I want to recover my Viber messages. By mistake, I deleted Viber from my phone and I didn't do a backup. Is there a way to get the messages back?

I made a group in Viber. I wanna get out all of members from this group. How can I do that?

on my old Huawei phone I backed up Viber data (chat history and media) via Viber's Settings/Account/Backup feature. On Huawei there was only the option to backup to Huawei cloud (no option to backup to Google Drive). Now, I have installed Viber on my other phone (Samsung S21) and there is no restore option in Viber because it is only expecting the backup to be on Google Drive. Is there any way I can transfer this manually?

Viber's voice message files are located in /sdcard/viber/media/.ptt/ directory, and they don't have any extension format on them. I'm looking for a solution to convert them to a common audio file format.

If they are deleted from the gallery, they are still in the chat as thumbnails, but says "file not found" if clicking on them. I added a new contact and I am trying to understand if the person has Viber installed in his phone. When i go to my Viber app and press the icon to compose a new message the person in question is not listed as part of the contacts that Viber shows. When I go to my phone contact list and view the profile, I see a Viber icon. So now I am confused. Does this mean that the person is using Viber or not?

Samsung A10 with Android 11. Nor Viber, nor Telegram shows incoming call when they are not active. I mean, that if the messenger is open (in memory) and it is currently being used (focused) then incoming call is shown. However, if another application is used (but messenger is still open) then incoming call is not shown. I think, the problem is that when messenger is not active it loses internet connection, because when Telegram becomes active (user switched to Telegram) it shows in the title "Connecting". Viber also shows something similar. This is my mother's phone. It worked well before, but something happened. Either she changed some settings or the problem in updates. Could anyone help to fix this problem?

I got a new Samsung phone (Galaxy A32 5G) and it has a "feature" that I find disappointing. I was in a video call with my grandmother, using Viber. When I switched to another app (I wanted to look up something on my calendar), the video stream automatically stopped. When I switched back to Viber, I was able to turn on my camera again, after some fumbling; my grandmother did not manage to turn on hers, although I cannot say if it really was impossible, or if she didn't find the right button. In any case, it greatly distressed my grandmother (who is very afraid of "breaking" something on her phone) and was also very unwelcome for me. On my old phone (Moto X4), when I switched between apps, Viber continued transmitting video. I think there was a small window still showing the other person, or maybe the other person just kept seeing me, and when I switched back, I saw them again. My questions are: - Is the problem related to the Samsung UI (the Moto X4 was, I believe, very close to a stock Android), or to the fact that the new phone uses a more recent version of Android? It is on Android 12, and I noticed that, when asking for permissions, it only lists the options "deny", "allow once" or "allow while the apps is running", but not just "allow" - maybe Viber loses camera permissions when I switch? - Is there a way to prevent this from happening? - If I cannot turn it off on this phone (or if turning it off requires rooting), would returning this phone and buying another one (e.g. a current model of a Motorola-brand phone) solve the problem?

I lost my phone last Friday, May 31. I was able to get already a replacement SIM card for me to use the same no. again for my new phone now. My Facebook was already hacked yesterday since my FB app in my lost phone was open just like my emails and VIBER accounts. With this, I would like to know how to log off Viber on all devices that I previously opened so my info will not be compromised. My Viber is now open on my new phone and my laptop but I want it to log off in my lost phone and all other devices. Is this possible just like Chrome, or Google, Yahoo, and even Facebook?

