probably because the new phone isn't acting as a bridge to the internet and something stupid in the S7 is deciding it isn't a valid network because no internet. How do I get Phone Clone to work? How do I turn off whatever it is in the Samsung phone deciding to block the WiFi hotspot because it's local only?

'please keep in mind my phone has been set up properly for months now and works great' At the time I had also the Play store app call "Shortcut Creator" open in the background so I'm not sure what particular hidden shortcut I activated .. but now I can't get rid of it. I've cleared the Android package cache, ive even just let it run for some reasonable amount of time, many times to see what would happen and you guessed it.. it just stays there in the notifications. tl;dr Basically I accessed something which I don't know what and I can't get rid of this notification or windows that follows I tap in it. pictures.. Sorry guys it won't let me upload pictures screenshots so here you go please take a look. ![](https://i.sstatic.net/S9Klu.jpg) ![](https://i.sstatic.net/VVJUT.jpg) After I kick it, this happens, but phone is completely functional and restarts does everything except make money. ![](https://i.sstatic.net/ZnRgh.jpg) Device info ![](https://i.sstatic.net/fTC9F.jpg)
