Updated to CyanogenMod 12.1, tablet now stuck in bootloop with TWRP

I just updated my tablet (Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1) to the latest CyanogenMod 12.1 snapshot, via the built-in updater. It worked perfectly, and booted into my homescreen just fine. I decided to factory reset it because I had some issues with Google Play, but when it restarts, it shows the tablet's logo, then flashes the TeamWin logo, goes black for a split second, then shows the logo again. I waited a few minutes, but it doesn't stop that loop.
I tried restarting, then getting into recovery mode by pushing Power + Volume Down (as well as Power, volume up and the home button, and various combinations of that), but I can only get into the screen where it says "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!".
I've tried to look this problem up, but nearly all the suggestions involve getting into the recovery, which doesn't seem to work. This is probably a terrible question, but I'm unsure on how to proceed here, without making it worse.
I've tried plugging it into a laptop, and booting it into that download screen while it's plugged into a laptop, but that doesn't change anything. Do I need to reinstall TWRP in some way, then install CyanogenMod from scratch somehow?

How can I backup app data on a user that is not an owner?

I have tried both Samsung Smart Switch and backing up via the Samsung account option in the settings, both of which require my user to be an owner/administrator. The problem is that both of these methods work just fine for transferring app data on my owner user, but none of the data on my other user seems to backup properly.
After extensive research, it appears that I have fallen into a catch 22; I can only backup data on an owner user, but to change a non-owner user to an owner I need to reset my tablet, deleting all tablet data.
Does anyone know of a way I could either change a non-owner user to an owner without data loss, or backup app data on a non-owner user?

I have a Samsung GT-P7510 tablet running Android 4.0.4 and I want to add a bookmark to the home screen so I have one touch access to the web app.
Previously this same tablet was running an earlier version of Android (3.x) and I had no problem adding a web app to the home screen. I would first add the page as a bookmark and then long press the bookmark to get a menu. On the menu there was an option to add the bookmark as a shortcut on the home screen. When I did that then I am pretty sure it allowed me to specify a name for the home screen shortcut. Once I added it then it went to the home screen automatically and I could see the shortcut icon.
I recently upgraded the tablet to Android 4.0.4 and tried to do the above operation. When I do, I see these differences. When I long press a bookmark and select "Add shortcut to home" nothing seems to happen. No dialog box comes up asking me what name I want to give the shortcut. When I go to the home screen I don't see my shortcut.
Why isn't this working???

I have to triple tap everything on Galaxy Tab 10.1
I don't know how the settings were changed; my young daughter may have done it. Also, I just got the new update this morning. I have to touch, then double tap every time. Also, there is a yellow line around the screen and everthimg. I've checked all settings I know of, but I can't reverse this.

I was reading my Kindle app when suddenly the screen on my Galaxy 10.1" tablet went blank. The battery was low, so I figured it had just died. I pressed the power button to double check and my screen showed up, except that 3/4 of the screen was black and the rest had streaked lines where the background would be. I can't even do my unlock code because I cannot see it. There has been no water damage to it and it has never been dropped. I have also never altered the coding. I tried charging the battery, powering down and restarting but the screen stays the same. Please, help. Could it be the video card? I have only had it since December.
Update: I attempted a hard reset, but I can't see enough of the screen to continue the prompts. Any suggestions would be helpful.

My Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10 (SM-T520) will discharge when connected. While the battery icon shows that it's charging, the tablet will still discharge, albeit more slowly than when not connected. This happens even under "low" use. For example, I'll have the screen brightness set to ~15% and just be browsing websites (simple forum posts trying to resolve this issue). The tablet is connected using the stock Samsung wall charger and cable that came with it, and I'll still lose a percentage point every few minutes.
Things I've tried:
* Different chargers
* Different cables
* Different battery (yes, this happens with a brand new battery installed by a Samsung representative)
I took it to a certified Samsung repair point to have it checked out and they ended up changing the battery. Presumably, they ran some sort of test to decide it was the battery's fault so, for the moment, I am assuming there is no other hardware problem.
I am using CyanogenMod 11 (11-20150105-NIGHTLY-picassowifi). Reading up on the problem, I found forum posts (for example, [here](http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59819430&postcount=12)) that suggest that some apps and/or widgets could cause this type of behavior.
Sadly, they don't mention which ones and I'd really like to avoid uninstalling _everything_ just to try. Another suggestion was to reset to the default ROM but ditto, I see that as a last resort unless someone can confirm that that will solve the issue. This didn't used to happen when the tablet was newer (I've had it since mid-December 2014, so less than a year) and using the same ROM, which would suggest that it might indeed be the fault of some app or another.