I have a HUAWEI P20 phone and I am using the native Google Photos app to organize my photos on this device. Only the Camera folder is set for automatic upload to the cloud. I am using Viber and WhatsApp on this phone. Their image folders are not uploaded automatically to Google Photos in the cloud and I do not need this, so that automatic uploading for this folders is turned off. I also have a couple of albums in Google Photos to which I add particular photos from the Camera, Viber Images and WhatsApp Images folders. The problem is that only photos from the Camera and Viber Images folders I added to my albums on my HUAWEI device appear in the cloud (when I view them online at https://photos.google.com/) . The images from the WhatsApp Images folder I add to the albums never appear online. Does anybody know how to solve this problem? ---------- P.S. I've looked at full image paths in Viber Images and WhatsApp Images folders to find any difference that may lead to this effect. How can I delete downloaded stickers on viber? I downloaded there a few, and the last one I wanted to download was not possible because there was not enough room in my storage space (still isn't). May be this is the answer Overview: To completely migrate Viber, you will have to copy your message databases from old device and set them to Viber's own on new device. In addition, if you want to have all photos and videos from your conversations, you must migrate them too. How to: You need both devices rooted On both devices install some Root File Manager (further "RFM"), like Total Commander or ES File Explorer. On the new device install Viber and activate your mobile number. You message board will be empty for now. Lets backup your user photos and videos: On old device go to directory, where Viber user data files installed. In most cases it will be your Home directory, such a /storage/sdcard or /mnt/sdcard or /storage/Emulated/0, etc. In most cases it is in your Internal memory, but if someone chose to move Viber to SD card, then he/she have to go to /storage/extsd or/mount/sdcard2 or whatever it named in his/shes particular system. In this directory Viber directory will exist (with "media" directory inside, just for proper identification). Directory Viber contains all downloaded user photos and all images and videos from your conversations. As many videos you send and receive, as big it will be. You will need to backup this directory. If you have external SD slot, use it for copying mentioned directory to SD card. If you do not have such, use any other method allowed by chosen RFM - send it by FTP to your PC/new device, send it by e-mail to yourself, share it to Google Drive etc. Lets copy message databases from old to new device: On the old device open RFM and go to /data/data/com.viber.voip/databases/. There you will find 6 files (in 3 corresponding pairs); you will need all of them, so copy them all to your external SD or so, as I mentioned before. Well, we finished with old device. It's up to you now for not pollute our planet throwing it to the trash mindlessly and consumingly. On new device go to the same directory and see the same files there. 3 of them (those without .journal extension) will have permissions rw-rw---- (or 660), and the rest 3 - rw------- (or 600). You may see permissions right after file name, or you must get file property - it depends on RFM. Remember those "permission map". Choose any current file and get his Properties in chosen RFM. You will see UID/GID (Owner/User and Group ID) of it either in form of owner name (like Viber) or system name (like u0_a92) or user ID (like 1092). Remember this UID or write it down. Now you can copy all 6 "old" files from SD (or whatever else place you copy them before) to current location (/data/data/com.viber.voip/databases/) on new device. Lets set proper rights to message databases: Some of RFM (as Total Commander) allows to do group operations with permissions and UID/GID. Select all 6 files and get Properties of them. If your RFM allows you to set now Owner/Group or permissions, you lucky man; if not, you will must do next steps repeatedly for each single file. Now you will need correct UID you remembered/written down before. If you thought you should easy remember u0_a92, but you don't, and now you are in doubts about correct UID, don't panic. Parent directory (/data/data/com.viber.voip/databases/) have the same correct UID, so cancel, go one level up and get it in it Properties. For all 6 files in /data/data/com.viber.voip/databases directory get it properties and there set correct UID, which you remembered before (instead of current "root", set during copy by RFM). Probably you will be pushed by RFM to choose from a (long) list of existing UIDs, instead of writing down user ID manually. For the same 6 files set the same correct GID as in previous step. In file properties (for each fileset of 3 files) set correct permissions, as you remembered before (according to "permission map"). Lets restore your photos and videos: Go to the Viber installation directory on the new device (usually /storage/sdcard if there is internal memory) and copy there Viber directory, you backed up in Step 4. Go to Settings -> Applications -> Viber and Force Stop it. Start Viber and enjoy your migrated conversations, with photos and videos, as nothing never happens. P.S. I really do not understand why Viber have no will to implement this easy procedure.
