Clicking on Microsoft Teams icon in the Dock on macOS opens a control screen rather than returning to the active session.
All other applications and especially Microsoft Office products go to the active/open file.
Is there something that I can do to change the behavior so that clicking on the Microsoft Teams icon in the MacOS Dock returns to the currently active Teams session?
I called it a control screen. It defaults to the calendar and has some other controls on it. Attached is the picture of the upper left corner of the screen.

Why is my work address included as an account under my personal phone under settings>messages> send and receive? Does this mean my employer can see my personal text messages? How did work email get there? I did not put it there.
Additional details:
It is a Personal phone - Only installed is Microsoft one drive, teams, and outlook from employer. These were installed by me and logged into work email account on my personal device.
Additionally, there is no other certificate or account or anything under VPN settings. Also, under certificates, there is no option under certificate trust setting for turning on. Only specifies trust store version and trust asset version.
Did teams put my work address under iMessage send and receive option in settings? Can my employer see my personal texts?

We've recently pushed an update for Teams to my userbase and with the switch from the "Classic" version to the "New" Teams users will need to go into System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording and then manually add New Microsoft Teams to the allowed list of apps.
I was hoping it was something we'd be able to automate through JAMF.
I'm not sure if this is possible seeing as the "new Teams" app needs to be added instead of just toggled on within the Screen Recording section.
Can this be performed in an automated manner (perhaps a scripted command-line tool or profile) to save every single machine from having to perform this manual step?

Previously, it worked fine. No matter how many times I restart Teams (including Force Quit, full restart, etc), it shows the same message.
There's no clue whatsoever about what the actual problem might be, or error code, or anything I could search on or use to debug this. It's a completely blank screen apart from "Restart teams" below the cutesy graphic of jaunty ⚠️ alert signs.
What can I do? (apart from not use Teams, which, sadly, isn't an option)

When clicking on an open application in the dock, the desktop on which it has an open window is switched to.
This works for any application, including Microsoft applications, **except MS Teams**, and it's driving me crazy.
When clicking the Teams icon, "Microsoft Teams" will appear in the top bar, but the desktop remains the same. I have to click the icon a second time to actually move to the desktop on which the teams window is open.
For new windows (e.g. when clicking 'settings...' from the top bar menu) the behavior is the same: they open on the desktop on which a teams window is already open, without switching to it.
This is annoying when I'm trying to use the keyboard. When using command-tab, the behavior has the same issue, and there is nothing I can do (I think) to force the correct desktop to become active.
So, my question: **is there a way to force the desktop, on which MS Teams has an open window, to become active when the application is switched to** (switched-to either by clicking it in the dock or by command-tab) i.e. to make it behave as any other app?

Has anybody found a working, permanent solution for this? One of the two links I'm sharing uses some proprietary software I'd like to avoid.

An employees' iPhone 11 calls specific contacts via Teams instead of making a regular phone call via the Phone app - from the Phone app's contacts list. He's on the latest iOS release - 16.5.1.
When this happens, because we don't have any Teams Phone licenses, he sees this message:
>**Couldn't complete the call**
>This type of call isn't supported on your calling license.
>Talk to your IT admin.
>[OK]
But why does it call specific numbers via Teams anyway? The numbers are all formatted the same 07xxx xxxxxx, and are labelled Mobile. Apart from the numbers and names being different, there doesn't seem to be anything setup differently on the contacts that call via the Phone app and those that switch to Teams when you try calling them.
Very odd!! Anyone else seen this and/or found a solution? It's got me stumped!

I have to manually switch to Safari to see the page I opened. Is there a way to revert this behavior so Safari automatically becomes active?
This behavior occurs when opening a link from Teams, not when opening a new tab within Safari. I have the following option enabled and it does not fix the issue I have described:
Having this toggle on does switch focus to the new tab or window when Safari is already the active focus application, but it does not cause Safari to gain active focus when Teams is currently in focus.

I have noticed that whenever I join a Microsoft Teams call or a Slack huddle my bluetooth peripherals randomly lose connection.
I have a bluetooth headset connected (usually either Samsung WH noise cancelling headphones or AirPods Pro 2), a mouse (Logitech MX Master 3) and a keyboard (Logitech Mechanical Mini or Keychron K2), when the call starts within 30 seconds or so the keyboard disconnects completely (I have to tap the keys a few times to get to re-establish connection), mouse becomes laggy occasionally and sometimes the audio experiences a lag.
It almost feels like macOS is prioritising the headphones and disconnects everything else. All the devices are within a few inches of each other on a desk so I can't think it's interference. As soon as the call ends everything goes back to normal. Interestingly this is **not** an issue when I plug headphones to the AUX port. So looks like it's directly related to being on a call and using bluetooth headsets.
Has anyone experienced something like this? Can you suggest potential causes or fixes?
(I'm using a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro chip and 16GB of RAM, Ventura 13.2.1)

This is kind-of a "Hail Mary" question, as it's obscure and weird, but I figure it can't hurt to ask.
MacOS 12.6 on an M1 Pro. I've got the MacOS version of Microsoft Teams installed, and I use a Cam Link 4K to route video from a camera for use as video for things like Teams, Zoom, Google meetings, etc. The camera works fine, but because what that Cam Link divice does is convert the HDMI stream to a USB webcam stream, it lags by 6 or 7 frames. My microphone is an ordinary USB microphone, and it also works fine.
The problem is that the video frame lag makes the audio be a little ahead (about 170 to 180 milliseconds, depending), and that freaks some people out in meetings. So I installed products from Rogue Amoeba, "Loopback" and "AudioHijack". Loopback allows creation of virtual audio devices, each with an input and an output. AudioHijack allows filters of various kinds to be added into the audio stream. Thus, AudioHijack can listen to the real microphone, route that through a 170ms delay "device", and then send the output of that to the virtual audio device.
That all works too: the delay clearly happens, and it makes Zoom through the native app work perfectly. QuickTime also uses the virtual device, and recorded video also comes out in sync. The problem is with Teams.
The Teams app allows me to choose the virtual device, and the sound works, but the delay is missing. It's as if Teams shows me the chosen device, and shows it as chosen and a (bad) volume meter definitely responds, but it decides to use the actual device anyway. I don't understand how that can be possible, but we're talking about Teams here.
So, has anybody else seen this? I've contacted the Rogue Amoeba people and tried a couple of suggestions, but they had no effect. (I'm going to get back to them; they're very nice support people.) Any suggestions (other than "delete Teams", much as I'd like to) are very welcome.

We recently did a migration in a corporate environment where our Mac users were using a combination of SMB and AFP mounts for network drives, to a Teams OneDrive solution. For a sense of scale, we can assume that the shared data sums up to about 10TB. Right now, I have my OneDrive shares set up to not keep any local files ; everything should be remote and I just did the initial sync from Teams the other day. I am a MacOS Monterey (12.3) user, and the IT department has OneDrive 22.033.0213.0002 (StandAlone) deployed to us.
My problem is that my TimeMachine backups are taking an **extremely** long time. Currently, I have a backup that has been running for close to 18 hours, and is at 45% done (4G copied) and been freeing space for a while now. Disk Utility shows 180G free on this particular TimeMachine disk.
I already have
~/Library/CloudStorage
excluded from backups, and sysctl debug.lowpri_throttle_enabled=0
set to help speeds things up. Despite this, my backups are taking an extremely long time since enabling OneDrive. Under normal circumstances, this backup would have taken about 30min tops.
Is there anything else that should be excluded from the backups? I am not seeing anything sizable in ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.*
but am sure if the sync metadata is anywhere else.