Im hoping someone can point me in the right direction. So I am in the process of attempting to unlock the bootloader on my Galaxy Tab 6. However, the device will not boot to the bootloader. I can use the Vol up + Home + Power to get to the menu options (Wipe cache, Wipe data, Reboot to bootloader etc..). However, the reboot to bootloader option simply restarts the device to the OS. I have no issue booting to the OS at all.
First I thought I had a corrupt bootloader. I used ODIN to reflash the stock OS, CSC, and BL to the tablet using the Samsung provided files. in BL I selected BL_T580XXU3BRF1_CL13839138_QB18630808_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 . In AP I selected AP_T580XXU3BRF1_CL13839138_QB18630808_REV00_user_low_ship_meta.tar.md5 , I left CP blank as there was nothing provided, and lastly for CSC I chose CSC_OXX_T580OXX3BRF3_CL13878383_QB18711126_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 . As far as ODIN options go, I have used Phone EFS clear, bootloader update, NAND erase all, and re-partition. I have had no success though. The tablet boots and works fine other than not being able to boot to the bootloader. Its really strange. Can anyone provide any insight?

I have a bunch of photos on my Samsung Galaxy Tab running 3.2 which I'd like to copy over USB to my main machine running Linux so I can work on them with GIMP and other power tools. Despite this seeming like a simple and common thing to do, I haven't found any way to do this after hours of googling and experimenting.
Some answers and articles already out there assume the existence of sdcard, which I don't have (AFIK), mention directories named /dcim or /emmc (sp?), involve Windows-only software such as Kies, or are about some specialized problem not relevent here.
I figured I could poke around the Galaxy Tab's file system with adb, but found no place holding .jpg or other image files, which I should have at least 30 or so of. If I knew the path, I could just do an adb pull to get my photos.
If it's possible, I prefer to use adb pull, since it can be automated, but I also wonder how regular folk, the nontechies, get their photos off their tablets. I have read about MTP and that the USB mass storage device way of doing things doesn't work with the Galaxy Tab (or anything Samsung?)
Just to be clear, my photos do exist on the tablet. I can see them all in the Gallery, as a regular end user. I do have the proper USB cable, and adb runs fine.

This is one of the some thousand limited edition Google IO handout Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 devices. Was known working for quite some time, and susceptible to the "sleep of death" that left it not powering on until you long press the power button while touching the screen.
Device has never been rooted, used only lightly, never dropped, everything points to a simple software/firmware problem (doesn't even have the screen glue problem like others in its batch). Charging cable works (and has worked in the past), device "should" be charged (left plugged in overnight), though they designed it without **any** hardware indicators of charge status.
Things I've tried that numerous forums like XDA and android Forums recommended **(but do nothing)**:
- Hold power button for 30 seconds
- Hold power button for 30 seconds and touch/wiggle finger on screen (used to help, no longer does anything)
- Hold power and up/down volume alternatively (or any combination thereof)
At this point, this is theoretically just an expensive paperweight, therefore I am quite willing to do damage to it to get it working again, or simply use it as parts. This must be a "simple" firmware problem, so I feel that I shouldn't have to take a spadger to it and wrench out the battery or solder in a debug cable just to get it to do something.
Any ideas?
**EDIT:**
To note, on neither Windows or Linux does any device show up or get mounted when the device is plugged in during any of the procedures mentioned above. Nvflash sees nothing.
**EDIT 2:**
To those reading unfamiliar with the Galaxy Tab 10.1, it seems to be a mostly poorly designed device with only three physical buttons (Power, Volume Up/Down), and possibly zero indicator lights. This makes the number of options left for the consumer to debug it next to nil. I'll wait a week, and unless anyone has a better idea, I'm literally cracking the sucker open and physically removing the battery.
**EDIT 3:**
Okay Android peeps, I couldn't wait any longer and went ahead and cracked the sucker open. They were right, the back plastic is very delicate (and snapped in two places, purely cosmetic though). It's fairly tidy inside, and the battery and guts are easily exposed. My attempt to read the voltage of the battery revealed it to be.. basically dead. No real voltage at all. My best guess at this point is that somehow the charging circuitry requires some kind of minimum current available in the battery before it will attempt to charge it (or perhaps enough to boot and allow the software to handle it). Seems pretty stupid to me. If I can get my hands on a replacement battery, or a something to charge the existing battery directly, **OR** a wall wart to provide the 3.7 volts directly, I will try that.
Other than that, looks like I'm totally SOL and I'd have better luck posting into the Hack-a-day QA forums than a respectable software specific support forums like Android Enthusiasts. Thanks again guys! Maybe I'll be back again later for assistance getting Ubuntu installed on my Droid 1.
**FINAL EDIT!:**
After a quick jaunt over to Hackaday, I got some confirmation that the actual read voltage across my battery terminals was BELOW the minimum for Li-Ion, so they battery was basically dead. Another quick run to ebay found me a "new" one for ~$35. 5 days later and I shoehorned the new battery in and tada! It works! .. sort of.
Due to the undue stress of being discharged (or perhaps being so lonely), the boot process was broken and it was stuck in an endless boot loop. AFter about 4 hours messing with it trying this method to do fastboot and user wipe, but finding out that windows failed to recognize the it as anything but "Unkown Device", after another 2 hours of hacking around i come to find out it's my horrible cheap chinese knockoff cable that's the culprit!!
Found the original cable, plugged it in, fastboot works, try to wipe with fastboot -w, just hangs. Fooey. Next I follow this unbrick method using the odin download to flash a "Stock" rom. This works! Yay!!! Unfortunately it's back to android 3.2... but I can't complain, as I am now the proud owner of a $35 (+ 10 hours of work) android tablet.
*What* an adventure. Hopefully this log will help someone else along the way in their own tablet adventure.

