I have a GT-I9195 running Lollipop 5.1.1 (currently PAC-ROM) which in theory has 8GB of internal memory. However, I can't seem to track down what exactly has happened to all that space. With a paltry 100 or so apps (including system essentials) installed, the phone starts reporting it's out of space until I move apps to the external MicroSD card. The problem persisted even through the custom ROM installation and subsequent recent ROM update as well as a few factory resets/cache wipes/etc. It's been an issue for nearly 8 months now, and periodically I've trawled the Internet for suggestions and clues but without making any real progress.
It seems to me as if a large chunk of space on the phone's memory is simply inaccessible and unused. Is this possible? How can I delve deeper into what's going on?
I've included the output of a df command in terminal emulator below. I notice that there seem to be duplicates of the internal memory /storage/emulated/0 and /storage/emulated/legacy (though I think one is just an alias of the other), and that they are both the same reported size as /data.
Storage Analyser reports 541.93MB of that 5.3GB is used by accessible files and 3.59GB used by "android/inaccessible files". This adds up to the 4.1GB which df claims is in use, but I can't understand what that 3.59GB is when every app which can be put on the external SD card is already on it, and I thought that the /system partition contained the OS itself and was not included in /data?
I've tried to get ES File Explorer to do its SD card analyst trick on the /data folder but without success, so it's not easy to probe it and find out how big each subfolder is.
I'd really like to get to the bottom of this... can anyone offer a suggestion as to what to try next?
**Edit:** also of interest to me is that I do have more than a gigabyte of space on the internal storage (/storage/emulated/0), but this is apparently unavailable for installing apps on. It holds DCIM and other random storagey things, and naturally freeing up space here doesn't allow me to install any more apps on the phone memory.

**Edit2:** I finally did some digging in /data by manually selecting directories and querying them with ES File Explorer. Thankfully this didn't take too long before I found the main culprits:
data/media 1.45 GB
data/data 1.11 GB
data/dalvik-cache 1.17 GB
data/app 642.57 MB
data/user 1.11 GB (this appears to be a symlink of data/data)
Investigating data/media, I discovered a **1GB backup file created by ClockWordMod recovery**, presumably when I first flashed the ROM. Moving it to my SD card has apparently recovered that space in /data, which is fab. **This has, presumably, been the main source of my problem** - that is, assuming this space is actually available for installation of apps now (not easy to check with this ROM other than by installing apps until I run out of space).
As for the other big directories: I can believe that data/app is the total size of my installed apps, and I guess there's no getting around the dalvik cache being so huge. I'd really love to dig into data/data and see what exactly is using so much space in there, but in ES File Explorer I have to manually select each folder and click properties to find out how big a directory is - a task for another time as I've been unable to find a utility to do this for me.

**Device:** AT&T HTC Holiday w/ Android 2.3 & no service
**Goal:** To get Android 4.x (any derivative) working on said device.
**Problem:** When I tried to install the PACMAN ROM (by loosely following the instructions provided at [Update HTC Raider/Velocity/Vivid/Holiday TO Android 4.4.4 KITKAT](http://www.crazyadvisors.com/update-htc-raider-velocity-vivid-holiday-to-4-4-4-kitkat/)) I got my phone stuck in a boot loop, meaning I can't S-OFF it using the tools provided at unlimited.io. (ControlBear is too impatient waiting for the phone to reboot because the phone is perpetually in a slow-to-start first-run state as it can't get past PACMAN's language selection screen before restarting itself, I'm assuming because the phone knows PACMAN isn't signed by HTC so it kills it) It doesn't help that ControlBear is closed source, meaning I can't modify it to suit my specific conditions.
**The bright side:** I have the recovery "CWM-based Recovery (by @KDH4865) v5.0.2.7" installed on the phone, so I can flash any OS ROM I want, it's just not guaranteed to work.
**Problem (cont'd):** I don't have a backup of anything.
**The bright side (cont'd):** I imagine installing a ROM that is signed by HTC might work, such as that over-the-air update to ICS which was never received. Alternatively, I have heard chatter on the PACMAN forums about "flashing boot.img" as an alternative to S-OFF, and I have no idea what that means. All I know of are the OS partition, the user data partition, the bootloader (on a separate BIOS chip?), the recovery partition, and the GSM antenna which does that nasty S-ON security stuff. I am clearly missing a small chunk of information in my brain.
Where might one go from my current situation in pursuit of one's goal?
EDIT: It turns out HTC gives away what it calls "ROMs" in Windows executable format for its devices free of charge. Apparently it's some kind of "RUU" thing, which I guess is like Android open heart surgery. I'll try that and see how it works.

I have a **Xaomi Redmi Note 4G** and have installed
PAC-ROM-asrupesh-UNOFFICIAL-PORT.zip
from [XDA - \[ROM\]\[PORT\] PAC ROM UNOFFICIAL for Redmi Note 4G Single Sim][1] . I followed the steps from the forum to install the ROM.
Now I do not have my Gmail Calendar. If I go to Calendar -> Settings
I can see my Gmail account but no other calendar. If I hit **Add Account** there is no Gmail account.
If I go to Settings -> Accounts -> Google Account
and click my Gmail account I want the calendar to be in my mobile, but I cannot see an option to sync calendar. It is not there.
Any idea how to add the Gmail Calender to my current ROM?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 plus and rooted it via Odin and put CWM on it, with which I installed the unofficial Cyanogenmod ROM and later P.A.C .
Unfortunately I had massive issues with the signal: Despite the fact that the sim gets unlocked when entering the right sim pin at start, there were always only emergency calls available. When trying to manually select the mobile service provider and selecting the available networks (Wireless & network->More->Mobile Networks->Mobile Service Provider), there is an error while searching, and when telling the phone to automatically select a network, it says registered in network, but there is still no connection.
Really odd is the fact that when activating the option '2g networks only', the phone is registered in the network of my mobile service provider, but quits after a few seconds.
I got the phone from my MSP, so it's branded. May that be the cause of my problem?
I also noticed that both the Cyanogenmod and the Pacman ROM use the same kernel: 3.0.31/skullface@Ubuntu_13.04#1. This one is from Cyanogenmod.
Any help is appreciated.
P.S.: Some terms I used may be incorrect because the language on my phone isn't english. EDIT: I found out that the problem has something to do with a possible netlock on my device, because it askes, when there is the pin code validation disabled, for a code to unlock the sim network. At least that was what some forum threads were suggesting (in german, so I won't post them here).
Normally, this behaviour thus shouldn't occur, because I use the same sim card I used with the stock rom. May it be that my EFS directory is corrupt? (the one which contains the IMEI and stuff) EDIT: I think one needs to flash the modem, which is possible for example with ODIN. Haven't tried it although.

I have PAC-ROM Paranoid-Android (downloaded and flashed from [here](http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2235446)) , and suddenly, after changing some settings (unfortunately I can't reproduce an annoying message started popping up every 2 seconds, it says "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped.".
Has anyone faced this before?
Does anyone know how to reproduce the issue or what setting is causing that? I'm sure reflashing the ROM will solve the issue, but I prefer avoiding a reconfiguration of all my personal settings.
**UPDATE**
I'm noticing now, that since that message started to bug up, the status bar is gone.
