Why can't I flash my Xperia X8? How can I fix it?

My Sony Ericsson X8's wifi has stopped working about a few weeks after rooting and installing the GingerDX v030. Even though it is turned on and scanning, it does not connect to any WiFi. I have tried rebooting, and also resetting the WiFi antenna (i.e., either by turning it off then on, or by switching to airplane mode and then back out of it). I have to use the stock kernel otherwise the phone hard bricks.

I am using xperia x8 version 2.1 update 1. Sometimes my phone creates problem with sd card i.e it automatically ejects stating *"sd card unexpectedly removed"* and after sometime it again shows *"sd card preparing"* and it works on. This distracts me to work in phone automatically the process gets delayed. I even tried by shutting down my phone, but the problem occurs.

I would like to use my SE Xperia 8 with 2.1 as an usb wifi adapter to my PC. What I would like to do is set it to access point mode and share my ADSL internet with my laptop through wifi. I would connect the phone via an usb cable and I would like to be able to route and share my pc's internet through it to and back from my laptop. I don't mind if the firmware must be changed as I have an other phone. But I prefer if there is easier/more convenient way to do this. On the pcs I'm also flexible about OSes. My phone is a Sony Ericsson Xperia X8, and I'm using CyanogenMod. There is an app called ROM Manager included in CyanogenMod, and I found an option 'Fix permission' there. I shouldn't have used this: I had no problems before but I have some now. During the fixing process I got a lot Force close dialogs, and after next reboot the phone had reset to the *default* CyanogenMod home screen configuration, *default* options for many programs, and *default* network parameter. I also got some more Force close dialogs. I have a backup done a week ago, but I really installed a lot during the week, so I don't want to lose it all. I hope there's a way to recover current situation. I tried this through adb shell: chmod -R 755 /data/data chmod -R 744 /system/app but it didn't help. I even tried this stupid idea: chmod -R 777 / but it made even worse: after reboot, my phone forgot even my Google account and offered to reconfigure it as if it was the first time I switch the phone after buying it. Can somebody tell me which file/directory permissions could ROM Manager change and how should I restore them to make everything work? Currently I have a backup made immediately after I discovered the problem. **UPDATE:** This fix_permissions.sh didn't work for me.

I'm having problems with my Xperia X8, where it doesn't have sound from it's speaker. No phone sound, music, games, and even alerts. On the sound settings, the volume settings are set correctly. Sound is coming fine while making calls, both ways. It is even giving proper sound with headsets but sound is not coming from speakers. Torubleshooting: Restarted.... Given soft & factory reset, but no luck. (Android 2.1)

How can I enable haptic feedback on my keypad? By keypad I mean the dial pad thing where you input numbers. I can find an option to turn sound on or off for it but not haptic feedback. I have the xperia x8 by the way.