My **Galaxy Tab 10.1**, 16GB Wifi only version, **disconnects the WiFi whenever the tablet goes into sleep mode**.
I have ensured that I have selected to never sleep in advanced WiFi settings.
I downloaded and experimented with the Wifi Keep Alive and REGPON wifi KeepAlive apps, but they have had no effect.
I even tried rooting the device, and put on this ROM , in hopes that maybe some change would take effect, but it hasn't.
Is this a known issue with the Galaxy Tab 10.1? I've done some Google searching and I've seen other people report it, but most fixes seem to just describe how to go into the advanced settings and enable "never" as an option.
Is there any kind of fix I can apply?
This is a somewhat critical feature for me, as I intend to be able to receive Skype calls, which can't be done if the WiFi disconnects.

The one for the phone says adaptive fast charging with a electric symbol. It doesn't appear to work properly on the tablet. The tablet shows a symbol with a red x in it whilst the special one for the tablet is plain and shows the correct symbol while charging. The 2 different chargers are a puzzle unless you are aware and use only the dedicated one which is nearly identical to the others. Thanks Samsung for this hidden tidbit.

I tried to press the power key for some time, hoping for a hardware reset (like the one found on PCs). I also tried the
Power-Volume-Home
combo - no response.
**Is there a hardware way to reset a tablet ?** (I see a tiny hole on the edge, right of the Home button but it is really tiny)
- I do not want to perform a factory reset or "hard reset" as shown on numerous pages (using Power-Home-Volume
). This requires the tablet to be powered down
- I can wait for the power to drain and hope the tablet will restart but I would prefer to perform a reset first

How do I change the time zone (which is disabled) in Honeycomb on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1?

I have a Google IO Samsung Galaxy Tab that has decided it no longer wants to boot properly. It just constantly goes from the 'SAMSUNG' logo that flashes a couple of times to the stars and lines animation that goes back to the logo. It does the startup sound on the first iteration only.
If I hold the power button while it is doing this, it goes to a screen that just says
====================================
Entering upload mode...
Upload_Cause: undefined
====================================
and hangs there. Holding the power button again will take it back to the boot loop. In order to get it to actually power down properly I need to just wait for it to run out of battery.
I assume I'll have to stomp the firmware or something, but I'm not sure how to actually go about it. My computer is a Mac, so instructions that work there would be good, but if necessary I should be able to commandeer a Windows machine for a while.
Also the colour rendition became bad leading up to this problem (
is a reasonable approximation of the situation - it is clearly not right, but the image is still identifiable). I'm not after a separate fix for this problem (yet) - if it's still a problem once the bootloop is fixed I'll be back, but I figured it might be a relevant datapoint.
**Update:**
I've tried to get clockwork recovery on it, by following these instructions , but after actually getting the image file on there (end of section 4), it comes up with the 'Samsung Galaxy Tab' logo with an open padlock image at the bottom, and then goes back into the animation -> 'SAMSUNG' logo loop. Sooo, not that useful...
