I understand from this post why my Mac stops allowing me to autofill passwords with Touch ID every so often.
> The user hasn’t used their passcode or password to unlock their device for 156 hours (six and a half days), and the user hasn’t used biometric authentication to unlock their device in 4 hours.
However, typing my password into the alert prompt only authorizes the password autofill I'm currently trying to do. It will keep telling me I need to reauthorize until I go to
System Settings > Passwords & Touch ID
, switch **off** "Use Touch ID for autofilling passwords" (which prompts me for my Mac password), and then switch it immediately back on.
I'm surprised that authorizing in the alert isn't sufficient. Do I really need to visit System Settings each time this happens?

I reached the limit of five authorized computers per account.
The error message points one to this help page.
https://support.apple.com/en-us/118292
Here is the twist. I don't have 5 computers, I deauthorized them all in the past.
So in my settings there is no option to manage and remove devices, as there is only one.
Which probably the current one.
I also checked on in the Apple ID all the associated computers, and all the old ones were removed. There is now only one iPhone and one mac.
https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage/section/devices
I tried all possible options, also iOS and macOS settings display the devices., but I don't see any other option to authorize the current computer.
So the question basically is how to deauthorized the 4–5 computers that I can't see in the usual locations.

I need to access to '/Users/marienfarge/.config/NuGet' for a problem with virtual studio but I can't open the folder. (I have a red '-' on the folder)
When I tried to open it :
> Impossible to open the folder '.config' because you don't have the necessary authorization to display his content.
(translate form french so it's maybe not exactly this message for english user)
So I tried to modify the access in the info panel and I give the read & write access for everyone but I still can't open the folder.
Someone told me to wrote this in the terminal :
ls -leO@d /Users/marienfarge/.config/NuGet
And this is the answer :
ls: /Users/marienfarge/.config/NuGet: Permission denied
I'm the only user of the Mac and I have the last macOS version.
ls -leO@d /Users/marienfarge/.config
provides the following result:
drwx---rwx 3 root staff - 96 9 nov 15:47 /Users/marienfarge/.config

I read on StackOverflow that you can make this popup go away with the following incantation:
$ sudo security authorizationdb write system.privilege.taskport allow
It seems to have worked, but now that I'm done with
gdb
recently on my Mac and I was annoyed with the incessant popup which always shows up when I try to use gdb
:

gdb
for the time being, I thought maybe it'd be a good idea to reset this authorization rule back to its default value. But, upon inspecting man security
I see no way to do this. Is it even possible, and if so, how?

I'm concerned because
AKAuthorizationRemoteView

Any help appreciated.

I have an application that stores its files on iCloud Drive for synchronization. I'd like to write a cloud service that can also access the files.
For example, if I record a video on my app, I'd like to ask my service to download the file, and send it to a transcoding service, or something.
From the device, can I create an authenticated URL to the file? Alternatively, can I create a temporary token to send to the server, so that it can access the file? Then, when transcoding is complete, can I write back to the iCloud Drive?
I'm mostly trying to avoid uploading the entire file from the device to the server, because the files might be quite large.
I'm also trying to use iCloud Drive to support the seamless file sync between device and mac laptop _without having to explicitly authenticate_ - that type of thing isn't supported by google drive, or dropbox, correct?
Thanks _very_ much in advance, I appreciate any help at all!

I have seen variations of this question, but the scope of those questions are both limited and non-preventative.
I have the commonly reported problem of, when I go to play some songs in my iTunes library, iTunes will ask me to authourise my computer. When I input my password, it tells me I am already authourised and then asks me to authourise again.
I know the fix for this: remove the download and redownload the song. That's fine. However the issue is that large amounts of my library are now like this. I did attempt to delete my whole library and redownload, however this simply lead to other songs being afflicted. From what I can tell I don't know how to pick out the songs with this issue, and so I would have to sort through my nearly 1500 tracks, and examine each one.
I'm lazy. I don't want to do that (I will if there is no other way however.) Is there a way I can either:
- Select all of these songs, remove their download, and redownload them.
- Prevent iTunes from throwing this in the first place so I can delete and redownload everything without having to worry about different songs being afflicted. (Though the preventative measure would be useful either way)
For some extra context this did start when I moved my iTunes library to my external hard drive, as I don't have the space on my laptop's hard drive to store my entire library. I can't think why this would pose an issue? I believe iTunes is installed on my C Drive, so perhaps them being on different drives is causing a problem.
If I were just playing these on my computer, I wouldn't be worried, as I could simply sort them as they crop up, however I use an iPod and this problem prevents songs playing on that as well.

