Last night I installed "ROM Manager" and tried to partition my SD card. It requires rebooting my phone, and I confirmed that, so it shut down my phone. Then it can't boot anymore -- all I get is just a black screen!
Unfortunately, I read that ROM Manager can cause a hard brick for Galaxy Mini lately...
I tried all possible solutions found on the Internet, but nothing works. So I decided to try the USB JIG method as it can force my phone to boot to download mode. The point is that I can't find a 300k resistor, then can I try 330k or is it dangerous?
Is there another method to revive my phone back ??

Wi-Fi Direct on Galaxy Mini
I have already Googled a bit, but I haven't found a list specifying the supported devices. Is it possible to use Wi-Fi Direct on Samsung Galaxy Mini (GT-S5570B with Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread)? Is there a hardware limitation?

A pair of months ago I bought my first smartphone, so I am quite the noob. Suddently last week it decided to restart every 12-13 seconds (literally), as long as I don't remove the battery, and I can't find a solution on the internet. Of course I could give it to the support, but they warned me that by this way I'll lose all my data, while I'd like to save at least some. On the internet I found a couple of people with my same problem and no answer (if we exclude the "I left it in its frenzy the whole night, when I woke it was resolved", which in my case mysteriously didn't work) can you help me?
DETAILS - Samsung Galaxy mini 2 GT-S6500, no SD
THE INCIDENT - I was playing a game when it freezed (no answer from any button short of the 8 seconds forced shut down), as it had already happened, so I pressed the "off" button and started waiting, since it usually worked; I fell asleep, and when I woke up the screen was on and black. When I restarted it manually it started the evil madness. I had not installed any new app, or so I remember.
FAILED TREATMENTS
- Can't enter recovery mode by holding Volume up (+), Volume down (-) and Home button and then power on the phone. Nor does any combination of Volume, Power and Home work in any way...

I'm having a hard time with my friend's Galaxy Mini which I agreed to flash.
*I am a happy owner of S5360,I've flashed using odin before this is not my first try*.
Installed and updated kies on a clean install of Windows 7 x64.
Windows detects the phone in download mode and installs the required driver.
The whole process is the same as with my S5360 phone the difference being the drivers that are installed.
Odin won't recognize Galaxy Mini.
The device currently gets stuck at "Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570l".I can access recovery mode and download mode.
**Firmware I'm trying to flash:** S5570XWKTN
**Odin:** 4.42 and 4.43, re-downloaded multiples times from multiple sources thinking it may solve the problem
*Additional notes:*
> I've also tried this on my friends machine which has Windows 7 x86 installed.
>
> Odin never recognized the phone even when it wasn't soft bricked.
>
> At the moment I just want to make it usable. If there is any method can achieve that with or without Odin please reply.

I rooted this device about a year ago and attempted to install a rom however as I failed to find that much information on how to do it I ended up going into the stock recovery mode and attempting to install a zip file I had downloaded. I did this by choosing "apply update from sdcard".
Obviously this is completely wrong and my phone is now always stuck in a bootloop. It also seems I have filled up the entire memory of bogus files as when I tested to install a file through recovery mode I get the error "No space left on device".
My question is if there is any way I can install some ROM(or anything) so that I can use this phone again. It seems I can't do this through the phone as I don't have a custom recovery so if I can do anything from my mac that would be great.
I have also tried using heimdall-one-click to unbrick however it could not identify my device.

I know this question is quite common, but nothing I've read so far really helped me. I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini, and had a similar problem with the stock ROM. For some other reasons, I've rooted it and put Cyanogenmod 7 on it. Everything works quite well, but the free space is just eating itself. All my applications are sent to SD card (except facebook, which runs exceptionally slow when on card). And still, I'm only left with 6MB of free internal space. I've cleaned up my SMS messages and browser caches, nothing really helps. I'm showing my storage analysis. The thing that bugs me are the
P.S While taking the screenshot, the Storage Analyser is showing 18MB free, But the system is showing 9MB. Nevertheless, both are not enough for normal work.
/system
and /data
partitions. How come that /system
has so much empty space, while /data
has so little. Isn't it supposed to be a compact partition?
As for applications, I really don't have a lot, except regular GMail, Google Maps and such. Just Opera browser, iGo, Adobe Reader, Outlook and a few apps with less then 1MB.

This doesn't happen for the for the first few days after flashing the ROM. Is there any fix for this? Any patch available so that my phone can run smoothly even after 2 weeks?

I tried wiping the cache and data but when the CM recovery starts formatting /data partition it gets stuck. I also did a clean install of GingerBread stock ROM but the problem still persists. Formatting /data partition cannot be done after installing stock ROM also. Did I brick my phone? Can someone give me links where I can download new kernels and fix the problem?

I have here two phones that both exhibit the same symptoms. One is a samsung GT-S5570 running the stock ROM, the other is a Galaxy S2 running an AOSP-based custom ROM. The problem I have is that while they are connected to the wifi and are able to browse web sites, etc, they periodically stop accepting incoming connections and/or responding to pings. In order to get them to start responding again I have to disconnect and reconnect the wireless connection. Yet they are still able to make outbound connections.
Any ideas what may be causing this (somewhat bizarre) behaviour or how I can stop it?
