Since a week, the Dialer, Contacts and Messenger apps have been crashing frequently whenever I try to open them. But after few hours after crashing somehow they start working normally. I have tried clearing the data and cache, tried resetting the phone, installing third-party apps for making phone calls and messages. But even those apps are crashing, if they are related to making phone calls and messages. I tried wiping the data and making a hard reset, but still the problem persists. So please help me solving this issue. Thanks in advance.

I recorded the sound in a video from my other phone, here is a link to it:

Furthermore, last time I wanted to authenticate with google 2 step verification, the sound kept playing until i rebooted my phone (latest gapps installed - mini 20170427)

Ring volume keeps reseting to zero
I have a OnePlus X running Android 5.1.1. I noticed that the ring volume keeps reseting itself (or is reset by s.t.) to zero. This usually happens when I switch the phone back from no-interruptions mode but also at essentially random moments (if much more rarely then). Is there any way to stop this?

The problems occurs on a OnePlus 5T phone running Android 8.0.0 and I haven't found anyone else online reporting this small but annoying issue. It looks like a bug to me, but maybe someone else has encountered this as well or has some ideas to solve this?

A new icon appeared in my notifications today. It looks like [Remove Circle from the Material icons](https://material.io/icons/) , except with an additional outline.
There's no info/action when I try to press on it; if I try to drag the notification section down, the icon disappears until the section collapses back.
Rebooting did not remove it.
It looks almost like the left-most icon on the right side of this screenshot ([source](https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/169961/what-does-this-notification-icon-mean)) :

I have upgraded my (rooted) OnePlus X phone from Oxygen OS 2.2.x to 3.1.4 (dirty upgrade, from Lollipop to Marshmallow).
Since doing that, the settings view crashed with "Unfortunately, Package installer has stopped" when I try to view the permission details for **some** apps. For example, when I open try to view the permissions for Hangouts (Settings > Apps > Hangouts > permissions), the above dialog appears and the following output is shown in logcat:

I recently updated my SuperSU to 2.79. Titanium Backup has stopped working since then. I've tried reinstalling it and clearing data and cache too.
Strangely, it is trying to obtain SuperUser permission from a script in the location:
system/bin/.ext/.su
when I try to execute it using Android Terminal, it throws a Syntax Error.
Any help will be appreciated.

I'm aware that I can Pause Location History online at Google Timeline , but I'm looking for option on the phone, not to pause online, but to disable it completely for privacy reasons.

I'm stuck with my planned automatization with tasker and security settings. My idea is to automatically switch to 2G/GSM when I connect to a WLAN. When disconnecting I want to switch back to 3G/4G.
I'm on Sultans CM13 on my OPX (rooted). What i did so far: Installed tasker and security settings (SS) and configured a tasker profile with a task using the SS plugin (based on [this XDA tutorial](http://forum.xda-developers.com/u/tasker-tips-tricks/guide-switch-to-2g-connected-to-wifi-t3330876)) .
Under Actions --> Device Setting I picked *global* as table and set the value of *preferred_network_mode1* to 1 (I also tested 0). I also configured the shell script described in the tutorial. But my phone is not switching to 2G when activating the WLAN although the profile is active. #edit: I just saw that there is also a parameter called preferred_network_mode followed by a 10 digit number, but it is not working either. No switch to 2G or from 2G to 3G.
Now I wanted to check if my phone/provider has another value perhaps, but when I'm executing:
`sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
SELECT name, value FROM global;`
as
su
I get the message that the table global
is not existing. Does anyone has an idea how I can access this database or how to configure Tasker/Security Settings on my OnePlus X (with CM13) in Germany (T-Mobile)?