My computer is a Lenovo IdeaPad S540, I'm using iTunes 12.11.3.7, and my computer is running on Windows 10 version 21H1.
I am trying to buy music on my iTunes, and my computer tells me it requires authorization to use my AppleID. I have already authorized my computer at least twice, one of those times was in the last couple months. It requires me to use a verification code sent to another device to authorize it, but I do not have another device that I can use to authorize it. The problem is not just with iTunes though because in order to log in to my AppleID online I also need to do two factor authentication via a device that is already authorized. I do not understand why Apple doesn't remember that my computer is authorized, and I do not know what to do without another computer to authorize mine from.
I also cannot view information about my account, since that also requires log in and authentication from an authorized device.

I would like to install the SageMath package (Binaries available at http://www-ftp.lip6.fr/pub/math/sagemath/osx/intel/index.html) on macOS.
The problem is that when I unpack the package and I try to access it, then the "Python3.8" program is blocked. I know that problem and I correct it by adding the permission in "Security & Privacy". The problem is that after I allow **Python3.8** then other libraries are blocking. Authorizing them one by one does not appear to work as at some point the same library show up.
Is there a way to allow the package all at once? I am fine with having the untrusted programs being blocked, but I would appreciate if a single operation would be needed to unblock them.
From the above mentioned web site, I tried the **.tar.bz2** and the **.dmg** and the same problem occurs. If there is one way to address this in a software way when the **.dmg** is created I would be interested as I am in contact with the Sage community.

It's happening more than 50% of the time, probably 60-80% from eyeballing.
i.e. Not every time. It's not 100% repeatable. But I've just tried disconnecting and reconnecting 10 times and 7 times I got this prompt.
This is beginning to infuriate me. Is there any step I can take towards diagnosing?
EDIT: It is worth noting that the cable does work. I am able to transfer data between the computer and phone. So it appears the issue is not related to the cable.
EDIT: I've noticed this only occurs when I have
hotspot
enabled!

*macOS Sierra 10.12.6 (MacBook Air)*
I am trying to move a directory/folder from my local disk to an external hard drive. But I get an error that says:
> **Modifying "Remote Disk" requires an administrator name and password**
> To move "``", click Authenticate.
But I do not see any button or link labeled Authenticate. Also, I read here there might be a solution involving right-clicking the destination drive then selecting Get Info button. However, there is nothing there I can click.
So how can I move this folder to my external drive?
### Full screen capture movie .gif

### Step 2.

In fact, in general I cannot create folders etc in these folders. Have tried using sudo that doesn't help. Also I have done

The above didn't help either. What can I do to be able to install python libraries smoothly again?

Under Devices > my iPad > Apps, I press "Install" next to myApp and the button label becomes "Will Install", so I expect it will be transferred to my iPad on the next sync process.
When I press the Sync button below, it starts to sync both devices, and right after it show on the status bar (next to the playback buttons) "Determining which apps to install" , I get the following message:
> **The iPad could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPad.**
>
> To authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store, choose Store > Authorize This Computer.
So I go to Store > Authorize This Computer, I type my Apple account password, next to my Apple ID, and iTunes gives me the following message:
> **This computer is already authorised.**
>
> Including this one, you have authorised 3 computers out of your available 5.
If at this point I try to sync again, I get the same message above saying the computer is no longer authorized.
By the way, on my iPad, under Settings > iTunes & App Store, the active Apple account it the same as on my iMac's iTunes.
